This stay was a great experience. When I pulled back the curtains, I was greeted by beautiful trees outside, and there were so many places to explore nearby. As a food lover, I was thrilled that there were tons of great restaurants all around. I took a taxi from the airport, and it only took 20 minutes to get here. Plus, the mall right across the street has a subway station, which is super convenient. I had a good feeling about the hotel as soon as I arrived. The moment I got to the front desk, the lady there poured me a cup of tea. The weather had turned cold, and she noticed that I had just come in from outside, my hands freezing. That warm cup of tea made me feel incredibly warm inside.

The hotel is clean, conveniently located, and the service is warm and friendly. Every time I come to Shanghai, I stay here. There are even more dining options nearby, and I've recommended it to my friends. This is definitely the best choice when visiting Shanghai!
The hotel is located in the ancient town of Qibao, near Qibao Metro Station on Line 9, adjacent to Qibao Temple. The hotel is not far from Qibao Old Street, making it very convenient for exploring the area. However, parking requires using the P1 public parking lot on Qibao Street, which the hotel reimburses for free. It's a bit of a walk from the hotel, but if you have a lot of luggage, the hotel can send a car to pick you up. The hotel faces the street, so you often hear tourists chatting. The room was quite spacious, and the bedding was very comfortable. When I first arrived, there was no air conditioning, and it felt quite cold, only coming on at night.
Highly recommended! This guesthouse is right in Qibao Ancient Town, making it super convenient for exploring. It's also very close to Hongqiao Airport, about 5-6 kilometers away, a 15-minute taxi ride. There are subway stations and malls within a 15-20 minute walk.
The ancient town offers all sorts of authentic Shanghai breakfast, lunch, and dinner options – tangyuan, fried dough sticks, xiaolongbao, local cuisine, and teahouses, you name it! 😉
Key highlights: The guesthouse's interior is beautifully decorated and very clean. The common area with a tea table and bar is perfect for enjoying tea or a casual drink. The staff here are even better than five-star hotel service!
They help with luggage upon arrival and departure, clean the room daily, and even assist with laundry. My family left sunglasses in the room, and the staff helped mail them back. My elderly father enjoys morning tea, and the staff even prepared hot water at the tea table every morning for him. The family room has an adorable Egyptian god theme! We stayed for four nights and were extremely satisfied! The value for money is much better than hotels in the city center. This is definitely my top choice for a trip to Shanghai, and I'll be back.

First off, it's quite a distance from the subway station, so getting around always requires a taxi, which isn't very convenient. Also, there's no conditioner in the toiletries, which is a bit inconvenient for women. It's quite close to the Hongqiao air corridor, so I kept hearing rumbling noises in my dreams all night. 😂
The hotel is located in the center of Qibao Ancient Town in Minhang District, with a unique charm. It is only 1.2 kilometers from Exit 2 of Metro Line 9 Qibao Station, making it convenient for travel. Passengers arriving at Hongqiao Railway Station or the airport can take Bus No. 5 at Hongqiao Transportation Hub and arrive in about 10 minutes. The hotel has complete facilities, including a large parking lot, electronic room cards, self-service luggage storage and laundry and dry cleaning services, a 55-inch TV that can be projected, and a robot delivery service. The breakfast features unique dishes such as scallion pancakes and Fu Lao Mian. The surrounding environment is beautiful and can be reached on foot, including Qibao Lingxian Plaza and Qibao Ancient Town.

The room was very clean and spacious. The facilities in the room were comprehensive and new. Even the toilet was fully automatic. The front desk staff were very enthusiastic. It was an excellent experience overall.

I stayed here for a car show. The room was clean and spacious, and the service was excellent. Dining was also incredibly convenient. My only minor issue was that it was difficult to find the hotel elevator from the underground parking garage. I hope they can add more signs to guide guests.

The hotel's location is great and very convenient, close to Hongqiao Airport, specifically on Qixin Road, near Qibao. You can see planes taking off and landing, but the soundproofing is excellent. The hotel facilities are a little dated. The gym and swimming pool are outsourced, so it's a bit of a walk to get there, but the pool water temperature was nice and warm. The front desk service was very good; Spawn Li, the duty manager, and Luna, who was there when I checked out, were both very enthusiastic and helpful. It's a very international hotel with many foreign guests.
Double Happiness Hour: Very good, the buffet dinner in the restaurant's member exclusive area was a pleasant surprise.

CCiky2023Our romantic winter getaway began the moment we stepped into Dino Starry Resort, immediately feeling a warm welcome. Unlike a typical hotel's impersonal atmosphere, the staff here felt like old friends, making us feel right at home and completely relaxed.
Getting to Disneyland was a breeze with their Mercedes shuttle, which departed at our pre-arranged time. Breakfast was plentiful, and our room was spotless and tidy. The overall environment was lovely, and there were even small animals in the backyard that we could feed for free.
The biggest surprise, though, was experiencing authentic winter fun. We gathered around a traditional earthen pot stove, warming ourselves and chatting, or enjoyed a steaming hotpot cooked in a vintage hanging pot. On sunny days, we even had a lively outdoor BBQ with plenty of smoke and laughter. From the rustic charm of the earthen pot to the nostalgic feel of the hanging pot and the vibrant energy of the BBQ, this place had it all.
Dino Starry is more than just a place to stay; it's a wonderful space where you can unwind, leave your weariness behind, and relive cherished moments. Come and gather with your loved ones here, and collect a whole winter's worth of warmth amidst delicious food and laughter!
GGuest UserThis Bund hotel stay was absolutely amazing! It's just a 5-minute walk to the riverside, and my room had floor-to-ceiling windows with a perfect view of the Lujiazui 'Three-Piece Suit' – I could watch the Oriental Pearl Tower light up at night right from my bed. The smart toilet and automatic curtains were super convenient, and soaking in the bathtub while enjoying the river view was just heavenly! The freshly baked croissants at breakfast were so good they were practically addictive. The rooftop bar had incredible night views, and the cocktails created a fantastic ambiance. The front desk even proactively upgraded my room and sent welcome fruits, and the robot delivering food was adorable. The soundproofing was excellent; I slept like a baby until I woke up naturally. Plus, free laundry and drying service was such a thoughtful touch! The location is unbeatable – Yu Garden and Nanjing Road are within walking distance, and the subway station is right outside. For around 400+ RMB per person, it felt like a thousand-yuan experience. As a detail-oriented person, I was completely won over. I'm definitely booking this place again on my next trip to Shanghai!
MMenglitanle. The facilities are great, and the room is spacious. Every time I come to Shanghai, I stay at this hotel. The front desk service is excellent, and the cleaning staff do a thorough and meticulous job. I highly recommend this place; they even have free popcorn at the front desk and complimentary whiskey. My girlfriend and I always stay here. The movies are also great, and there's a free membership that allows screen casting. Rooms with windows offer a view of the plane trees.
IimnotminFrom the moment you step into the Waldorf Astoria Shanghai on the Bund, the elegant charm of Old Shanghai beautifully intertwines with the Bund's vibrant bustle. From your room, you can take in the Lujiazui skyline, with the Huangpu River's day and night flow just outside your window. The personalized concierge service from Aaron Echole was incredibly meticulous, and the entire staff, from concierge to the front desk, exuded the calm sophistication of a long-standing luxury hotel. Enjoying a 'Shanghai Club' cocktail at the Long Bar in the evening felt like stepping back in time to the social scene of a century ago. An absolutely impeccable stay.
GGuest UserThe Peninsula Shanghai, nestled by the Waibaidu Bridge, the Monument to the People's Heroes, and the Bund, might not be described as 'convenient' in the traditional sense, but I found its location perfect for soaking in the unique Shanghainese vibe! The service here is wonderfully old-school and distinctively 'Shanghai' – unhurried yet efficient, demonstrating a clear and deep understanding of guest needs. The rooms are classic Peninsula style, with well-defined functional areas, superb soundproofing, and impeccable cleanliness and maintenance, putting my mind completely at ease. The dining experience was a genuine delight; both breakfast and the Cantonese restaurant in the evening were so memorable. I particularly loved the evening bath ritual – pressing the SPA button and immersing myself in the tranquil, ethereal music, it felt like I was back in a cozy island retreat! My two-day Peninsula experience was a solid 12 out of 10. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Shanghai who wants to truly experience its unique charm!
AAnonymous UserThe hotel has a minimalist Japanese style, with a clean and atmospheric environment. The staff are very friendly, warm, and thoughtful. They offer a complimentary shuttle service to and from the airport on the hour, which is super convenient for catching flights – a big plus!
However, staying for four consecutive days, the breakfast selection was incredibly monotonous and never changed. It got really boring after a while. The late-night snack options were also very limited, with only noodles and congee available – far too few choices.
Furthermore, during my stay, I noticed that the indoor air felt stuffy and poorly ventilated, always with a stale odor. My room was close to the road, so opening the window meant car noise, but closing it made the room stuffy and smelly, which significantly reduced my comfort.
On a positive note, they thoughtfully gave me a small souvenir when I checked out, which was a lovely touch. Overall, the service and airport shuttle were good, but the stay would be much better if they could improve the breakfast variety, add more late-night snack options, enhance room ventilation and soundproofing, and eliminate the stale indoor smell.
EElianaCThis review is long overdue! I was in Shanghai for a business trip in early March, and it happened to be raining heavily then. The underfloor heating gave me the warmest, most comfortable night's sleep, and the duvet cover felt incredibly soft. It was my first time staying in a Shikumen building, and the courtyard was so unique and stylish. Both the courtyard and the room's interior design were absolutely beautiful. The unit I stayed in was located on West Yan'an Road, very close to Xintiandi and the Shanghai Conservatory of Music. It was perfect – I could just stroll back after dinner in Bei Li. Check-in was also a breeze. I saw that the host manages several other unique B&Bs, so I'd love to try them out sometime!
JjaspenI've wanted to stay at the W Shanghai - The Bund for a long time, and finally got to during my recent trip to Shanghai. It wasn't as perfect as I'd imagined.
First, the good points: The environment is nice, and the cleanliness is decent. The staff are very friendly, and the breakfast offers a wide variety. The outdoor bar was the best experience.
Now, for the less satisfying aspects:
1. Previously, when staying at hotels, you could contact scalpers or certain individuals on platforms to use their membership tiers for room upgrades. Since I booked in advance, I contacted them early about a possible upgrade. I was told that if there was an available room type on the day, I could be upgraded. However, on the day of check-in, they claimed there were no rooms available and didn't upgrade me. At the time, I checked the Ctrip app and saw that rooms *were* available. I'm a platinum member with upgrade benefits, and I still didn't get one.
2. My Ctrip booking included two complimentary drinks, but the front desk didn't provide vouchers during check-in. I only found out at the bar that I needed to go back to the front desk to get them.
3. I had a lot of things and wanted to use the black bag in the closet. Unfortunately, it was broken, and the hotel hadn't replaced it in time.
GGuest UserOur stay was absolutely wonderful! The room was spotless, and the bedding was so soft and comfortable, we slept soundly. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The facilities were comprehensive and had everything we needed. Plus, the location was incredibly convenient – we could easily get to wherever we wanted to go, and it was still quiet, not noisy at all. Overall, we were extremely satisfied and highly recommend staying here!
GGuest UserI stayed here temporarily for a visa appointment. Although the room is small, it's reflected in the price, and it was perfectly fine for one person. The location is downtown, close to everything. The bed was very comfortable, and the room was clean and tidy. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. I'm very satisfied! ✅
