It was our 3rd time staying here. Receptionists all of them were helpful. The hotel is good value for money and the bus stop and in front of hotel. Next door is local hawker and a walking distance to Shaw plaza if you need anything else, the laundromat just right near bus stop. 24 hours reception, Aaron was helped us with loading the luggage in the taxi. The house keeping was nice to us, we impressed the Myanmar housekeeping, she was very polite and cleaned our room even though I told her just empty the bin and change the towel. We will be back next time. Thank you Family travel with young children.

Overall, the stay at Value Hotel was pleasant and comfortable. The room was clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful, which made the experience generally nice. However, one downside is the lack of a proper lobby or designated area for taxi pick-up and drop-off. It can be a bit inconvenient when booking rides, especially during busy hours, as drivers may have difficulty locating the exact spot.

This hotel is, hands down, one of the best value-for-money stays I've ever had! The price during Chinese New Year was incredibly reasonable. The room had a window, so it was bright and clean, and the bathroom smelled fresh and reassuring. Eugene, one of the front desk staff, was exceptionally friendly and responsible. He even helped my friend switch to a room with a window. Every day he'd greet us, making us feel right at home. Plus, they offer free luggage storage. The hotel's surroundings are also very quiet, and there's a bus stop right downstairs, which is super convenient (many buses in Singapore are double-deckers, offering a great way to sightsee!).

This was my first trip to Singapore, and actually my first time in Southeast Asia, traveling independently. After comparing several hotels online, I chose Homix Hotel. You can think of Singapore's hotel prices as comparable to Beijing's. This hotel has an excellent location in Balestier, not in a red-light district or an Indian-dominated area. Although it's about a kilometer from the nearest MRT station, it's very close to several bus stops. We primarily used buses for our entire trip, which was super convenient. Near the hotel, there's Ya Kun Kaya Toast, a popular Singaporean breakfast spot, and an affordable supermarket – a welcome change from the overpriced mineral water at 7-Eleven! There are also Bak Kut Teh and Hainanese Chicken Rice stalls nearby that seem to be frequented by locals, so the food there should be good, based on my observations. The hotel is newly opened and currently in a soft-opening phase. Wi-Fi is only available in the lobby on the first floor, not in the rooms. The rooms have bunk beds and plenty of storage space, plus they have proper windows, which is a great design – we could open them for ventilation when we went out. There was no formaldehyde smell in the room either. Currently, toiletries are self-service, but this might change once they officially open. If you arrive early or need to store your luggage on your last day, you can do so in the lobby. The front desk staff can speak Chinese, so no worries there. Even if you encounter staff who don't speak good Chinese, you can still check in with 'plastic English' (broken English), so don't be concerned. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel. If I come to Singapore again, I would definitely stay here.

We recently stayed at Kam Leng Hotel for 2 days, and overall it was a decent experience for the price. From Changi Airport to the hotel, it took almost an hour via MRT, which was manageable. Upon arrival, the hotel staff at the lobby were very approachable, friendly, and professional. Check in was smooth as we simply presented our booking confirmation. However, we were a bit disappointed with the room. The listing on Trip.com showed a room with windows, but the room we received did not have one. The only window was in the bathroom, and the view was just an emergency exit ladder. On the positive side, the room itself was clean and smelled fresh. The bed was comfortable and well-maintained. Amenities included a kettle, coffee mugs, and complimentary bottled water for two. The Android TV was a nice bonus for entertainment, and the lighting was adequate, with a dim option suitable for sleeping. Housekeeping did a good job cleaning the room whenever we were out. One issue we encountered was a power outage that lasted around 15 minutes when we returned to the room, which was quite inconvenient. Thankfully, it was resolved shortly. The bathroom was clean and well kept, with a reliable hot water supply. Despite a few drawbacks, for its affordable price, I would still recommend this hotel. It is also conveniently located just a short walk from nearby parks and leisure attractions in Singapore.

We were going to store our luggage before checking in, but luckily the front desk staff Mr. Faddilli assisted us for an early check in. We were very happy for the early check in. The hotel location is superb and the lobby is very spacious. But there were not much amenities provided for a 4 star hotel. Overall we are satisfied.

Super clean room, relatively new, with nice hospitality. We stayed 2 nights in a standard queen room with 2 adults and a 2-year-old child. The room has limited space for movement, but it was sufficient for resting at night after spending the day exploring the city. Under-bed storage is very useful for keeping belongings and freeing up space. There is limited space for prayer, but it was still manageable. We brought a stroller and were able to place it behind the door. You just need to organize your belongings well. The hotel provides two bottles of water, standard amenities (shower gel, shampoo, toothbrush, toothpaste), a bidet, TV, and Wi-Fi. Good location—only a short walk to Lavender MRT station and a bus stop. The area feels safe, with many restaurants and cafés along the way, even at night. A FairPrice supermarket is also available nearby for daily necessities. Halal food options near the hotel are limited; I only found two Indian restaurants, though this may be due to limited exploration. Soundproofing is not perfect, and some noise from surrounding rooms or the corridor can still be heard. I would like to apologize if any noise was caused during our stay, as we were traveling with a young child.

We stayed at this hotel for four nights and unfortunately experienced a persistent issue with the television in our room. From the first evening until checkout, the TV displayed nothing but static. There were no available channels at any point during our stay. On the first night, I called the front desk to report the problem. I was told that the entire hotel was experiencing signal reception issues. No alternative solution was offered, no apology was given, and the staff member ended the call in a manner I found discourteous. The following day, I raised the issue again with a different staff member at reception. I was assured that an engineer would be arranged to inspect the problem. However, the issue was never resolved, and it appears that no one actually attended the room. Spending four nights without any in-room entertainment facilities was disappointing and did not meet reasonable expectations for a hotel stay. However, I would like to commend the housekeeping staff. She was consistently polite, professional, and thorough in their cleaning. Her service was the only aspect of the stay that met a satisfactory standard.

Perfect stay experience — fully deserves a top score! I was in a rush and didn’t get a chance to exchange Singapore currency. While paying at a nearby store, I was short by over 6 SGD and felt really embarrassed. It was already 12 a.m. Luckily, the handsome night-shift receptionist was incredibly kind and warm-hearted. He offered to cover the amount for me without hesitation and saved me from an awkward situation. All the staff are gentle, professional, attentive and reliable. The hotel truly cares about its guests with great humanity, making travellers feel welcome and comfortable far away from home. This hotel is now on my must-stay list. I will absolutely book here again for my next trip or business stay in Singapore, and I highly recommend it to all travellers!
