Even I, who don't usually drink tea, fell in love with it.

I had a really lovely stay at Mulan Yu in Lijiang. The host was incredibly kind and helpful. They helped carry my bag to the stay and also gave me recommendations on places to visit. As a solo traveler, that warmth honestly made me feel a lot less lonely. The location is excellent as well. It’s very close to the tourist areas and everything is walkable, while still feeling peaceful and cozy. Lijiang itself is beautiful, especially at night. The room was super clean and comfortable, and I was unexpectedly excited that they even had an automatic toilet 😆 My Lijiang trip feel much more welcoming and memorable. 谢谢您沐兰遇汤宿，谢谢您海飞。。

We had a really wonderful stay at this hotel in Lijiang. The location was perfect, right in the heart of the old town and very convenient. Since cars are not allowed to drive into Lijiang Old Town, the hotel arranged a complimentary transfer for us, which was very helpful. As soon as we arrived, the staff immediately came out to meet us at the street and helped carry our luggage to the hotel. We had to walk a short distance through the old town, but it wasn’t far at all. From the moment we arrived, we felt very welcomed. The staff and hotel manager were incredibly kind, attentive, and always ready to help. The view was absolutely incredible — truly breathtaking! The beautiful rooftop terrace was definitely one of the highlights of our stay, and it was an amazing photo spot — wow! We also really appreciated the complimentary coffee and tea that were always available throughout our stay. Everything was very clean and well maintained, and we felt comfortable the entire time. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it!

After two incredible days exploring Lijiang’s ancient cobblestone alleys and vibrant night markets, I have decided to extend my stay by one additional day. The charm of the Old Town, with its winding canals and timeless Naxi culture, has truly captured my heart. While the past two days allowed me to visit the iconic Black Dragon Pool and stroll along Sifang Street, I realize that one more day is needed to fully appreciate the surrounding beauty. Specifically, I take a day trip to the serene Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, whose peaks have been teasing me from a distance. A final evening wandering the quieter, lantern-lit lanes would also allow for a deeper connection to this UNESCO World Heritage site.

The hotel is in a fantastic location, right in the heart of the Old Town, super close to Sifang Street and the Bar Street. It's really convenient for getting around and exploring, plus you get amazing panoramic views of Lijiang Old Town. We had two rooms that even came with a private terrace – perfect for enjoying tea and chatting, so relaxing!

I highly recommend this guesthouse; my two-day stay was excellent. A special shout-out to Butler Yu for his warm hospitality! We arrived after 10 PM, and Butler Yu waited for us and came out beforehand to help with our luggage. When we left, he waited until 8 AM to help us carry our very heavy bags out. When I was struggling with altitude sickness and ran out of oxygen, Butler Yu found me a spare tank to use. He also constantly messaged us on WeChat to check in, which I was incredibly grateful for. I hope the owners take good care of Butler Yu. He's very talkative and you can ask him anything. The guesthouse itself is in a very convenient location, just a few minutes' walk from the old town and the food street. Getting a taxi to the South Gate of Shuhe Ancient Town is also very quick. The view from the window is exceptionally beautiful; our room had a view of other rooftops and a skylight, and the sunrise shining in was lovely. I saw comments below about poor soundproofing, and we did hear a neighbor playing music, but it was only for a short while in the afternoon, not too loud, and didn't last long, so it didn't affect our rest at all. Thank you, Master Yu, for making our Yunnan trip feel so warm!

During my 7-day trip to Kunming, Dali, and Lijiang, this was my favorite hotel. The staff provided amazing service, welcoming us at the entrance and carrying our luggage to the 3rd and 4th floors—making the lack of an elevator no issue at all. As soon as we opened the room, the electric curtains opened to a stunning snow mountain view (thanks to the hotel for the room upgrade!). The bed was comfortable, the room was smoke-free, and breakfast was delicious. At checkout, staff carried our bags down and loaded them into our taxi. The location is excellent. just a short walk from the alley to the main road, close to attractions, and surrounded by restaurants.

A Warm Encounter in Lijiang Old Town, Highly Recommended! My trip to Lijiang Old Town was made exceptionally perfect by staying at this guesthouse. Its location is superb, right inside the Old Town, making it incredibly convenient for getting around. You get to experience the charm of the ancient city while also enjoying a rare sense of peace and quiet. I stayed here for three full days, and what impressed me most was the guesthouse manager. From the moment I walked in, I felt his professionalism and enthusiasm. Not only were the rooms made cozy and comfortable, but every little detail showed his attentiveness. What surprised me even more was how knowledgeable the manager was about the local culture and itineraries. He tailored recommendations based on my preferences, helping me avoid tourist traps and suggesting several authentic, picturesque, off-the-beaten-path spots. Thanks to his advice, my three-day itinerary was rich and profound, completely free from the exhaustion of rushing between sights. That kind of warm, friendly service, like from an old friend, is something large hotels simply can't match. If you're coming to Lijiang and looking for a soulful and welcoming place to stay, you absolutely can't go wrong here. Next time I visit Lijiang, I'll definitely be back!

I had an amazing stay here which was my favourite after travelling to China for a month. Well located in a quieter and more peaceful section of the ancient town. The design of the hotel itself was stunning! Despite the traditional design, the hotel contained completely modern amenities like smart toilets, bed heaters, AC and fast wifi. The highlight though is the exceptional service from the attentive staff and the lovely hotel owner. They are helpful with recommendations, provide pickup service so you don’t have to carry your luggage through the ancient town and overall provides a very homely and comforting atmosphere. I was even invited to dinner and shared fruits, tea and snacks with me! If that isn’t enough to convince you, they also have four super cute cats! Would definitely recommend staying here if you’re coming to Lijiang.

Overall, my stay was fantastic! The lobby has a refined and elegant atmosphere. My room had great natural light, and the cleanliness was impeccable; every corner was spotless. The mattress and pillows were very comfortable, and the soundproofing was excellent, making it incredibly quiet at night. The front desk staff were attentive and polite, responding quickly to any requests. There was plenty of hot water, and all the facilities were well-maintained. It was a comfortable and worry-free stay, and a truly pleasant experience!
