"The homestay is located in the place where it takes less than three minutes to walk out of the Chishang Railway Station. It is next to 7-11. There are also many snack bars, ice shops and beverage shops nearby, which is very convenient. The service staff (butler) is very friendly and kind. At the beginning of check-in, there are very clear guidelines and assistance. The room conditions encountered in the follow-up, and every demand raised, can also help communicate and solve problems as much as possible. The room retains the trunk, also provides log bed frames, and the design of the upper and lower bunks, which makes the children at home feel very novel and exciting. Although the bed board is old, the wood chips will fall off and some cracks along the bed are easy to cut. The bathroom is a simpler and non-separate curtain facilities, not suitable for placing clothes will spray wet, and it is inconvenient to use. In addition, there may be a small external window inside (it can be seen that it may be a patio or a fire lane) that is easier to attract insects. It is recommended that you can increase screens in the future, or pay more attention to housekeeping cleaning, which is better. Of course, these shortcomings may also be the main reason for the cheaper backpacker inn. Finally, I would like to thank the housekeeper for providing a lot of travel food suggestions."

AAnonymous UserThis is ny second time staying at Norden Ruder Branch 2. Excellent location, just a short walk to Tiehua Village ans Bus Station. The Central Market is also just across the street, great if you love to explore local market and grab some fresh produce to whip up simple meals in the spacious shared kitchen. Also enjoyed interacting with fellow guests when dining in the shared kitchen space. The only not so good thing is this hostel is remodeled from an old building so it's not really soundproof and you'll hear neighbors opening the door, using toilet etc. 😅 Light sleepers please be prepared.

Reading the various sad, happy, or bewildered stories left by past guests who stayed in the same room deeply moved me to tears. I gained immense energy from your stories. Thank you, hotel, for this warm and thoughtful gesture. If I ever have the chance to travel solo to Taitung again, I will definitely stay here once more!! 🥹

EEliossI had a wonderful stay: perfect location in the city center, very nice and comfortable room, kind staff. They provided a voucher to have breakfast at the coffeeshop in front, or even bought breakfast for us. Would definitely stay here again!

LLolitaI was very surprised as from the few pictures I have seen it looked small but in fact I found the small room they offer rather enough. The bathroom was huge. The bed is nice too. The reception and the breakfast rooms are well decorated and very enjoyable. Great location on top of that ! Nearby night market. And a great thanks to the young man at the reception who took time to help me park my big car.

GGuest UserThe location is great, very close to the transit hub, which was super convenient for my solo trip using tourist buses. However, it's a bit far from the train station, and there's no elevator in the building, which could be a hassle if you have luggage.

PpengThere are a few parking spots in the basement, so you'll have to be lucky to find one. Otherwise, park along the white lines on the road. There are small cookies and popcorn near the lobby, but the popcorn is quite sparse. Aiyu and millet porridge are available at 8:00 PM. The room on the third floor was nice, as the water dispenser and ice machine are located there. It was clean and spacious for four people. The bathroom had separate wet and dry areas, but the hot water took a long time to get hot. The sleep was comfortable, with a nice quilt and pillow. The water, cookies, and drinks in the room were complimentary, and the complimentary beer at check-out was a nice touch. The hot spring on the first floor consists of two pools, but there's no shower area, which is a shame. I was so wet I just wanted to shower, so I had to wrap a towel and walk back to my room. The breakfast was average, but the fly infestation was a concern. Many items were uncovered, and flies also flew onto the food on the table, which was a bit annoying.

TtwinkleracI had a pleasant stay at Traveller Inn Tiehua Cultural and Creative Hotel 4 years ago, so thought I'd try Traveller Inn Tiehua Cultural and Creative Hotel II this time, as they are located near to each other, very close to the bus station and Tiehua Village. This is a great location to explore the city. However, other than the superb location and the bigger room, there isn't much else to love about this hotel. There was literally no service at this branch. Staff were not welcoming and unlike other hotels in Taiwan, they do not greet guests when you are at the lobby. I also never saw any of them smile at guests. In fact, on my first day of check-in, I was blatantly told to check in at Traveller Inn Tiehua Cultural and Creative Hotel instead, because ”the hotel is closed for the day”. When I asked how come I was not informed earlier, the staff answered ”because you don't have a Taiwan mobile number”. This is absurd to me, isn't there the Trip.com messaging service where you can contact guests? Very disappointed with the way they handle such cases, no apology at all, and just gives a very transactional feeling. The only time I encountered a staff who greeted me was at the breakfast restaurant. Room amenities and facilities look like they need proper maintenance, and the windows were so dirty. The bed was also not very comfortable to sleep on. Lastly, I know Taiwan hotel breakfasts are usually not so nice compared to eating out in the breakfast shops, but the quality of the breakfast was really bad. Seasonal fresh fruit selection was only watermelon on 1 morning, and guava + watermelon on another. In conclusion, very disappointed with my stay here this time. Will definitely think twice about returning to Traveller Inn Tiehua Cultural and Creative Hotel II the next time I visit Taitung again.

Being particularly close to Seashore Park, it's perfect for catching both sunrise and sunset. The mattress was just right – neither too soft nor too hard – ensuring a wonderful night's sleep. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful; their excellent service truly deserves high praise.

GGuest UserWhile the facilities are new, there's considerable room for improvement in overall service. Here are a few points for consideration: 1. Before arrival, I received a call asking if I'd be okay changing from a king-bed room to two twin beds, which I agreed to. However, upon checking in, I found the room's window to be unusually small and the room quite dark. When I raised this with the front desk, they claimed I had already confirmed the change. This room clearly didn't match the photos, especially since I had specifically booked a higher-priced room. It only makes sense to switch to a two-twin-bed room if it's of a comparable price and quality. Eventually, they moved me to a quad room with a large window. 2. During check-in, when confirming payment, I was told my credit card had only been pre-authorized and not actually charged yet. However, the Trip.com app clearly showed that payment had already been made. This created a bad impression. If I had allowed the front desk to swipe my card again, I would have been double-charged. There seems to be a significant loophole in their payment management system, which could easily lead to disputes later on and should be addressed immediately. 3. In the bathroom, the shower stall only has a quarter-glass panel separating it from the sink area. After showering, the floor around the sink was completely soaked. A full glass sliding door or a shower curtain is definitely needed to prevent water from splashing all over the bathroom floor during a shower. 4. I needed a late check-out because my event didn't finish until noon, and I was aware of the 200/hour charge. I informed the front desk that morning, but upon returning, I found my key card had been deactivated, and I couldn't access my room. There's clearly a communication breakdown among the internal staff. 5. Upon check-in, breakfast was an additional 100 per person. However, when I went for breakfast, no one asked for my room number, which made me wonder if non-paying guests could also dine there. Including breakfast in the room rate might prevent such misunderstandings, or they should strictly enforce payment confirmation before allowing guests to eat.
