The window offered a view of Dream Valley, and the hotel's proximity to Qin Palace and Riverside Scene at Qingming Festival made getting around incredibly convenient."

"Despite the amenities being a bit dated, my stay at Hengdian Yihe Hotel (Qinwang Palace Dream Branch) was thoroughly enjoyable and I would not hesitate to give it a good rating. The hotel's greatest strength is its unbeatable location. It's very close to the Qin Palace and Qingming Shang He Tu scenic spots, which is incredibly convenient for exploring. While the furnishings are older, the entire property is very well-maintained and clean. What truly made our stay exceptional was the staff, particularly the receptionist. She was incredibly friendly and patient, answering all our questions and offering excellent recommendations for attractions. Another nice touch was the unlimited supply of bottled water provided by the hotel. For dining options, we found several Halal Lanzhou noodle shops within a 1.5km to 5km radius. Getting around was easy and affordable using Didi. If you prioritise modern, luxurious rooms, this might not be for you. But if you value a prime location, cleanliness, and outstandingly friendly service, this hotel is an excellent choice."

"I stayed in the Flower Garden Room at the Guangzhou Street branch. The hotel has many branches scattered throughout the Guangzhou Street and Hong Kong Street scenic area, offering various room types. This review focuses specifically on the Flower Garden Room. The Flower Garden Room type is located at the very back of the scenic area, about an eight-minute walk to the entrance (a free shuttle service is also available). The Flower Garden area features many ancient courtyard buildings, each containing several rooms on both the first and second floors. Generally, the first-floor rooms are slightly larger and come with a courtyard, while the second-floor rooms are a bit smaller but have a balcony. The Guangzhou Street and Hong Kong Street scenic area opens at 1 PM and closes at 9 PM. Guests staying here enjoy 24-hour access and do not need a ticket for this specific scenic area (if you wish to visit other scenic areas, a combined ticket costs 199 yuan). Wandering through the empty streets when the park is closed, whether in the morning or at night, gives a wonderfully eerie and exhilarating feeling. It's truly unique! Room rates vary between peak and off-peak seasons. If you come during the off-season on a weekday, the value for money here is absolutely stellar – a hundred stars! The rooms are clean and distinctive, and the service is impeccably perfect! The breakfast spread is rich and comprehensive. Overall, a five-star rating! Highly recommended."

"Super fun! This was one of the theme hotels that were hidden on the Guangzhou Street and Hong Kong Street set. Appropriately, the Rosslyn Hotels' brand icon is the Landlady from Kungfu Hustle. Upon arrival, you check in at the North Gate's Tourist Services Desk. The concierge welcomed me with a complimentary bag of fresh fruit and asking me to add their butler (Housekeeper Xiao Xiao) to my WeChat. If I needed anything, I just had to text the Housekeeper Xiao Xiao (who was super helpful with all my questions (in English) during my stay). Then the bellhop whisked me away, via golf cart, to my hotel. There were several hidden hotels, with different themes, throughout the set. The bellhop took me through an unassuming door among into what looked like an empty set, and up an elevator to the room floors. The walkway offered a lovely view of the Ming Qing Palace set next door. The rooms were supposed to be themed as Guangzhou and Hong Kong in the 70s and 80s, but could easily pass for old Shanghai. The room was immaculate. The bed was very comfortable, the shower has nice and hot and with fantastic water pressure. The room has some of the largest closet space that I have seen in any hotel. The WiFi worked without the need to register a local cellphone number (I've found that many other hotels, in China, offered free WiFi, but you need to verify with an ID code text to you. The texts never come through to my U.S. phone number, so I have never been able to take advantage of free WiFi; that is until I got to this hotel.) The little details were delightful surprises around every corner. They always refer to guests as ”laoshi” (an honorific of teacher, or master, bestowed to actors) or as ”starlet”. Not gonna lie, I really wanted to take home the pair of the room's bone china cups. The stay also comes with very decent breakfast buffet that had both Chinese and western dishes. They will even make you fresh wontons and noodle soups to order. The restaurants in the park are not great and quite expensive by China's standard. I recommend loading up at the more tasty free breakfast to power through the day. The hotel's location was very convenient for touring Guangzhou Street and Hong Kong Street; which had very lively evening shows. (As you walk through the streets, look at the stores' signs and test your TV shows and movie knowledge by finding the Easter eggs.) The Qing Ming Palace Set is across the street from the Guangzhou Street and Hong Kong Street's South Gateon the other side of the park (don't worry, it's not that far). To access the other sets, you can take their shuttle, but it does not come around very often. It's more efficient to get a Didi. Overall, it was a magical stay of being in the movies."

"We stayed at the Floral Hotel beside Dream Valley during Chinese New Year, and it turned out to be one of the most memorable hotel experiences we’ve had anywhere in China. While the location is already a major advantage being just steps away from Dream Valley and close to the other Hengdian attractions - what truly sets this hotel apart is the heart and personality behind it. This is not a typical boutique hotel. It’s a place shaped by the owners’ passion, taste, and genuine care for their guests. From the moment you arrive, you can feel that the hotel is a labor of love. The architecture and interior design are beautifully curated, with many pieces collected by the owners over the years. Walking through the courtyard and hallways feels like stepping into a different era, almost like entering a scene from the Song dynasty. Yet the rooms themselves are fully modern, comfortable, and thoughtfully equipped. It’s a rare blend of historical atmosphere and contemporary convenience, and it creates a sense of immersion that you simply don’t get at most hotels in the area. Even though we didn’t stay in the hotel’s best room, we were extremely comfortable. The beds are very firm - something to keep in mind depending on your preference - but we slept well. The room features a large, modern soaking tub that’s perfect after a long day of walking through the film sets and a separate bathroom and shower. And one of our favorite touches was the smart projector in the room, which turns a simple movie night into a cinematic experience. It’s small details like these that show how much thought has gone into making the stay enjoyable. But the true highlight of our visit was the hospitality. The owners are warm, attentive, and genuinely invested in making guests feel welcome. On one rainy day, when there wasn’t much for us to do outside, they invited us into their main hall for tea. They set up a traditional tea table with a heated brazier, creating a cozy, intimate atmosphere that felt like visiting old friends rather than staying at a hotel. They kept bringing local snacks: seeds, small rice cakes, and even freshly cooked sweet potato - all offered freely and with genuine kindness. My wife and kids loved every bit of it. What could have been a dull, rainy afternoon became one of our favorite memories of the entire trip. Their kindness extended beyond that moment. At one point, we accidentally made a mess in our room (entirely our fault) and the owners helped us clean up without a hint of frustration or judgment. It’s rare to find that level of patience and understanding, especially during the busy holiday season. Breakfast each morning was another highlight. The hotel has a local cook who clearly takes pride in her craft. The dishes were fresh and simple but full of flavor, prepared with care and attention. You could feel her pride in everything she served. It’s the kind of breakfast that makes you slow down and appreciate the home cooked moment, rather than rushing through a buffet line like at larger hotels. All in all, this hotel was a true win for us. The personal touches, the warmth of the owners, the passion of the cook, and the unique atmosphere created by the carefully collected antiques all come together to create an experience that stands out among the many boutique hotels in the area. In fact, I would say it’s probably better than any other hotel around Hengdian. It’s rare to find a place that feels both deeply rooted in local culture and fully equipped with modern comforts, but this hotel manages to do exactly that. We would absolutely recommend it to anyone visiting Hengdian, whether for the parks, the film sets, or simply a relaxing getaway. And if we ever return to the area, we would stay here again without hesitation."

"This hotel is really thoughtful. They provided snacks in the room and even gave us a souvenir when we checked out, which was a lovely touch. You can see Dongyang's special wood carvings everywhere – clearly the owner loves their hometown culture! 👍 They've cultivated a vibrant group of young employees. The pho for breakfast was delicious 🤤. It's also very close to Yuanmingyuan. I had a great impression. Definitely a worthwhile trip!"

"Guomao Building, a well-established four-star hotel in Hengdian, was my choice for a two-night stay during the Chinese New Year, and I had a fantastic experience. First off, the service was incredibly warm and attentive. The security guard at the entrance proactively helped with my luggage, and the front desk staff not only offered a complimentary children's meal but also provided a detailed guide to the film and television city. These thoughtful gestures, showing genuine care for guests, were truly heartwarming. Secondly, the room facilities were spotless. Despite the hotel having been in operation for some years, the cleanliness standards have not wavered. All amenities were well-maintained and fully functional, and the room temperature was set perfectly, making for a very comfortable stay. Lastly, the breakfast was a highlight. In addition to the standard offerings, they served local specialties like 'Mai Jiao' (wheat dumplings) and 'Mi Guo' (rice cakes). It wasn't just filling; it offered a taste of local culture too."

"I specifically chose the Hengdian World Studios Hotel for my trip to Hengdian this time, and my overall experience was really great, exceeding my expectations! The location is super convenient, right in the heart of Hengdian, very close to the scenic spots. It's easy to get to Dream Valley, Qin Palace, or Riverside Scene at Qingming Festival. Taking a taxi or bus is hassle-free. There are also plenty of dining options and shops nearby, with snack bars and convenience stores everywhere. It feels very safe to go out for a stroll in the evening. The hotel's overall environment is clean and tidy. The lobby is spacious and bright, which is very pleasant to see. The public areas are well-maintained and organized, not messy at all. The overall atmosphere is quiet and peaceful; even though it's near scenic spots, it doesn't feel noisy. The room is decorated very warmly; I felt relaxed the moment I walked in. The lighting is soft, and the decor is simple yet comfortable. The bedding is soft and clean, making for a very comfortable sleep. After a day of exploring the scenic spots, lying down on the bed instantly relieved most of my fatigue. The room space is adequate, with good lighting and ventilation, and the cleanliness is excellent, even in the corners. Toiletries are complete, and the hot water is stable, making for a very comfortable stay. The front desk staff's attitude is also excellent; check-in and check-out are quick, and they answer questions patiently. The overall value for money is high. Staying here is truly suitable for a trip to Hengdian – great location, clean environment, and a comfortable stay. I will definitely choose this hotel again next time I visit Hengdian!"

"I booked a hotel and attraction package on Trip.com and chose this hotel from many options. When I arrived, the front desk simply said they'd upgraded my room for free. When I got to the room, I found out I'd been upgraded directly from a standard king room to a 60-square-meter business suite – I was so pleased! I immediately decided to stay an extra day and booked the cheapest room type. When I went down to the front desk to inform them, they said, 'Could you please give me your room card?' Then I was told they had again upgraded me to the business suite for my extended stay, and even gave me a free one-day pass to five major park attractions. I was so touched! **Amenities:** Very complete, everything you could think of and even things you wouldn't. **Hygiene:** Very clean and well-kept. For such a large room, it's impressive how meticulously it was cleaned. **Environment:** Very quiet. With the doors and windows closed, you can barely hear any noise. **Service:** Whether it was the front desk, the lobby manager, or housekeeping, everyone was warm, attentive, and always willing to help. I was very moved. Next time I come to Hengdian, I will definitely choose this hotel again."

"Staying inside the theme park means you have unlimited access free of charge to visit the attractions. The theme park opens to the public at 2pm. As a hotel guest you can walk around the scenic area before the public crowd comes in. However, all shops only opens 2pm as well. It is very quiet after 9pm, you’ll need to take a taxi out to town if you want some nightlife."
