"When I first booked, I wasn't aware of the scenic area's rule requiring visitors to enter by shuttle bus before 4:30 PM on the day of arrival. Fortunately, the hotel was very accommodating and allowed me to postpone my booking by a day.
For dinner, I had the tender stewed chicken and Mapo Tofu. Unfortunately, I couldn't eat much due to severe altitude sickness. However, as a self-proclaimed foodie, I'd rate the chicken soup 90 out of 100 – the chicken itself was a good choice, though the knife work could be refined. The Mapo Tofu, while not made with traditional Sichuan tofu and thus having a slightly less authentic texture, was still perfectly acceptable.
My altitude sickness worsened that night. Even with the diffused oxygen system in the room, I remained sleepless throughout. This was a profound irony for someone like me, who has cycled across China and entered Tibet via the G219 highway multiple times.
The male owner spoke good foreign languages, and the female owner was gracefully elegant. Highly recommended."
