The service here is absolutely amazing! The staff are so warm, thoughtful, and incredibly patient with their explanations. When we checked in, they even gave us a hand-drawn map and went through all the routes, potential pitfalls, and must-see spots. Their recommendations for food and activities were absolute gems – we followed their advice for mochi, mung bean cakes, and the Arts and Crafts Cooperative, and everything was spot-on, way better than anything we could have found doing our own research! They were always ready to help and proactively offered assistance, treating us like friends the whole time. It felt even warmer and more personalized than a five-star hotel.
Traveling with my mom was completely stress-free; this guesthouse provided an incredible sense of security and convenience.
If you're coming to Quanzhou, this is definitely the place to stay. I'll absolutely be back for a second visit, and I highly recommend it to all my friends!

The hotel is located on the second floor, which is just one level up. Some rooms are quite far inside. Initially, my room was assigned to a very secluded spot, right next to a residential building, so I couldn't open the window or curtains. Coincidentally, the residents across the way were renovating, making a lot of noise. Plus, the showerhead had very low water pressure. I reported this to Ctrip, and they were very reliable, immediately contacting the hotel to arrange a room change. The Atour staff were also excellent; they moved me to a room closer to the entrance and even upgraded it. I'll definitely choose Atour again for future trips.

The executive suite here is quite good, much more spacious than the hotels I've stayed at before, and the price is reasonable. It's right on the food street; for lunch, I just popped over to the Wengling Ginger Duck next door. Plus, it's pretty close to the Puppet Theater, Quanzhou Intangible Cultural Heritage Museum, and Guan Gong Temple. The walls on the ground floor and in the parking lot are also great for photos. It's a shame I was in a rush this time. I hope I get another chance to stay longer next time and properly experience the tea room and the hairpin making.

We stayed for two nights, and the location of Quanzhou Hotel is unbeatable! It's right in the heart of the ancient city. Not many hotels within the ancient city offer parking, but this one has ample parking spaces. There's also an electric scooter rental just a 1-minute walk away, which was fantastic. Every evening, we rode the scooters around the ancient city to find delicious food. The room felt especially cozy. We had the 'do not disturb' mode on, and the staff even called to ask if we wanted the room cleaned – such thoughtful service, the first time I've ever encountered that! I also received a birthday surprise from my boyfriend at Quanzhou Hotel, a truly unforgettable experience.

Visited Quanzhou during the May Day holiday and found Huacai Hotel on Ctrip. We got a free room upgrade, and there were complimentary fruits and local specialties on the coffee table. They even offered desserts in the evening! The hotel is close to tourist attractions, the breakfast spread is extensive, and the service is incredibly attentive. My daughter said she wants to stay here again next time we visit.

Donglu Tianqingshe GuesthouseQuanzhou became renowned worldwide starting from the Song Dynasty. Drawing inspiration from the charm of the Song Dynasty, Tianqingshe blends into the ancient city, which has been listed as a World Heritage Site for thousands of years, presenting the most beautiful aspects of Quanzhou to every friend who comes to visit, tours around, and loves Quanzhou. There are "Three Wonders" in the ancient city of Quanzhou. The first is about sightseeing, appreciating the unique features of the ancient city; the second is about the taste, embarking on a culinary journey on the tip of the tongue; the third is about the atmosphere, the "murmur of daily life" that still lingers in the streets and alleys above the ancient ruins. These "Three Wonders" embody the original intention of Tianqingshe to ensure that every friend can have a wonderful time in Quanzhou. Located within the ancient city, it is a great place to "sightsee" the ancient city. It takes only 5 minutes to walk to the Temple of Guan Yu and Yue Fei, 8 minutes to the Confucian Temple of Quanzhou Prefecture, 10 minutes to Chengtian Temple, 18 minutes to the Bell Tower on West Street, and 25 minutes to Kaiyuan Temple. Moreover, authentic Quanzhou delicacies such as rice noodle paste, beef dishes, pickled pork, peanut soup, etc., waft their enticing aromas from the alleys adjacent to Tianqingshe.Starting from Tianqingshe, you can witness that the residents living in this millennium-old ancient city are still leading their lives in their own way. It seems that the passage of a thousand years has paused here and never really left. This is the most typical "murmur of daily life" in Quanzhou.Every friend staying at Tianqingshe will be presented with a hand-drawn travel map by the local boss, which serves as a guide to avoid pitfalls in terms of dining, entertainment, shopping, and other aspects.

I brought my family to Quanzhou and spent days looking at hotels and guesthouses. We finally chose this guesthouse, located within the city but not in the busiest West Street area. After staying for two days, we loved it so much and found it so convenient that we extended our stay by another day. Both the elderly and younger family members really enjoyed it.
**Location:** It's less than a 5-minute walk to Guan Yue Temple and 10 minutes to Tianhou Temple. You can catch a 'Xiaobai' (small electric car) just a minute from the door, and for 2 yuan, it takes you to West Street while also offering a scenic tour of the city. Being on the edge of the city also makes it convenient for taking longer trips.
**Food:** The guesthouse offers a different and unique breakfast set every day. Within a 5-minute walk, you'll find local stir-fry restaurants and noodle shops that locals frequent. Just ask the owner for recommendations – everything they suggested was delicious.
**Accommodation:** The guesthouse has three floors, and the stairs aren't steep, so even seniors can manage them easily. It's incredibly quiet at night. The ground floor is beautifully decorated in an antique style, very comfortable, and has a tea room where you can drink tea or play cards. The guesthouse owner is extremely hospitable and always available to answer questions, making our stay very relaxed. The amenities are new, the disposable bath towels provided are of excellent, thick quality, and the tea is also very good. The actual place looks exactly like the photos on Ctrip.
**Note:** If you're driving, the parking lot is about a 3-minute walk away (a slight detour due to road construction), but it's still very convenient.
Highly recommend for travelers looking to explore Quanzhou at a leisurely pace and experience local life. It's suitable for families, couples, or those traveling with children.

Hotel location is good, in the city center, it is very convenient to go to many attractions. The boss is very enthusiastic and also provided us with a map of food near the hotel. The type not on the map will also help us find a store that is close to the hotel. The hotel is fully equipped, clean and cost-effective.

We loved our stay at Lan Inn. The staff members are professional and attentive. They helped us book local show and costume experiences that are included in the package. Our room is clean and well designed. The balcony is a very nice touch. The location of the hotel is excellent: while being inside the popular tourist area, the street is quiet and pretty at night. I would recommend this place to my friends and family if they ever travel to Quanzhou.

GGuest UserThis guesthouse truly lives up to its No. 1 ranking in Quanzhou! The location is superb, the ambiance is top-notch, and the service is incredibly warm and thoughtful. We followed their hand-drawn map and explored so many delicious food spots, and every single recommendation was a hit. They even went out of their way to set up a rooftop movie screening for us, which we really appreciated. It makes sense that breakfast isn't included, as there's simply too much amazing food nearby – you definitely need to save your breakfast appetite for Quanzhou's local snacks. We'll definitely be back, and we'll definitely be staying at Lush when we do!
GGuest UserI rarely say this on my reviews, but I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this Minsu. When I come back to Quanzhou for another family holiday, I will book this place again.
Firstly, the location: It is unbeatable. It is near enough to be in the midst of the action in Quanzhou (near the walking street, eateries, restaurants, shopping etc etc), yet very quiet for us to enjoy a good night’s rest, or a good conversation at night over tea.
Second, the nice balance between an authentic cultural home and modernism. We had the entire Minsu to ourselves, 6 rooms in total. Renovated about 3-4 years ago, the Minsu gave us the experience of living in an authentic Chinese inn, yet the amenities were modern….comfortable beds, modern toilets, refrigerators available etc….The courtyards were also beautiful. The entire Minsu was tastefully done…..plus it was spotlessly clean.
Thirdly, the owners. They were so friendly and helpful. They met us at the drop off point, and brought us to the Minsu when we checked in, helping to move some of our luggages (and they did the same thing when we checked out). They went out of their way to help purchase traditional puppet show (木偶) tickets (at a small discount somemore). After we checked out, my son left his hoodie in the room. The owners assisted to courier the jacket to the next city we were heading to (we were already in the train at that time). And lastly, every morning and every night, either Mr Du, his son or his daughter in law would invite us to join them for tea. They would then proceed to serve tea the traditional way, while having a conversation with us. They also taught us certain traditions, protocols and rules when serving tea. They have a cat called TangYuan (汤圆), in which the kids in the family enjoyed playing with.
The only thing to note is that public transport (via taxis and buses) only can drop you off at a spot about 5min walk away. Also, they provide disposable towels, not the regular towels given at hotels. If it is an issue, just bring your own towels.
Otherwise, this place deserves 5 out of 5 stars.
TTheGigiLoving the vibes of this hotel! Clean, comfortable, helpful ground staff, especially friendly customer support through WeChat - Xiao Yang, conveniently located, nice local breakfast provided in the hotel. It’s not located on the Main Street but it’s only a few min walk, which also means less noise at night and early in the morning. I’ll definitely be back again if I ever visit Quanzhou again! Thanks for hosting us!
FflubberGrand Honor Hotel is definitely the best hotel in Shishi, but it’s not quite the same level as a luxury hotel in a bigger city. Generally the hotel is clean, but it’s the little things that I noticed, ie when I checked in, there were some sweet wrappers next to the bowl of sweets that weren’t cleared away. That said, the sense of space is evident in the hotel lobby, lifts, corridors and most importantly, the hotel rooms.
Rooms are very spacious and well-designed, although the closet area can definitely do with brighter lights. Most amenities are provided but what put me off is that many items that would have been free in other hotels at this price-range aren’t free at Grand Honor. There is a Chinese tea set on the table and usually the loose leaf tea is provided for free but it cost ¥15 per packet. Honestly it’s not a lot of money for us, but on the flip side, surely the hotel can provide a bag of tea leaves for their guests. There are the standard free single-use packet tea in the drawer so at least there’s that.
In-room slippers are not to be taken out; they’d charge you if you do - and that’s fine, but the slippers are actually really uncomfortable to wear.
The small plate of fruits (banana, plum and mandarin) given at 5pm every day is a nice touch.
The hotel breakfast is probably the highlight. Set on the 22nd floor with panoramic views of the city, breakfast is very enjoyable. The food quality is pretty good, but a real surprise here is the sheer diversity of food. The bread selection alone has 5-6 choices (pastries, brioche, baguette, square toast, etc), the cooked food section is almost endless (and there’s cooked Chinese vegetables! 👏🏾) and then there’s the fruit selection at the end too. My only gripe is that the coffee machine is a bit slow, and there’s only one machine so there can be a wait for coffee.
Location of the hotel is a little odd; good restaurants and the main mall is about 15 mins’ walk away. There aren’t many good shops to wander around nearby.
Generally, this is a solid hotel for this price point. Excellent service with very fast food delivery (using the ubiquitous delivery robots) and friendly front desk staff.
Llaipeng123Half the joy of this short trip came from this hotel! Its location is perfect – tucked away from the hustle and bustle, yet convenient for sightseeing, allowing you to enjoy peaceful downtime. The hotel environment is super comfortable, with greenery tastefully sprinkled throughout the public areas, creating a wonderful ambiance. The room was cozy and spotless, with soft lighting design; it was so relaxing to curl up on the sofa and binge-watch shows at night. The front desk lady was incredibly thoughtful. For breakfast, there were freshly made noodles and authentic Chinese pastries that tasted amazing, and even the coffee was freshly ground. The hotel also offers small drinks, and enjoying the breeze and scenery in the evening was incredibly therapeutic. The service was consistently excellent, with every staff member wearing a smile, making you feel incredibly welcome. This hotel has definitely made it onto my 'must-revisit' list!
AAnonymous UserTime flies when you're having fun, and my trip to this thousand-year-old Quanzhou city has come to an end. What I'll remember most is choosing 2208 Inn, which boasts a fantastic location on the busiest street in Quanzhou's city center. The West Gate of the famous Kaiyuan Temple is just across the road from the inn.
From my room at the inn, I could open the window and gaze at the beautiful night silhouette of Quanxi Hall on West Street. I could also hear the bustling crowds of West Street from outside my window. Day or night, the ancient city's streets are lined with a dazzling array of local snacks and delicacies – think Mianxian paste, Ginger Duck, Fujianese crispy pork, with famous eateries right next door. If you want a taste, just head downstairs; they're just a few steps away. Xunpu flower-wearing shops are also everywhere. If you want to try wearing the flowers, just go downstairs, and you can instantly transform into a beautiful flower-wearing girl.
What brought me the most joy was the genuine conversations I had with the inn staff every time I returned. The front desk's handsome and dedicated customer service representative, the proprietress's beautiful smile, and the cleaning auntie's meticulousness and hard work all exemplify the inn's warm and thoughtful hospitality.
Thank you all for giving me such wonderful memories of the ancient city. It makes me recall: in this thousand-year-old city, in this little alley corner, I unexpectedly encountered your vibrant, almost divine, warmth and vitality. It makes me miss the moment the pigeons flew past the Twin Pagodas of Kaiyuan Temple in the morning, the fragrant misty aroma of Tieguanyin tea in an old teahouse in the afternoon, and the golden glow of the sunset over Jinjiang River.
Encounters are always brief! I've already made a promise with you – if I ever come to Quanzhou again, I will undoubtedly choose 2208 Inn without hesitation. As the year draws to a close and a new one begins, I wish the inn even greater prosperity and a booming year ahead!
GGuest UserA place full of love! The best hostel I have ever been to (across Asia America and Europe)
Located in the ancient district of Quanzhou so convenient to go most of the spots
Holds a big lobby where has film screening and all kinds of activities every night
Welcoming front desk and I reaaaaaaaly like her. Brought me into the community and share me everything interesting about Quanzhou
Most of the volunteers there used to be the guests (proof for how lovely the community is!) and all thanks to Xinyue, Qiuqiu, Cici, Weiwei, Hongmei, A-Jun, Ms Lin, Bro Cong, and Sis Nan, such an unforgettable memory with you guys in Quanzhou!
MMiaoyaParking was super convenient here! The hotel offers free parking via a QR code scan, and they even have charging stations, which is a huge plus for electric vehicle owners. We really appreciated that! The location is also great for getting around; we easily visited places like West Street.
GGuest UserDue to an early morning flight for a business trip, I specifically booked this hotel right next to the airport. It turned out to be a very wise choice; it's just a few minutes' walk from the hotel to the terminal, so I didn't have to worry about traffic causing me to miss my flight. Check-in and check-out were quick, saving me from long queues. The room had great lighting, a spacious desk, and plenty of power outlets, which was super convenient for getting some work done. The Wi-Fi was also very fast, with no lag at all during video conferences. Considering it's an airport hotel, the value for money is really high. This will definitely be my go-to choice for future layovers or early morning flights.
