"Originally, I was looking forward to this stay. The room itself was not too problematic in all aspects. The overall comfort after the actual stay. However, the most influential thing about this experience is the ”cleaning fee” and follow-up communication problems. I only booked the room the day before check-in. At that time, the price was more favorable, but I accidentally didn't notice that the cleaning fee for the room was quite high, and the cleaning fee was even more expensive than the price itself. Of course, I have no responsibility to see this clearly, and I suggest that people who book a room afterward must pay special attention to whether the cleaning fee is charged separately and whether the amount is reasonable. I understand that the landlord may want the guests to book a few more days in a row, so set the cleaning fee as a one-time fee. However, the problem was that when I found this, I tried to contact the hotel ／ when the landlord asked if it could be cancelled, the communication process was very uneven. I looked up through Trip.com at about 10 o'clock that night, but the platform has always said that I can't contact the landlord; until around 12 noon the next day, there was still no clear reply. I tried to contact myself through another platform and waited for about two hours until I finally got a reply around 2pm. The landlord’s reply was to the effect that since I had completed the payment, I accepted the relevant terms on behalf of me, and I needed to take responsibility for it myself. I can understand this and admit that I did not read it carefully. However, what I later proposed was that since the room rate cannot be cancelled, the landlord can keep the rent and only refund the cleaning fee. Because if I don't end up staying, the landlord doesn't actually need to clean me extra; The cleaning fee should have corresponded to the actual cleaning cost, not simply as non-refundable income. Unfortunately, the landlord's response is still quite mechanical, but it is constantly emphasized that it is my responsibility and has not made any specific considerations on this compromise plan. This makes me feel that communication is inflexible and a little empathy is lacking. In summary, the room itself is comfortable and the accommodation environment is not obviously a problem. But this experience made me feel that the setting of cleaning fees and communication efficiency are worth noting. Especially for passengers who only stay for one night, it is important to carefully confirm the amount of cleaning fee before paying, otherwise the actual expenditure may be much higher than the surface price."

"The hotel is very comfortable with a good location not far from public transport. The room was spacious with free drinkible water and ve ry stylish design. Only one bad thing for us ut was breakfast. Almost no options what to choose. By my opinion I can recommend this hotel for couples and solo travelers."

"The room is exactly as shown in the picture. It's clean and quiet. There's an elevator in the building, but it's a bit of a walk from Namba Station. The signal is intermittent when entering the building. The Wi-Fi is a bit choppy, like the room has a weak signal. But overall, it's okay. There's a family room nearby. You can walk to the Purple or Red Line (I don't remember exactly 😭)."

"First of all, the communication was amazing. Fast replies and clear instructions on how to get to the apartment and how to get in. The facility was clean. It is not a bit room but as you’re not there most of the time it really doesn’t matter. The room has all facilities I needed. A desk, small kitchen with fridge, electric stove and a microwave. What made me choose this apartment was the gym. As compared to other apartments or hotels on Trip, this gym had a squat rack and barbells. I generally miss this at a hotel/ apartment gym and it was highly appreciated. I would definitely recommend this place and would book this again when I return to Osaka!"

"The location is great, about a 10-minute walk from Nihonbashi and close to Kuromon Market, which we passed by every day. It's also very convenient if you need to cook. The room is larger than typical hotel rooms, and there's a coin-operated washer and dryer downstairs."

"Transportation: One subway stop from Sakaisuji-bashi and two from Umeda. Take the Sakaisuji Line to Sakaisuji-Honmachi, which is closer than the Midosuji Line's Honmachi Station. Overall Hotel: A Marriott brand, it's youthful and stylish, with a retro, industrial-industrial décor, typical of domestic hotels, rather than the more traditional Japanese style. Maintenance and cleanliness are excellent. Service: The staff are young and diverse, and their English proficiency is generally higher than that of purely Japanese hotels, making communication easy! A special thank you to Ms. Sue. During my stay, I inquired about medical treatment. She patiently asked for details, helped me find and contact the hospital, and even took care of follow-up afterwards. I've been to Japan seven times, and the service this time was exceptional! Thumbs up to her, and to Marriott! 👍"

"Location is a little far from the station, acceptable The room does not provide slippers, the floor is a bit dirty, wipe the area that will move with disinfectant wipes, the convenience store around just don't have slippers to sell, and the first night you have to tiptoe to buy slippers at the department store. There are hangers but there is no good way to hang clothes in the room There is a fitness room downstairs, which is a bonus item. Administrator's message response speed is fast, commendable"

"The room is quite small, the shower and toilet are separated into wet and dry areas, and the dressing table is dim due to the lack of a table lamp. Otherwise, it's fine. "I’ve been a little wary of place at first, given the reviews given on other website. However, overall we (me and my wife) were happy with the apartment. The location is superb and the apartment has all the basics one might need to stay for a week or more. We did find some dust in cupboard and closet but other than that, the place was pretty clean - the bed is super soft and towels were fresh. For some reason there was no shower curtain. For those that are booking this place - keep in mind - they don’t provide you with amenities other than body soap/shampoo as well as towels, so buy yourself a toothbrush in nearest FamilyMart."

"I originally booked a W Suite and arrived at 12 PM hoping to secure a high-floor room, but was only given the 8th floor. So, I paid more to upgrade to a Marvelous Suite. Honestly, the hardware facilities are excellent, but! If you want to experience differential treatment, this W is the place to be. First, someone else's laundry was mistakenly delivered to our suite. When I told the front desk, they were dismissive, merely saying someone would come to collect it, without even an apology. Later, while we were out, they left two boxes of Pocky biscuits... truly perfunctory. Then, we went to the Living Room on the third floor for drinks, and the server was practically bowing to Caucasian guests, while being very dismissive towards us. Around 10 PM, I called their 24/7 Whatever/Whenever service for an extra duvet, and they told me they had none left. The next day, I ordered room service through the Bonvoy app, and since I couldn't find the order on the web version, I called again to confirm. They said they'd call me back after checking with room service, but the meal arrived and I never got a call back. It felt like they didn't care about their guests at all. Also, the suite's minibar is entirely chargeable, and there are no additional services. It really felt like I paid a hefty price just to rent the room itself. I can't really praise the service from a five-star Marriott-branded hotel. This review is a heads-up for anyone considering booking this hotel. Though I doubt W Osaka will care about my review; they're always fully booked and don't lack customers. Oh, and the front desk concierge who spoke Chinese were all from Taiwan."
