"So , I’ve been staying in this hotel for many years , no less than 50 nights in total , and this times is the worst . The reception people insist that we have to pay 2000 baht cash for deposit , or we can’t check in , it took me 10 minutes to drive the car out , find an ATM machine , withdraw cash and come back , please notice that because we’re always staying in the same hotel so we’re familiar with the surrounding . It’s 6:30pm , it’s just me and my daughter , with one tiny luggage case , we drive to Pattaya from Bangkok , and you look at the room , what in the room worth 2000 bath ? And why it has to be cash ? These days the online payment is also used more and more regularly in Thailand , and normally hotels is charging credit card for deposit . I can’t understand why the reception staff is so stubborn , their deposit rule is just stupid like hell … I can give them my passport first to check in the room first and go to withdraw cash on the way for dinner , unfortunately , nothing works for them , has to be 2000 baht cash … nonsense ."
