Everything about the hotel was great. We got a good room on the 7th floor with a fantastic view of the city center, especially beautiful in the evening when everything lights up.

The breakfasts were decent; you could always find something to eat, and it was all quite tasty.

Suite guests have the privilege of accessing the Lounge Club on the 17th floor. While the breakfast selection there is a bit more modest than in the main restaurant, it's much less crowded and offers a superb view. In the evening, you can enjoy a good meal from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM, with a diverse selection of wine, beer, and spirits.

The embankment is only about a 10-minute walk away, very close. Overall, the location is very convenient.

Location 
-The hotel is located right above Zhongshan Park Subway Station which connects you to most popular tourist attractions, the 2 major airports (Shanghai Hongqiao and Pudong Airport) and the high speed train station (Shanghai Hongqiao Station) which are all on Line 2. It is right within a massive shopping complex with over 6 floors (Longemont City Life Center or 龙之梦城市生活中心）with a whole array of food, entertainment, and shopping options. There is an official Pokemon store, a Husky cafe, a cat cafe, a movie theatre, two supermarkets, a PopMart store and more! You can spend a whole day shopping here and you probably will not be able to finish exploring the whole shopping complex. There is also a Raffles City Shopping Centre right opposite if you want more options.

Room 
-We booked a 3 bedder family room and were given 2 double beds and a single bed. The room was clean and the view was amazing. The floor-to-ceiling windows gave us a vantage point of the Shanghai city view. We requested for a high floor and were given a room on the 42nd floor. The toilet was huge with a shower and a bathtub and felt luxurious.

Service and Amenities
-There was a heated swimming pool and a gym available to guests but we did not really use it. The hotel is able to accept parcels on your behalf should you decide to go on a shopping spree on Taobao. They are able to consolidate your parcels and send them to your room. They do not have a food delivery robot and I did not really try ordering food delivery to the hotel here so I will not comment much on this. Though I did see a self-collection cabinet for ******* deliveries on the first floor.

Overall, a highly recommended stay if you value convenience and shopping!

Five-star review! It was such a stress-free experience staying at the Renaissance Shanghai Yu Garden Hotel with my child for their high school entrance exams. Lene at the front desk was incredibly thoughtful, proactively arranging a quiet, soundproof room, providing the perfect resting environment for a student. The 'Good Luck' package for exam takers was a wonderful touch, with nutritious and delicious meals – a great omen for success! The service was attentive and thorough, and the room was clean and comfortable. This is definitely the top choice hotel for exam support stays!

I saw the recommendations for brunch and decided to try it – it was absolutely delicious, especially the bacon and potato pizza, which had a generous amount of cheese. The pork cheek dish looked unassuming but had an excellent texture when I tried it; I ate so much!

**Facilities**: Very good. The shower pressure was stable and the water heated up quickly. There was also a small coffee machine in the room. The hotel lobby was beautiful, and the fragrance smelled lovely.

**Hygiene**: The room was very clean, as were the bathroom and the bed. Cleanliness is what I value most in accommodation, so I had no worries here.

**Environment**: Excellent. The complimentary fruit platter was very generous, and the pastries were delicious. The minibar was super well-stocked, and the first round was free. Enjoying it while watching TV in the evening was fantastic.

**Service**: Lynable at the front desk was very enthusiastic during check-in and processed everything quickly – a definite thumbs-up. Thanks to Carina for her help when I went downstairs to grab something. The staff were all very friendly and responded quickly. It was a very pleasant trip, and I'll definitely come back!

Why do I always get assigned the room at the very end of the hall? This is not the first time I've stayed in this particular room, and it's always so cold that I need to use a heater – a first for a hotel stay! I do love your breakfast; it's very extensive, and even with a lot of people, everything is well-organized. The gym and pool are excellent and clean too.

Everything about this hotel was great, especially the service. The staff were perfectly placed; just a wave in the lobby and someone would immediately come to assist. The breakfast was thoughtfully arranged with a private booth, and the manager was very kind, even helping to lift the curtain for us. We were traveling with family for the May Day holiday and forgot our razor and toothbrushes. They proactively provided toiletries, which were quite good, especially the razor – it was really sharp, unlike the dull ones at some other hotels. Overall, I was very satisfied. I would have been even happier if breakfast had been complimentary, as my child didn't eat much anyway.

The room was quite small, but clean. There wasn't much in terms of service, and overall, the value for money was pretty poor. Flushing isn't that big anyway, so staying in different areas probably doesn't make a huge difference. Besides being clean, there really aren't any other positives. The internet was also very bad.

The front desk lady that checked us in was super nice and understanding. She allowed us to check in early which was really appreciated since we flew in from CA and with the time different and able to rest for a bit in the room before we start our day was the best ever.

It was absolutely brilliant at Renaissance New York Chelsea from the beginning to the end of our stay.

The reception staff arranged a room with amazing view per our request and explained well for everything the hotel could offer.

Room is morden, chic, spacious with great amenities and friendly housekeeping staff.

Breakfast was buffet style which was better than we expected and the hotel provides bottled water at the lobby throughout the day. 

We would highly recommend it!

I booked this hotel because of a last-minute need, and it was quite good. It's quiet despite being in a busy area, the room was clean and comfortable, and all the facilities were complete. They even gave me a 25 RMB breakfast voucher. The free luggage storage service was also excellent.

The hotel's location is incredibly convenient, just a five-minute walk from Penn station, making it easy to catch the train and also convenient to take the LIRR or subway from JFK. The room was clean and the mattress was comfortable, but the room was rather small. Our midtown view room faced 34th Street, and the main problem was the terrible soundproofing. We could hear everything clearly, from the doors of rooms opposite to police cars passing by downstairs. Light sleepers should ask the front desk for a quiet room.

Front desk staff Cecilia provided excellent service; she was very enthusiastic and followed up throughout my stay, promptly resolving any issues. The hotel room was very clean and tidy, and the views were great. Any requests I had were accommodated efficiently. Also, front desk staff Selina gave me water and helped with my luggage when I checked out, which was a nice touch. Overall, it was a great experience. My only suggestion is that it would be helpful if housekeeping could provide hair ties, as it can be quite inconvenient if you forget to bring one.

Huge thanks to Changjiu, the doorman! He greeted me when I arrived and was there again when I checked out. He was incredibly enthusiastic, proactively helping me with my luggage, opening car doors, and guiding me. His smile was truly infectious. It was a bit disappointing that the Executive Lounge was temporarily moved to the fourth floor this time; due to the space constraints, the happy hour food selection was smaller than usual. However, the all-day dining restaurant's breakfast was excellent as always, with a wide variety of fresh ingredients, and I especially loved the freshly squeezed fruit and vegetable juices. I booked an Executive Room, but was quite surprised there were no welcome fruits – last time, not only did they send fruit, but they also gave me a teddy bear since they saw I had a child with me.

“Where the Sun Rises and Beauty Flourishes” – A Review of Renaissance Beijing Zhongguancun Dongsheng Hotel

As an experienced hotel enthusiast, when checking out the newly opened high-end hotels in Beijing over the past two years, the Renaissance Beijing Zhongguancun Dongsheng Hotel was a must-visit. During my stay, I was pleasantly surprised to discover five major highlights:

1.  **Excellent Location:** The hotel is strategically located in the heart of Dongsheng Science Park, just outside the North Fifth Ring Road. This makes it ideal for business travelers working for nearby tech companies, while also catering to high-end hotel consumers in the northern Beijing area. Furthermore, both the above-ground and underground parking lots have ample spaces and are free for hotel guests.

2.  **Tech-Savvy Ambiance:** The hotel's elevators feature unique floating, touchless buttons, which not only effectively prevent germ transmission but also showcase the technological sophistication expected of a five-star hotel situated in a science park. The hotel lobby also boasts three smart robots that can conveniently deliver takeout to guests.

3.  **Thoughtful Design:** As a newly opened Renaissance property, its distinctive design is truly remarkable. The hotel uses “horses” as its central design element, extending this theme into a series of spatial aesthetics. For instance, you'll find various horse riding accessories in the elevator lobbies, and the chairs in the guest rooms are designed to resemble saddles. The writing desks feature a Chinese chess board pattern as their base, while the bathroom decor incorporates Western chess pieces. Every corner offers a unique view, with each vista distinct from the others.

4.  **Brand New Facilities:** The hotel gym is not only spacious but also fully equipped with TECHNOGYM spin bikes, treadmills, and elliptical machines. As a fitness enthusiast, I found them incredibly user-friendly and convenient.

5.  **Warm and Meticulous Service:** Belonging to the Marriott Hotel Group, this Renaissance hotel upholds Marriott’s high standards of service. During breakfast, the restaurant staff, noticing I was dining alone, thoughtfully placed an “I am still dining” sign on my table to prevent the cleaning staff from accidentally clearing my plate and cup. What truly impressed me, however, happened on the night of my check-in. I suddenly developed a stomachache. After ordering stomach medicine via a delivery platform, I called concierge, hoping they could arrange for a robot to deliver it to my room as soon as it arrived. Unexpectedly, the concierge on duty that night, upon learning of my condition, personally rushed the medicine to my room via elevator, saving precious time for my recovery. The next morning, Mr. Napoleon Fang, the hotel's Front Office Manager, along with a colleague, knocked on my door to check in. He not only inquired empathetically about my stomachache but also enthusiastically recommended the various light dishes available at the “R.E.N. Cafe” on the second floor. This gesture was truly memorable!

In summary, the Dongsheng Renaissance is an exceptional high-end hotel in northern Beijing. I sincerely wish the Renaissance continued success and beauty in the future!
