"This hotel is located right in the city center, with a lively pedestrian street and plenty of great food options downstairs. The halal beef pancakes right outside are delicious and always have a long queue! If you turn right out of the hotel and pass Nanning Street, you'll reach Shuncheng Shopping Mall, which boasts numerous restaurants. The Wuyi Road metro station is also right next to it. You can easily walk to Cuihu Park and several other pedestrian streets from the hotel, making dining and shopping incredibly convenient. The hotel breakfast offers a wide variety of dishes, including local Yunnan specialties like Er'si and rice noodles. The hotel maintains the high standards of Sheraton (Marriott), and the room facilities are excellent. The lovely front desk staff even upgraded my room and gave me a fruit platter. My room on the 28th floor offered expansive city views. For transportation to Kunming Station, if you're in a hurry, I'd recommend a taxi as there might not be a direct metro line due to the complex underground structure of the old city. One suggestion I have is to place ashtrays (or poles) outside the entrance. This would prevent guests who step out to smoke from a non-smoking hotel from littering cigarette butts."

"My experience at Hyatt Regency Kunming this time was absolutely five-star plus! I especially want to thank Bianca. She proactively contacted me even before check-in to confirm my itinerary and needs. She stayed in touch throughout my stay, and no matter what questions I had or what I thought of last minute, her response time was incredibly fast. More importantly, she personally followed up on every single request; it wasn't just a simple ”Okay,” but she truly made sure everything was handled before feeling at ease. She also proactively arranged the welcome fruit, snacks, and turn-down service beforehand. I barely had to worry about a thing during my entire stay. Nowadays, many hotels have great hardware, but it's rare to find such detailed and warm service. I also really loved the hotel itself. The overall design is very tasteful, and both the public areas and guest rooms are beautiful. I took so many photos this time; every corner was picture-perfect. I've always had high expectations for Hyatt's service standards, but Bianca's performance still exceeded them. I'd even say her service surpassed my expectations for the Hyatt brand itself. She made me realize that what truly makes a hotel memorable for guests isn't just beautiful spaces and excellent facilities, but rather having someone who genuinely cares about your every need. This stay left a very deep impression on me about Hyatt Regency Kunming, and I hope the hotel will recognize Bianca appropriately. Such service is truly rare and is the most important reason why I would choose Hyatt Regency Kunming again."

"This is my second time choosing the Grand Park Hotel by Cuihu Lake, having stayed in Kunming a few times. The location is truly a 'hidden gem' – No. 20 Honghua Bridge, within a ten-minute walk to the Yunnan Military Academy, Yunnan University, and Wenlin Street. You can even see the shimmering waters of Cuihu Lake from your window. It's a well-established five-star hotel; while it's older, it's well-maintained. The solid wood furniture and ethnic patterned carpets give it a distinct Yunnanese vibe, rather than a trendy, 'influencer-style' aesthetic. The extra-long windows in the room are a highlight. This hotel is perfect for city walks around the Cuihu Lake area, for those traveling with seniors, or guests who prefer not to change locations frequently. However, if you're looking for brand-new facilities or an 'Instagrammable' pool, you might want to consider other options."

"Facilities: This is a Shangri-La Group express hotel, boasting a stylish and modern design. It shares the same building with the main Shangri-La hotel, so guests have access to their gym and swimming pool. The brand-new amenities make for a very comfortable stay. Location: It's conveniently located near the Parc 66 shopping mall area, and the Tuodong Sports Center Metro Station (Line 3) is right outside, making travel easy. Service: The hotel's Kaitang Cafe offers an excellent breakfast with a wide variety of high-quality dishes, including local specialties and outstanding bakery items. The restaurant staff are very friendly and helpful. The fitness center also provides fantastic service; they even offer complimentary coffee after your workout. I'd also like to thank the front desk staff, ISABEL, LOUIS, and HALINA, for their excellent service during my stay."

"Five stars, highly recommended! This is an old, established state guesthouse in Kunming that you absolutely must stay at. Its heritage, views, and service are all top-notch. The location is unbeatable, directly facing Cuihu Park. Open the French windows and you're greeted with lake views and weeping willows. In autumn and winter, you can even spot red-billed gulls. Yunnan University and the Yunnan Military Academy are within walking distance, making it convenient for exploring the old city without much travel. The hotel's design was partly conceived by I.M. Pei, blending new Chinese style with retro Art Deco. The lobby's gilded lotus sculpture, rosewood carvings, and vintage staircase create an incredible ambiance. The gardens are tranquil and elegant, and every photo you take captures the unique, understated elegance of a historic five-star hotel. Service is gentle, understated, and perfectly balanced, never intrusive. Upon check-in, guests receive fresh flowers and welcome fruits, and the room is refreshed daily with Yunnan-style floral arrangements. Turndown service includes peach gum and white fungus soup, along with seagull-shaped cookies – thoughtful details that truly shine. The 24-hour butler service is on-call, and staff members politely greet guests, always professional and sincere. The room comfort exceeded expectations. The bedding is soft and plush, and the soundproofing is excellent. During the dry season, the whole-house humidity control system is a lifesaver, especially for those with allergies. The bathroom features a built-in TV in the bathtub and electric privacy glass. All mini-bar drinks are complimentary, and there's even freshly ground Yunnan small-grain coffee, adding a distinct local touch. Breakfast is served in the lake-view restaurant, offering a rich variety of authentic dishes, including freshly prepared Crossing-the-Bridge Noodles, 'posu bao' (flaky steamed buns), and rose 'naiba Jiu' (a local milky wine). Dining by the lake creates an exceptional atmosphere. The accompanying heated pool is clean and uncrowded, perfect for relaxation. Whether for business or leisure, this hotel is perfectly suited. Its century-old refined quality is irreplaceable. I will definitely choose Cuihu Hotel again on my next visit to Kunming!"

"The rooms are nice, but they're a bit far from the main attractions. It's not as convenient as staying in Kunming Old Street, and there are a lot of tour groups, which makes it quite noisy. I stayed in a duplex room, and at night, both toilets kept flushing automatically for no reason, making loud gurgling noises several times and waking me up. I got so annoyed that I just pulled the plugs out, and then it was completely quiet, haha. Other than that, everything else was good. There's a plaza nearby with lively square dancing, and Shuangqiao Night Market is also close by. The breakfast is rich and excellent. The 10th floor has an infinity pool and the lobby, which is very beautiful."
