On the first night, I found a green cleaning cloth in my bed, under my quilt. I don’t know whether it belonged to the housekeeping staff or the previous guest — either way, it was truly disgusting. The next morning, I meet a housekeeping staff member in the hallway and askedher to change my bedding. But when I came back in the evening, I saw it hadn’t been changed, because there was still my hair on the sheets. All staffs at the reception were all very nice.

If you need to be in West London with access to transport, this is a really good location; it's also easy to get to Heathrow early in the morning as we had to. We found the staff helpful, well-trained, and competent. Maybe the hotel hardware is a bit worn out, but it seems like they are overhauling things - the shower was new. For exploring West London or getting to Heathrow, we'd return without doubt.

Pros: - Decently sized, standard layout and comfortable rooms. - Rooms are quite clean, service in general was nothing too special but gets the job done! - Convenient location near buses and metro to Central London / Oxford for a day trip, close to Westfield London which has great number of F&B outlets, supermarkets and shops. Cons: - Housekeeping was inconsistent; stayed for 6 days, everyday was missing something different, not being replenished in the room; could be tea, coffee, hand towels, tissue paper, toilet paper etc… had to keep calling for service every night throughout the stay. If housekeeping had set up the room in standard, hassle could be alleviated from all parties as it takes the housekeeping more than 20 minutes every time to bring the items. - Both toilet paper rolls were removed unexpectedly one night, even when we certainly left the room with them both in the morning which I find a bit funny as there wasn’t even a need to replenish - but simply removed. - Clock timing was incorrect 6 days throughout the stay and nobody clocked that nor changed it. - Slight wear and tear in the room but nothing too major affecting our stay apart from the bathtub glass panel seam being broken and water kept coming out of the shower. - Emergency alarms went off at 730AM with no explanation. - There was daily construction noise and one day the workers and equipments were all outside our room for a good 4 hours in the morning to afternoon time. Again, I don’t blame it because maintenance is important but a notice would be nice. Overall, I think the hotel gets its job done, the room and location were decent and comfortable. It’s the housekeeping and maintenance fell below expectations.

My first stay at this hotel was in August 2925, and it was a very good experience. Based on that, I booked again this year. Upon arrival, they were very meticulous about taking photos of everything (room number, etc.), even though I had already gone through this process when I dropped off my luggage. My room was in a different entrance (they have multiple locations). It was a double room, and the sleeping area had been partially renovated. The bathroom had a bathtub (a bonus), but it was incredibly dirty. There was a thick layer of mold on the grout, the sink was clogged, and the floor tiles were broken (dangerous). The refrigerator was dirty inside. I reported this and was told that 'E' hadn't renovated yet. Renovation or not, when you offer a room at a certain price, you should deliver it clean. I had requested a non-smoking room, and it was evident that someone had recently smoked there. It's a real shame that both stays differed so much. Where you check in isn't necessarily where you'll stay, leading to too many location changes. It would be easier if a direct line were available for quicker communication. Otherwise, it's a good hotel, but the service this year was very poor. I reported this.

1. The location is quite convenient for travel, including going to the supermarket to buy things. 2. It is like an independent one-bedroom homestay. After living there for nine days, they took out the garbage and changed the towels, but there was no other service. The water pressure was not high at night, and it was almost impossible to take a shower after 22:00. The toilet could not flush and the water temperature was low. 3. They have a spiral staircase and no induction lights. Be careful not to step on empty space when going downstairs. I sprained my foot and stayed in the hotel for two days without going out. I sent an email to the hotel but there was no reply.

I had a wonderful experience staying at Starnest Shepherd’s Bush. From the moment I arrived, everything exceeded my expectations. The check-in process was seamless, and the communication from the team was fast, friendly, and professional throughout my stay. The apartment itself was spotlessly clean, stylish, and thoughtfully furnished, making it feel like a true home away from home. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything I needed, and the high-speed WiFi was perfect for both work and entertainment. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and I appreciated the small touches—like quality linens, blackout curtains, and complimentary toiletries—that really enhanced my comfort. One of the highlights was the location. Just a short walk to Shepherd’s Bush Station, Westfield shopping centre, and plenty of restaurants, cafes, and local shops, it was perfectly situated for both exploring London and handling day-to-day errands. Despite being in a vibrant neighborhood, the apartment was quiet and peaceful, ideal for rest after a long day. The building itself was modern and secure, with excellent amenities including laundry facilities and a reliable lift—especially helpful when carrying luggage. Overall, I couldn’t have asked for a better stay. Whether you're in London for business or leisure, I highly recommend Starnest Shepherd’s Bush for its exceptional service, comfort, and unbeatable location. I’ll definitely be returning!

GGuest User 2025.08.23
We arrived in London after a long 3-hour journey. Check-in wasn’t until 4pm, which was fine, so we spent the day exploring before returning around 4:40pm. First impressions were good: the hotel was easy to find, the reception looked classy, the air con in the lobby was refreshing, and the receptionist was welcoming. Unfortunately, our lower ground room was very disappointing. As soon as we opened the door, we were hit with a strong damp smell, and the room was unbearably hot. The space was snug but adequate with four beds, however the cleanliness was poor — mould and bubbling paint on the ceiling, hair around the sink, and dirty tiles in the bathroom. That night the heat became unbearable. The air conditioning was broken, confirmed by staff, but despite being told they would update us, no solution came. We barely slept, taking turns cooling down in the hallway. The next evening we were finally moved to a top-floor room, which was a huge improvement: clean, spacious, comfortable beds, and working air con. It was very clear that the upper floors are maintained to a much higher standard than the lower ground rooms. On check-out, management apologised, explained the lower ground was undergoing deep cleaning (which explained the smell), and kindly offered us a free continental breakfast. While appreciated, it’s concerning that these rooms are still being booked despite the known issues. They really should not be in use until the problems are fully resolved. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout, but the first night truly impacted our stay and made our trip more difficult than it needed to be. Although £230 for two weeknights is reasonable for London, the conditions of that first room were unacceptable.

CchristiatheoMy stay at Novotel London Canary Wharf was overall very solid, with a few standout moments that made it memorable. The first thing that struck me was the hotel’s modern feel. Everything from the reception area to the corridors had a clean, stylish look. Check-in was quick, and the staff were polite and professional, though not overly personal. It felt efficient rather than warm—but still perfectly pleasant. The room itself was comfortable and well thought out. The bed was great for a good night’s sleep, and the blackout curtains worked really well—ideal if you want to fully rest after a busy day. The room wasn’t huge, but it made smart use of space, and everything felt practical. The view was definitely a highlight, especially if you’re on a higher floor—you get a great look at the surrounding Canary Wharf skyline. Facilities were another plus. The gym was well-equipped for a hotel, and the swimming pool was a nice bonus, especially for unwinding in the evening. However, it can get a bit busy at peak times, which slightly takes away from the relaxing vibe. The rooftop bar is probably the hotel’s best feature. The views are genuinely impressive, and it has a more premium feel compared to the rest of the hotel. Prices are a bit on the higher side, but that’s expected given the location and setting. Location-wise, it’s ideal if you’re staying in Canary Wharf for work or prefer a quieter part of London. It’s not as lively as central areas like Soho or Shoreditch, but transport links are excellent, so getting around isn’t an issue. On the downside, the lifts were occasionally slow, especially during busy hours, and the breakfast area could feel crowded. The breakfast itself was decent, though not particularly memorable. Overall, Novotel London Canary Wharf offers a reliable, comfortable stay with great views and solid amenities. It may not feel ultra-luxurious, but it delivers good value and a pleasant experience in one of London’s most modern districts.

AAnonymous UserWe stayed at the Wilde Aparthotel Aldgate Tower Bridge for two nights at the end of August and had a rather underwhelming experience. We expected more from this hotel, judging by its ratings online. As Coldplay was in town (our reason for visiting London), prices were higher than average. The hotel is a five-minute walk from Aldgate East and about eight minutes from Aldgate Station. Liverpool Street Station is technically in walkable distance aswell, though taking the bus there is easier, with a stop right in front of the hotel. I wouldn’t recommend walking to Whitechapel for the Elizabeth Line – the walk felt long, annoying, and unsafe. Also, avoid walking further down the road toward McDonald’s after dark – sketchy atmosphere, and we saw two police scenes within those five mins of walking. Walking to Aldgate or Liverpool Street is safer. The arrival was.. odd. No one greeted us, and we waited in the lobby for several minutes before someone finally helped us at a not-so-clean high table. The staff member seemed demotivated and spoke very quietly, though check-in was quick. Unfortunately, we were charged twice despite prepaying nearly a year earlier through a third party. This was resolved after I spoke with the manager, but I was surprised it was marked as a “user error” on our invoice, and no small gesture like waiving the early check-in fee was offered for the inconvenience. We were given a room on the 9th floor. The corridors are dim, with black walls and stuffy air despite it being just 22 degrees outside. The “triple room” is simply too small for three adults. The storage areas under the twin beds is smart, and there is a small wardrobe with two drawers, but oddly no safe to store your valuables. A table and chair cramped the room unnecessarily and looked cheap compared to the rest. The sofa bed was decent but had a pretty thin mattress and annoying metal railings that can be a little annoying when standing up / lying down; there was also no nightstand, only a photo shelf right above it where you really can’t put anything. The kitchen area becomes very narrow once the sofa bed is pulled out. The fridge and sink were great, but the bins were tiny and filled up after just one day. The bathroom was also cramped, with practically no counter space. No toothbrush cups, Q-tips, or cotton pads were provided – unusual for a 4-star property. The soap dispenser was nearly empty and even fell out of its holder, and none of the dispensers were secured/locked, which isn’t hygienic (most hotels have that nowadays, for a reason!). We didn’t know where to go with dirty towels as there was no designated spot for them and no space. The heated towel holder being *right* next to the toilet is weird and inconvenient. We had the AC running for hours & hours on end, yet it barely managed to cool down the room to an acceptable temp. At least it was quiet enough to keep on at night. The TV had few channels but casting worked very well. Light controls were fine, and the blackout blinds were excellent– also essential, since the windows aren’t tinted from the outside. On the positive side, the room was clean, beds were comfortable, and it was quiet at night despite the hotel being full. We skipped breakfast as there are better options near Liverpool Street Station that we wanted to try out. All in all, our first ever stay at a Wilde property was just okay. The location is central but not particularly the nicest, the staff lacked warmth, and the triple room was way too small for three adults. It should not be sold as a triple for three adults and would be better suited for parents with a small child. I imagine the higher room categories might do a better job of accommodating three adults. We had what we needed; a clean room with good public transport connections. However, we wouldn’t stay here again as there’s better options out there.

GGuest UserVery nice staff, very helpful. Breakfast buffet available, and when I needed to leave very early in the morning they provided me some cold food(croissants, muffins, oranges and hot coffee/chocolate). They also provide tooth brush/paste, shaving set, comb when asked at the reception. A couple of minor things: corridors are a bit hard to navigate for me, was not obvious which door leads to elevators, needed to read the signs after getting lost 😅. I am not sure but breakfast seems to be the same every day? On the second day of my stay eggs were not there, but the rest was the same, I guess. I loved the option that you can grab a cup of coffee/chocolate/tea with you to go after you finished your breakfast. Not sure about every room, but mine didn't have a refrigerator, but I remember in my other IHG hotel stay there was one. Also hearing is possible only via air conditioner, and the maximum temperature is regulated, as I understood. Otherwise very neet hotel, clean, friendly.

GGuest UserAmazing location, amazing service. It was my birthday and the room was decorated beautifully with complimentary drink and chocolate. Could not have asked for more. The only negative was the room was extremely hot which made is very uncomfortable to sleep. On the second night spoke to front desk and they advised to turn all air con/heating off and brought us a fan up so the second night slept like a baby in very comfortable beds. The pool area was beautiful but u fortunately we ran out of time but when we have another stay at the beautiful hotel we will certainly visit it.

GGuest UserThe staff's service attitude was excellent, but the facilities left much to be desired. The bathroom fixtures were quite old, and the shower, in particular, wasn't designed for Asian heights, making it difficult to control the water flow. Washing was a real struggle, and there were several clogs, impacting cleanliness. Overall, it was a very inconvenient experience. Additionally, the hotel room faced the street, so the constant noise of passing cars was unavoidable. If you're a light sleeper, it would be extremely hard to fall asleep!!

The location is quite good, close to Euston Station and King's Cross Station, and within walking distance of the British Museum. If you turn left when you leave the hotel, there are a few Chinese restaurants diagonally across the street, one block away. There are also convenience stores nearby. P.S. AAlison’s Silk Road TravelsI stayed in room 302 in March 2026 for 1 night. I chose this hotel because I stayed there before and I was very impressed. This time I was given the same room again, I liked the room. It has a large comfy bed and a nice clean bathroom. The breakfast was really good as I like vegetables and they do great omelettes and fresh vegetables. The reception staff are very kind and helpful during my visit and remembered me from the last time I stayed. The hotel is in very easy access to the underground. On this visit the Elizabeth line was closed and I had to get a bus to agents Hill. This was very easy. There are plenty of places to eat around the hotel including an all you can eat from £11.99. I always have a good Stay at this hotel. There is a kettle with plenty of T and coffee. Some people staying on my floor were very noisy but that was all I can criticise really as it wasn’t the hotels fault. Very kind staff. There is a decent TV in the room and plenty of towels. During this trip and overnight stay I visited the Ramses exhibition at Battersea and images are included in this feedback. A good hotel to stay in that’s great value just outside central London about 20 mins on train.

2201675****The room was tiny, barely enough space to turn around, and once we opened our suitcases, they completely blocked the door. As for the shower, it was barely usable, just enough to get by. The upside is the incredibly convenient location. It's right next to Paddington Station and the tube, making it super easy to get anywhere. Hyde Park is just a few hundred meters away – perfect for a stroll through the park, enjoying the scenery, and feeding the pigeons. Buckingham Palace is only about a kilometer further. During the Christmas season, Regent Street is just four bus stops and a hundred-meter walk away. It was quite expensive, but that's London for you. It really depends on what you prioritize. If you just need a place to sleep that's well-located for exploring, it's a decent option.
