"The room was very clean, and the location was excellent with a bustling commercial area nearby, making it super convenient for shopping and dining. The hotel neighborhood was quiet, and the room's soundproofing was decent. Plus, the room size was huge! This definitely beats most hotels in Singapore. Airport bus provides direct access, and it's less than half an hour to the city center. The pool was clean and open 24/7."

"Location-wise, it's a great spot, only a 3-5 minute walk from the metro station. Getting to the airport is also convenient with a direct bus that takes about 30 minutes, and the East Coast is a 15-minute walk away. As for the room, it was indeed small, which is typical for hotels in Singapore. However, the cleanliness was definitely an issue. There were obvious oil stains on the duvet cover, and the headboard had various damages and stains. The shower water pressure was fine, but they don't provide bottled water; there's a drinking water tap instead. The air conditioning was incredibly cold; even after setting it to 25 degrees, the room consistently showed 16-18 degrees. Breakfast was just okay."

"Always enjoyed our stay at Katong V hotel. The staff are courteous, helpful and responsive. We reported on poor tv reception, mattress been too soft and also for late check out. The staff attended to all our requests. The location is excellent for connectivity either by bus and MRT. It is also near to airport so no worry of traffic jam when trying to catch flight. The hotel is generally well kept even though it is getting old. Ample carparks if one drives."

"Wonderful, warm WELCOME - the bath bomb was most appreciated. Gorgeous building. ROOFTOP SWIMMING POOL! Enjoyed sunset from the HAMMOCK!!! Centrally located. Safe neighborhood. Enjoyed my room with bathtub, comfortable bed and complimentary minibar! Yummy treats available 24/7 in lobby. Close to Kopikhoo, Peranakan Houses, Guzman & Gomez and various malls. Highly recommended."

"I stayed here for one night during a layover. My flight landed after midnight, so I picked this area because it's close to the airport. It was great that the front desk still had staff working in the middle of the night. The room wasn't huge, but it was clean and comfortable. In the morning, I went for a walk and discovered that the hotel is right next to a Nyonya cultural street. The architecture was beautiful, and there were lots of restaurants."

"The hotel is very close to Joo Chiat Road and within walking distance to East Coast Park. For my three days in Singapore, I relied entirely on walking, buses, and the MRT. The hotel's distance to the MRT station and bus stops is moderate – not super close, but a comfortable walk. The hotel service was excellent. Although check-in was officially at 3 PM, I arrived in the morning. The front desk helped me store my luggage and told me they would put my bags directly into my room once it was ready. After a short stroll around Joo Chiat Road, I returned around noon, and they informed me my room was ready for immediate check-in. The breakfast was a definite plus (breakfast is always a top priority for me when booking a hotel), with a fantastic variety of morning beverages that could be ordered and freshly prepared on the spot."

"This hotel offers incredible value for money! It's conveniently located right next to a police station, Fort Canning Park, a famous Bak Kut Teh restaurant, and a church. There's also a shopping mall downstairs, making dining super easy. The room was very clean, simple, and bright. While not huge, it was perfectly sufficient for two people traveling. We didn't get to fully explore Fort Canning Park downstairs due to the summer heat, but it's a large park with lush trees and a beautiful design, definitely worth a visit."

"For us, the location was perfect. We were in Singapore mainly to visit SOTA, NAFA, LASALLE and a few other art colleges, and the hotel was very conveniently located for all of this. Another big plus for us was Plaza Singapura, which was very close by. My daughter loved it because of Tori Q and Art Friend, her favourites, inside the mall. The hotel itself is an older property, and you can see that in some areas, but our room was clean, neat and comfortable. A special mention to the young man who took care of our room. He was absolutely wonderful. Very prompt, polite and always made sure the room was done properly. He did a great job throughout our stay and was one of the nicest parts of our experience."

"The hotel is located in a relatively lively area with plenty of places to explore nearby. However, getting to the subway isn't very convenient. Also, if your room is facing the road after check-in, I'd suggest asking for a change, as the soundproofing of the windows is really not up to par."
