"I stayed here for 3 nights. While the hotel was clean and the breakfast was good, I felt it was overpriced for what it offered. It felt more like a business hotel than a full-service hotel. The amenities were quite limited, with only a small gym available. One thing that stood out was the lack of staff. If you need something as simple as toiletries, you have to go to the front desk to pick them up—they won’t deliver them to your room. During my stay, I called to request toiletries and was told to collect them at the front desk. When I arrived, there was a long line of guests checking in, and there was no staff member available at the desk. I ended up waiting about 5–7 minutes just to pick up the toiletries I had already requested. Overall, the hotel was comfortable enough and maintained good cleanliness, but considering the price, I expected better service and more amenities."

"The location is truly superb! It's right next to Marine Parade MRT station, just a short walk away, making it incredibly convenient to get around the city and visit attractions by subway. There are plenty of shopping malls, restaurants, and local eateries nearby, so dining and shopping are a breeze. You can also walk to East Coast Park, and an evening stroll by the sea is incredibly therapeutic with beautiful scenery. The room itself is quite spacious, especially compared to other hotels in downtown Singapore. It was perfect for traveling with kids – not cramped at all, with plenty of space for luggage and children's belongings. The only minor drawback is that the hotel is a bit older, so some of the facilities are slightly dated, but overall it's clean and tidy, which didn't affect our stay. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, and they responded quickly to our requests, making for a very comfortable stay. This hotel is highly recommended for families traveling with children, mainly for its convenience and spaciousness. If you want to enjoy the East Coast scenery and experience local life at a leisurely pace, this is the place to choose!"

"Always enjoyed our stay at Katong V hotel. The staff are courteous, helpful and responsive. We reported on poor tv reception, mattress been too soft and also for late check out. The staff attended to all our requests. The location is excellent for connectivity either by bus and MRT. It is also near to airport so no worry of traffic jam when trying to catch flight. The hotel is generally well kept even though it is getting old. Ample carparks if one drives."

"It is always a great experience staying in Santa Grand. Location is great, staffs are friendly and helpful. It is located close to food stalls, cafe, shopping mall, convenience store, bus stop, and walking distance to MRT station. However, the hotel only accepts cashless deposit (by card). Room is clean. Toiletries and amenities are great: fridge, hairdryer, towel, ironing facility, etc. TV works well. I'll surely come back to stay here again whenever i come to Singapore. Thank you."

"I’ve stayed here for four nights as I have a program to attend in Marina Bay area. The room offers a unique and cultural design (nyonya-style )which I really liked it. The hotel’s location is good with malls and restaurants nearby, as well as only 5-7mins walk to the public transport. Make sure to try the Katong laksa nearby. However, cleanliness need improvement as you can see there are sticky stains on the “enjoy a greener stay” card which is placed on top of my bed as well as the used toilet paper roll have been left aside by previous guest and not removed before my stay (this is only removed on the third night of my stay which is quite concerning). Also, there is issue with the flushing of the toilet where the water keeps flowing out non-stop and the noice is very annoying. I couldn’t sleep well on my first night. Luckily the reception on the early morning shift arranged someone to go and fixed it. Lastly, the soundproof wasn’t so great although I requested a quiet room."

"The hotel's location is super convenient, right by Bencoolen MRT station. It's only four stops to Sentosa and Chinatown is on the same line, making it really easy to get around for sightseeing and shopping. The area is also very safe. However, the bed in my room was a bit small, so there's room for improvement there. The hotel has a swimming pool, which the kids absolutely loved, and there's also a heated pool. Right downstairs from the hotel, there's a 7-Eleven, and a 5-10 minute walk will take you to Fortune Centre, which has many local Singaporean chain restaurants. You can easily catch a taxi from here to any attraction, and WeChat Pay is accepted."

"This hotel was fantastic, even better than I expected! The room was spacious enough, the bedding was clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The view from the window was lovely too. The bathroom had plenty of hot water, and it was convenient for washing up. Just a heads-up, you'll need to bring your own shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner, and it's a good idea to bring your own slippers. The location is absolutely brilliant! It's not far from the subway station, and the area around is lively and safe. Both sides of the street are full of great food, coffee shops, bars, and tourist spots, all within a 5-15 minute walk! There are so many dining options, it's really a great place to explore. The hotel service was quite good; the front desk staff spoke both English and Chinese, and they offer free luggage storage. I would definitely consider staying here again on my next visit. Great value for money!"

"I had a pleasant stay at this hotel. The location is great, with plenty of nice cafés and restaurants nearby. The lobby is spacious and has a grand, elegant feel, making a great first impression. The lobby staff were also very friendly and welcoming throughout my stay. The room isn't very spacious, but considering the price, having a private en-suite bathroom makes it great value for money. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. A few things to note: the room isn't very soundproof, but it was quiet at night, so it didn't affect my sleep. The hairdryer is attached inside the drawer, so don't be surprised if you can't find it at first. The hotel is also a bit of a walk from the nearest MRT station, which may be something to consider if you plan to use public transport frequently. Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay. It's a great choice if you're looking for a clean, comfortable, and affordable hotel in a convenient area. I would happily stay here again."
