"This is one of the BEST hotel I've stayed so far. Firstly, the room is super clean, hotel staff is also very friendly, breakfast buffet is pretty good! The room we booked is also huge, there is definitely ample space for multiple people and luggages! Bed is comfortable as well, and shower pressure is strong. A little downside is its about 20mins from the main city. Also, laundry and dryer are available for free. I will fully recommend this place if you're here for a short trip! Also, there is free car pick up and drop off service to Putian train station. You have to contact them a few days in advance. For international tourists, recommend that you use wechat and is able to type chinese for reserving the service :)"

"Overall, the hotel was a decent stay with a few drawbacks. It’s about a 12-minute walk from the train station, which is convenient, although the building looks a bit shady from the outside. Inside, however, it’s very clean, the rooms are brand new as well. We arrived at 1am and found it closed, so we had to call to check in, which was a bit inconvenient. The biggest downside was the noise, there were firecrackers and fireworks going off until 5am (likely due to New Year’s Eve), making it hard to sleep. Also, the room only had one towel for two people. Overall, clean and modern, but with some inconveniences."

"The hotel's facilities are a bit dated. The room's decor style is old, and the flooring is a bit worn and damaged. The lobby on the first floor has a nouveau riche vibe with a very strong, pervasive scent. The elevators, in particular, are too few and very slow; you have to wait a long time. Cleanliness: The hygiene was standard. Environment: The location is pretty good, with plenty of food options nearby. Service: The service was very poor, especially at the front desk, where the staff seemed untrained. Breakfast was also quite disappointing; when tour groups were dining, there weren't enough seats, and food replenishment couldn't keep up. The hotel's prices also increased during the Chinese New Year. For this price, such service is quite unsatisfactory."

"I chose their 270-degree sea view room online because it was significantly cheaper than similar rooms. So, I gave up my original plan for a twin-bed room. When I got to the room and opened the curtains, I was pleasantly surprised! It looked exactly like the pictures on the platform – what you see is what you get. It would have been even more perfect if there wasn't a rooftop in front, haha! 😂 The room was very clean, and there was plenty of space for luggage. There's a mini-fridge, and they even provided complimentary iced Coke! They offer port pickup and drop-off, and the owner was already waiting for us when we disembarked. The guesthouse's location is also very convenient; it's perfect for strolling from one end of Mazu Temple towards Ewei. The guesthouse has small electric scooters available for rent, but we tried one, and my driving skills weren't great, and I accidentally broke a small flower pot belonging to the guesthouse. I offered to pay, but the landlady insisted on not taking any money... She helped us find a reasonably priced mini-scooter rental and even warned us about the risk of scrapes since the rental scooter wasn't insured. The service was exceptional! At night, we felt an earthquake due to the tremor in Taiwan. I went downstairs, and the owner told me their guesthouse foundation could withstand a magnitude 4-5 earthquake, which immediately put my mind at ease, haha. It was a really great stay, definitely worth the two days I spent carefully choosing it!"

"Fantastic hotel! Really appreciated the kindness and thoroughness of the staff who helped liase between the railway station and me when I accidentally left my bag on a train. Besides that, the doorman is also very attentive and kind, giving us tea when we were waiting for our Didi! The room is as clean, spacious, and well-furnished as it can be, with prompt and attentive cleaning every day. Breakfast was great with many tasty local options. GGuest UserThis trip with three elderly guests turned out to be the warmest experience we've ever had on Meizhou Island! I booked two sea-view rooms, each with a terrace offering unobstructed ocean views. My elders could simply sit and watch the tides rise and fall without any hassle. We checked in on the 14th day of the first ***** month, and I was worried about the elderly guests' mobility issues getting around to meals. However, the landlady was incredibly thoughtful. She had her brother take me to the market on an electric scooter to buy seafood while the elderly guests rested and enjoyed the view. That evening, she even took us to see the local village's Mazu welcoming and sending-off ceremony—a truly authentic experience of Mazu culture, filled with the sounds of gongs and drums, the aroma of incense, and dazzling fireworks. This genuine immersion in Mazu culture is something tourists can't find on their own. Even more heartwarming was her thoughtfulness. Seeing that my mother had knee problems, she offered her some knee ointment. The next day, when the weather turned cold, she brought my father a jacket so he could wear it to the pier across the water to return it to the Mazu liaison office. These small gestures deeply touched us. The rooms were clean, conveniently located, and offered beautiful views, but what we remembered most was the landlady's warm hospitality. Meizhou Island boasts beautiful scenery and warm hospitality. I highly recommend this guesthouse when traveling to Meizhou Island.

The surrounding transportation was convenient and there were many restaurants. The hotel also had electric bikes for rent, which was very convenient. 吃吃货小兔First off do not book here if you don't have a high level of spoken Chinese. You will need to phone the landlord to get shown to the apartment and get the keys. It is an apartment not a hotel and it is down a back alley with no signage (it's the door on the right on the third floor of the third apartment block down the first small 弄/alley off the bigger back street, turning left from the corner shop called 山土特产, but again you'll need the key). The landlord was friendly and helpful, gave some recommendations for the area and brought extra disposable towels when I asked. Cleanliness was not spectacular as there were some used tissues left on the floor by the bed (behind the bedside table) and there was no hand soap provided, but other than this I was satisfied with the stay. It is very well located for tourism in the Xinghuafu historic zone.
