"**A Home Away from Home in Kunming**
Our stay at this homestay in Kunming was truly exceptional. The room was a perfect blend of tradition and modernity, thoughtfully designed with minimalist accessories that perfectly matched our taste. Cozy and inviting, it offered a sense of warmth and comfort that made us feel at home instantly. The view of the lake from our window added a touch of magic to our mornings and evenings.
The location is simply ideal. Situated in a peaceful area just 100–200 meters from the Ethnic Yunnan Village Park (also known as the Ethnic Minority Nationalitys Park), it allowed us to easily explore this cultural gem during a day trip, an experience we highly recommend. At the same time, the homestay is surrounded by quiet shops and local markets, making it both convenient and serene.
What truly set this place apart was the outstanding hospitality. From the moment we arrived at the airport, the hosts went out of their way to assist us, even arranging a Didi taxi to ensure we reached the homestay smoothly. Their kindness didn’t stop there, they helped us purchase tickets for cultural attractions, found an English-speaking guide when our Mandarin wasn’t sufficient, and took care of countless other details that made our stay effortless.
A highlight of our experience was Miss Zhang’s traditional Yunnan tea ceremonies. These sessions were not only a delight for the senses but also a wonderful opportunity to learn about the unique qualities of Yunnan teas and the art of brewing them. The atmosphere was relaxed and intimate, often joined by the owners, which led to lively, hours-long conversations filled with laughter and stories. It was these moments that made us feel like we were among friends rather than guests.
We enjoyed our stay so much that we’ve already booked the same room for our return in a week. We can’t wait to be back in this haven of warmth, culture, and comfort.

What we like most here:
1. Staff: Xiao Bai and Xiao Wan, the 2 receptionists are lovely guys. Xiao Bai pick us up outside of the buiding to help us with the luggage. He is also professional in handling his work. he seems a bit serious on his face but once you know him, he is a nice guy. Xiao Wan is a lovely young boy. We talked a lot, he made us yummy milk tea, bought for us ice crea, fruit tea....and gave us some sourvenir. They are the ones made my stay here. Thank you guys! Moreover the hotel staffs also helped to received a package for me before my check in.
2. Location: it locates on the 4th floor of a building. It has a good location, where we can access easily to the shopping mall, the food stores. There is a small food court on the ground floor of the same building. The 1st store after the stair case once you enter the building sells pretty good noodles.
3. The balcony: my room is 201, with a balcony overlooking the garden on the ground and an open space to the big building in front, which gave us a peaceful corner to sit and talk and enjoy the nice spring weather.
4. The costume: the hotel offers free Miao costume to wear and take photo inside the hotel. Xiao Wan, the receptionist also help to take soem nice photos for us.
What should be improved:
1. The cleanliness: the room facilities were a bit old but the cleanliness is definitely something can be changed and improved: like the table in the balcony, which should have been clean the surface.
2. The amenities: the big bath towels are torn out at the 2 edges. They can be reused as footmat or rag to recycle. New bath towel should be seriously considered.
3. The TV: A slow internet connection is causing the TV to stutter and lag, making it impossible to watch.making it not enjoyable to watch."

"Nice little hotel with a very friendly owner. Comfortable and clean and attractive. My only complaint (and this is very minor) is that the wet bathroom shower floor was not inclined toward the drain, so we had a big pool of water to manage every time we took a shower. Just take a towel and push that water to the drain when you're done. Recommend!"

"This stay was a perfect trip! I was amazed the moment I entered the B&B, and every photo I took was a blockbuster! The room was decorated very cozy, the bedding was soft and clean, and it was comfortable and healing to live in. The most heartwarming thing was the boss, who would help plan the tour route. We borrowed a lot of things from the boss, and the boss was very enthusiastic! Guest UserIt was my first time to come to Yunnan and I was lucky enough to book this B&B. The boss was very enthusiastic and came to pick us up at the door to help us pick up the gifts. He also introduced us to nearby attractions and special snacks. The room was really clean and tidy with fragrant flowers. It’s also very quiet at night, which is really wrong [strong][strong]

Guest UserThe room was large and clean, with air conditioning and electric blankets. There were also maps of various attractions in the room, clearly marking which spots were for watching the sunrise or sunset. There was a small viewing platform in the courtyard, and just a few dozen steps away was the Wafangliangzi viewing platform, where the sunset was beautiful. We had firewood chicken, and the auntie was very nice, providing just the right amount of side dishes. Overall, it was a good experience and I recommend it!

Very friendly boss, allowed us to early check in at 9am in the morning.
I had left my jacket and the owner politely informed me and set it aside for me to retrieve it when we were back to Kunming to catch our flight.
The views from the balcony was anazing.

Cleanliness: Very clean!
Environment: The surrounding pedestrian street has beautiful lights and architecture, and it's super close to the Seven-Arch Floating Bridge, making it convenient for watching seagulls!!
Service: We had a lot of luggage, and the staff helped us with our luggage both when we arrived and left, which was very thoughtful. Pet-friendly, my rabbit had a great time! I brought my own cage to avoid making the guesthouse dirty.

The hotel is next to the dam, and the ambient air is very good. It is very comfortable to walk on the dam in the morning. The hotel is very quiet, the car is parked right in front of the hotel, and there are many places to eat outside the door. The room was clean and tidy, the bed was very comfortable to sleep on, and it was very convenient to eat and play. Worth five ⭐️rave reviews! Worth recommending

Ka-LaLaLaIt is our own fault but we did not realise that this was so far out of the city and at the entrance gate of a cultural Stockade. The host was helpful but there was a bit of an odour from the bathroom.  if your purpose to stay here is to see the cultural stock then this would be a good location but there are no restaurants nearby.  There was a nice view from our window of the lake and some beautiful traditional architecture to walk around and see in the area.

The owner of the B&B is really very nice! The bus we got off from Kunming Station picked us up and took us to the airport for free. It was so happy and hassle-free. The trunk of the boss’s car is big enough for a bunch of our suitcases! The main reason is that the price is really cheap in the off-season, and there is also a barbecue stove, which is similar to the one in my hometown. It is very comfortable for a group of people to sit inside and chat! There are also speakers that can sing hahahahaha. By the way, the noodles cooked by the boss lady are really suitable for my Hunan stomach. They are so delicious, and the tomatoes are so delicious that I want to take them away.

Puteri KhalidaIf you just waiting for train or would like to stay for a short period of time and didnt care about the toilet, you can stay here. The toilet is outside, for us its creepy to go to toilet at night due to dim light and we had to go all of us. Overall since we waiting for our train early in the morning, it really helps us in short of time since we can just walked.
