Hotels in Gwanganri Beach, Busan

Families, who understands this feeling? Right outside the hotel, a beach instantly melts away all your worries, giving you that relaxed vibe. Right across the street are all sorts of pubs, BBQ joints, cafes, and more – super convenient! Since I was traveling alone, I chose a small, semi-ocean view room. Though small, it had everything I needed, kind of like a guesthouse. The balcony next to the bed, when you open the door, offers a direct view of Gwangalli Bridge. At night, you can even capture beautiful nightscapes, watching people stroll on the beach – very therapeutic. The room provides toiletries, so no worries there! However, remember to bring a travel adapter for your plugs.

The hotel shares a building with a restaurant and bar, offering very open and expansive views. The downside is that non-guests frequently use the elevators, but thankfully the hotel has security measures in place, requiring a room card scan to access guest room floors. I booked a partial sea view room and requested one closer to the sea, but was given a room closer to the back alley, which was a bit disappointing. The room's cleanliness and facilities were good, and the shower pressure was strong, but the water temperature fluctuated between hot and cold, which could use some improvement. Lastly, I bought two cakes from the café, and one of them had gone bad. This is something both the hotel and guests should be aware of, especially since it involves food safety.

The view is amazing. It’s abit of walk but it’s worth it. Many restaurants nearby and convenience stall is just downstairs, which is great. Bathroom looks nice but the design & functionality is weird (but it’s acceptable). Overall it’s a green light for me!

The sea view is absolutely stunning, directly facing Gwangandaegyo Bridge. Below, you'll find the Haeundae Beach, and there are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. The room was incredibly spacious; the twin room we booked for two people was very comfortable. Since it's right by the sea, it's a bit of a distance from the subway station. The lobby on the sixth floor has an outdoor terrace facing the ocean, perfect for taking photos.

To celebrate our wedding anniversary, we were looking for accommodation to enjoy the night view of Gwangandaegyo Bridge. When we arrived, it was even cleaner than expected, and there were so many great restaurants nearby, which was fantastic. I especially loved the beautiful view of Gwangandaegyo Bridge right outside our window! The owner was also very kind. I was so pleased that I'd love to visit again next time. ^^

The air conditioning was incredibly noisy; I had to turn it off before bed or I couldn't sleep. Being right by the street, I could hear motorcycles roaring by all night, which was also really loud. However, the location is excellent, with plenty of restaurants and convenience stores nearby, and the beach right downstairs. The window view was also lovely. Service: The front desk staff were great too. The information sheet said extra water bottles cost 1000 KRW, and since we were too lazy to go to a convenience store, we went to the front desk to buy some. The front desk guy said we didn't have to pay for it.

First, the good points: The location is great, and the hygiene is good. Overall, there was no mold or strange smells, the sheets and pillowcases were clean, and the mattress was a little soft but acceptable. Now for some major, major issues: 1. The air conditioner vent blows directly onto the head of the bed (this is the case in every room type! You can see it in the photos the hotel provides). You can't adjust the fan speed or the direction of the vents! It blew so hard at night that I got a headache and couldn't sleep! 2. There's no one at the front desk from 12 AM to 5 AM! They can't resolve any of your problems! 3. If you feel cold because of the AC blowing on you, their solution is to tell you to turn on the dehumidifier (what's the use? Dehumidifiers also have a fan!). 4. When I said that because of the AC problem, they should give me an extra blanket (we had a double bed, but it was so cold, we needed two blankets to cover our heads and sleep!), the front desk told me an extra blanket would cost 30,000 Korean Won. (In the end, after I argued my case, the hotel did provide it for free). 5. There's a vent on the ceiling directly above the head of the bed that leaks even when it's off. I was sleeping and water started dripping down. The front desk's solution was to wipe it with a cloth, then turn on the vent for an hour and then turn it off. I had to go out in the middle of the night because the vent was so loud I couldn't sleep. 6. On the first day of check-in, the front desk told me breakfast could only be delivered to the room between 9:00 AM and 9:30 AM, and no other times. However, the next day, when I said I needed to check out early and wanted breakfast delivered at 8 AM, another front desk staff member agreed. If there isn't actually such a breakfast time rule, then this is a service attitude problem with the first staff member, who indeed made me feel very uncomfortable and discriminated against throughout my stay! If there is such a rule, it's very inconvenient for guests! Guests leaving early can't eat, and guests waking up late can only eat cold food, as the hotel doesn't provide insulation. 7. For breakfast, you can choose between Korean and ********* style. The first front desk staff didn't actively inform me about the breakfast options, and the next morning I ate seafood porridge, but I'm allergic to seafood. When I was checking out and picking up my luggage, I overheard the same front desk staff clearly explaining the breakfast options to Korean guests! 8. There are no blackout curtains. If you're sensitive to light and might wake up, be sure to bring an eye mask! 9. The air conditioner is very noisy, regardless of the mode. If you have trouble sleeping, remember to bring earplugs! In short, I slept and ate poorly. That's all.

I booked the cheapest room, which was compact (suitable for one person), but it was very clean. The bathroom was also clean, and the amenities were complete and very secure. The service was good. There's a 7-Eleven near the hotel, and you can walk straight to the beach from the end of the alley.

Pros: Right on the beach. Saturdays have a drone show to the left of the beach. Soundproofing was good, especially being on a busy beach. Big smart tv. Smart toilet. Very spacious. Front elevator was transparent so the view of the beach going up and down was nice. Lots to do nearby - arcades, convenience stores, cafes, ice cream. Breakfast was worth it with good view of the beach and good food (bibimbap station and yoghurt drinks were a plus). Fair amount of vegetarian and vegan options too but only dairy milk. Gave us 2 key cards. You can ask if you need more water bottles. The hallway of the floors has a nice view of the beach, with bean bags to sit on, even if your room does not. Cons: Only 2 elevators (one is kind of kept away behind the building). Reception is on the 15th floor, it was a bit cramped because it was in the same area as the dining area. Price was on the expensive side, especially for a room without a window.
