"I throughly enjoyed my stay here. It had a cost and homely feel. It started with a friendly check in experience. The two ladies were apologetic about the fact that the lift had malfunctioned and as I was staying 5 nights across a weekend (when not likely to get fixed quickly) they were rearranging the room to put me on a lower floor. The room had 3 bunk beds of wooden construction, enclosed on three sides with curtains. Inside the mattress was narrower than the platform, though the upside meant there was a ‘shelf’ the full length of bed on to which I could put many items (drinks, clothes, handbags etc). Hooks inside and outside the bed space. Individual lights and two power sockets. It feels very roomy , like your own living space. The room had shelving, under bed drawers big enough for carry on luggage (own padlock needed), table and chairs. Showers and toilets are in the corridor, my first thought that there was not enough but I never needed to wait as they were occupied. Hairdryer at sink. Kept clean. Each bed is provided with a small hand towel: I thought this was a great idea as it was sufficient to dry off and saved heavy use of my travel towel. Front entrance, corridors and rooms accessed by key card access. It felt like a safe place. I made frequent use of the self catering kitchen that was clean, modern and well equipped. There were plenty of storage boxes provided. There is a common area in front of reception. Beer and food available. Reliable WiFi. Location was very good. 10 min walk from the train station and drop off place of FlixBus. Vegan restaurant 10min walk. 5 min walk to Wenceslas square which has many shops and Christmas market food stalls. 10-15min walk to old town square with the astronomical clock and main Christmas market. With how busy the old town Centre is I am so glad to not be staying right in/next to it. I went to performances at the national theatre and Dvorak Hall and after evening performances felt safe walking back to the hostel. It is very easy to get around by walking or tram. If I go back to Prague, this is where I will stay."

The Sophie's Hostel is an ideal spot for travelers wanting to discover the city. Visitors to Prague will find that the Sophie's Hostel is a fantastic accommodation choice. Traveling to the hotel is easy with Prague Main Railway Station located approximately 1km away and Vaclav Havel Airport Prague roughly 16km away. Transportation around the city is also convenient, with I. P. Pavlova Metro Station within walking distance. The nearby area boasts an abundance of attractions including Dancing House, The State Opera and Vltava. This hotel makes a great place to kick back and relax after a long day of sightseeing.

"The location is great — just a few minutes’ walk from the station and close to the National Museum. Check-in and check-out were easy, and the staff were very nice. The lady at reception even let me check in early since the bed was available, and they also have a luggage room you can use for free after check-out. The room was more like a studio, with a kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom. I stayed in a 5-bed female-only room, which was quite spacious with plenty of room for everyone. There’s also a big long mirror, which I really liked, and the heating was on, making the room feel very warm and cozy. The only thing I didn’t like was that the toilet and shower were in the same room. It would be better if they were separate so you don’t have to wait when someone just wants to use the toilet quickly. Also, the tiles under the toilet were cracked and made noise when I sat down — it felt like they could break at any moment. The bathroom also had a slight urine smell, and since the shower didn’t have a door or curtain, the floor got wet after someone showered. There were no bed curtains either, so there’s not much privacy, and when someone came back late and turned on the light, it disturbed my sleep. Overall, it’s not a bad hostel, but hopefully these things can be improved."

"It was much cleaner and nicer than I expected from a hostel. We stayed in a triple room. The pristine white sheets, porcelain kettle, and thoughtfully decorated room were truly wonderful. Thank you, Sir Tobbys. Demet D."

"Our stay here was mixed at best. We loved the location and felt the beds were comfy but the other guests at the hostel were a bit inconsiderate when we stayed and there is an opportunity to improve service and amenities. We checked in late at the bar but the bartender was more keen on selling beer and we stood in line at the bar counter for about 10 minutes before he acknowledged us and while locals cut in the line in front of us. It took another 10 minutes for him to hand us the paperwork to check in. I was kind of disappointed because I filled in a pre check in before coming to Prague and the check in paperwork was asking for the details I had filled out online from their online check in sent over email. The bar is not a reception and it clearly says that in the communication sent but it would be nice to have the towels in our room so we could at least shower after a late check in. We booked a private room with two twin beds and it was nice enough. It was one of the cheapest options in the city we could do when staying in Prague for New Year's Eve. The room had a couple of chairs and a couple of tables/desks. The wifi was decent and there were a number of plugins throughout the room which was nice. The beds and pillows were comfy and heat is provided through a radiator. There was one quilt for each bed which was enough for me but my wife was very cold and it is chilly in December. There are extra blankets at reception but that was closed so my wife wore her warm clothes to bed and used my sweater as a blanket. I would suggest in the winter months or for guests with late check in that they provide blankets and towels in the room for guests. The toilets and bathrooms are shared. There were two toilets in our area labelled as room 1 and room 2 and it is unclear if the hostel had the intention that room 1 toilet be used by room 1 guests but both were left open and were mostly available during our stay. There was one shower on our floor and and it had a large towel warmer and some body wash/shampoo dispenser. We would recommend bringing your own bath products and some flip flops while staying here. The boys renting the other room came in around 2:30 am and were not respectful of the quiet hours set between 23:00-6:00. The walls and doors here are pretty thin within the flat and the noise comes through easily. They used both toilets, peed on the seats and left them unflushed on more than one occasion during our stay. I had to go out to use the toilet our first night and that's when they said ”I don't think we are alone” and went into their room to keep talking. They came back drunk and loud each night during our stay but not as loud as the first night at least. They also may not have realized (or didn't care) that the shower room was shared and left their towels, toiletries and even their underwear on the towel rack during our stay. This group really took away our enjoyment of this property during our stay but otherwise it is a decent hostel in a good location. At least this group kept the kitchen clean and washed their own dishes. There was a common area in our flat which had a kitchen and an exercise machine. The kitchen had a table with seating for four and enough cutlery and dishes to go around. It had a cooking stove/hob, fridge and kettle. They provide dish soap and cleaning cloths/sponges too. Reception is open between 8 am and 10 am so we got the extra blankets my wife needed and towels for showering. The staff at reception were helpful and efficient during our stay. The daily cleaning was nice and the cleaning lady was very thorough with the flooring in the common area which was appreciated. You can also borrow hair dryers from here if needed to. They do collect a deposit for items borrowed like the keys but they didn't collect a deposit for the towels or blankets despite signage saying that they do. The location of the hostel was fantastic. It was a short walk to major attractions in Prague like Charles Bridge an"

"I stayed at this hostel for two nights, and it might be one of the best I've ever stayed in. It's really clean, well-organized, and you can tell there's attention to detail. I can confirm what I read in some of the reviews: it's not a particularly social hostel. However, I was still able to meet some people during my stay. They have a WhatsApp group where they post about events and nights out, and on the first evening, I went out with a few people from the hostel for a pub crawl. It was a really fun night. I’d recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet, well-maintained hostel with at least some opportunities to meet new people."

"This hostel is located right next to Charles Bridge. I stayed in a dormitory. The room was comfortable, and the kitchen with a microwave, kettle, and refrigerator, and the bathroom were clean! The only disappointing thing was that when I was relaxing in the bed I was shown, a person who had just returned from sightseeing got angry and said, ”That's my bed! Why are you sleeping there!?” I explained that the staff had just shown me to my bed, but they didn't seem to understand and we had a bit of a fight. I didn't want to sleep in someone else's bed either, but they got angry at me...I understand that it's a dormitory, so there are all kinds of things...But I explained the situation to the staff and they understood. I used up a lot of energy... If it weren't for that, I think I would have a comfortable stay."

DDukenvicA&O Charles Bridge Prague Retreat Hotel Experience My stay at the A&O Charles Bridge Prague Retreat Hotel had its highlights and shortcomings. The bunk beds in the room were cleverly spaced, making it easy to move around even when on the top bunk. The room was also very clean and tidy, with no unpleasant odors from the bedding, ensuring a comfortable stay. However, the hotel service was somewhat disappointing. During check-in, one of the front desk staff was indifferent and expressionless, lacking enthusiasm and patience, which made me feel uncomfortable. Furthermore, I was informed of a significant additional charge before check-in in the early morning, without any prior explanation of the charges, which was unreasonable. One staff member did help heat up food, which is commendable. I would also appreciate the possibility of the hotel providing a communal microwave! This hotel has good facilities, but the service quality needs improvement. Travelers are advised to confirm charges before checking in to avoid unnecessary trouble. I hope the hotel will pay attention to service issues and make improvements to ensure a more comfortable and enjoyable trip for all guests.

GGuest UserLocation is great, but a big confusing to get to. The large sign outside of the building doesn’t actually say the hostel name (A plus). It says something else. The woman that checked me in and out was friendly and welcoming. I stayed in a “private” room but the toilets and showers were still shared, which was one of the purposes of me getting a private room…. This wasn’t made clear before booking. The floors were not cleaned, and my room was not cleaned in the second day (I stayed two nights). The toilets and showers were ok, but should be cleaned. When I was there, they weren’t “dirty”, but didn’t look like they’d been cleaned in quite a while. The common area was just a bunch of tables and chairs and there wasn’t much socializing going on. When I walked in, there’s was one guy who was taking a nap. That was it. There is a cool old-school elevator that works from the first floor, which is fun. Not sure why my room was as expensive as it was considering I could have stayed in an actual hotel for relatively the same price. Overall this wasn’t a bad place to stay, but definitely not worth the price.
