Romantic Hotels in Kunshan

"We drove from Shanghai with our child for a short weekend trip to Kunshan. After comparing several hotels, we chose the Golden Eagle Shangmei Hotel in Kunshan, and our entire family trip was perfect – both adults and children were extremely happy, making it ideal for family travel. What truly impressed us as a family was its excellent location. The hotel is seamlessly connected to the Golden Eagle Mall, offering a supermarket, children's clothing stores, a kids' play area, and various restaurants. We didn't have to go far to find food, drinks, or entertainment for our little one. It's also a convenient ten-minute drive to Tinglin Park, so it was easy to return to the hotel to rest after exploring the scenic area. Plus, the huge underground parking lot is free, so parking was never a worry for us driving. The high-altitude lobby of the hotel has a fantastic ambiance, with a design that incorporates elements of Suzhou's water towns and exquisite soft furnishings everywhere. As soon as my child entered, they couldn't resist taking photos. Daisy Wu, the lobby manager, learned we had a child and proactively upgraded us to a higher-floor scenic room, which made our little one incredibly happy. Our room was spacious and felt unconfined, with floor-to-ceiling windows offering expansive views. My child particularly enjoyed watching the city's nightscape from the window in the evening. The room's cleanliness was impeccable; the floors, bathroom corners, and even under the bed were spotless. Hot water supply was stable, and the bathroom's non-slip treatment was well done, so we didn't have to worry about our child slipping. The bedding was soft and comfortable, and the blackout curtains worked wonderfully, preventing any light from disturbing our afternoon naps. The room also had a small sofa, allowing our child to play freely. The soundproofing throughout the room was excellent; the noise from the mall downstairs didn't filter up at all, ensuring our child had very peaceful naps and restful nights. The hotel breakfast was a major highlight for a family trip, with a rich variety that catered to both adults and children, including Chinese Suzhou-style noodles, Western cakes and fried chicken, fresh fruits, and yogurt. The freshly cooked wontons and noodles were light and easy to digest. The 24-hour gym was clean and tidy, allowing parents to get a quick workout while the children rested. The hotel staff were exceptionally patient with children; the cleaning aunties in the hallway would actively greet our child with gentle and friendly attitudes. The travel convenience was top-notch. It was within walking distance to the subway station, and a taxi ride to nearby attractions only took a few minutes. If we didn't want to go out at night, the mall downstairs had a cinema and a family play center. After playing, we could directly return to the hotel without having to rush back and forth. The room amenities were comprehensive, with drinking water and disposables replenished promptly, and room service calls were responded to quickly. This family stay far exceeded our expectations; the environment was comfortable, the service was attentive, and the facilities were complete, catering to both adult relaxation and children's fun. It offered incredible value for money, and we will definitely stay at the Golden Eagle Shangmei Hotel again next time we bring our family to Kunshan for a vacation."

"It was my first time to go to Kunshan. The landlord was kind and even helped me with directions even if I didn’t know the way. In fact, the route was already shared before I came here, but I was so stupid. The room is nice, consistent with the pictures. There is Tianhong downstairs, which is very convenient. Whether it is ordering takeout, convenient supermarket, or cooking by yourself. There is a small river and a noodle shop downstairs. There are buses in and out from the south gate, and it's also convenient to take a taxi."

"This hotel is brand new, with Crowne Plaza on the 1st floor and Holiday Inn on the 2nd. We specifically chose Crowne Plaza this time for the bathtub. The recreational facilities are shared with the Holiday Inn. What really impressed me was the swimming pool. Picture 2 shows the gym lobby, which is beautifully decorated, and the equipment inside is quite good; the Patriot hairdryer, for example, is just as effective as some more famous brands. Breakfast felt a bit rushed, though. If you go down around 9:40 AM, many items aren't replenished, but the pan-fried buns at breakfast were incredibly delicious. Despite the high guest traffic, I never once had to wait or feel crowded in the elevators. The service was excellent. Among all the hotels I've stayed in recently, this one had the cleanest rooms, and the bedding was great, making for a very comfortable sleep. The crib, an IKEA one, was also very good. The hotel's service is also excellent, and they even provide car charging. The location is also fantastic; I heard it's very close to Line 11, so next time I might even take the subway to stay here."

"I stayed at the Shuxiang Fudi Hotel in Zhouzhuang, and overall, it was a great experience. What impressed me most was the service: as soon as we arrived at the parking lot, a staff member was already there to greet us. They then helped us get our entrance tickets and personally escorted us all the way to the hotel – it was incredibly thoughtful. The breakfast wasn't particularly elaborate, but it tasted good. At check-out, they even gave us a souvenir, which was a very nice touch. I'd definitely consider staying here again on my next visit to Zhouzhuang."

"Not great value for money. I was driving through Kunshan and needed a place to stay for one night. I looked around and found Hualuxe (I'd stayed at one in Kunming and assumed it would be the same quality), so I booked it without hesitation. The underground parking felt a bit chaotic, and when I went upstairs to check in, the lobby was very noisy. There wasn't just one hotel reception desk; multiple hotels shared a single row. After finding the Hualuxe front desk and checking in, I went upstairs and noticed the elevators didn't require a key card to operate, which made me feel a bit uneasy about security. As I walked down the hallway, an unpleasant smell hit me. I thought it would be fine once I got into the room, but the room itself had a strong, musty, damp odor. The window was very high and blocked by a sofa, making it impossible to open. The biggest issue was that the duvet was completely damp (which is very unusual). Also, the swimming pool is shared with other hotels, so it was crowded, and the restrooms smelled terrible. On the plus side, the room was very spacious, the facilities were decent, and breakfast was quite extensive. The set meal for two at the Chinese restaurant on the second floor was prepared with great care and tasted delicious."

"Our stay at Zhouzhuang Zen Yili was absolutely wonderful—a perfect blend of comfort, warmth, and convenience! Taxi can dropped us off within 1 minute walking distance away from Zen Yili. Zhouzhuang ancient village entrance is just a few minutes walk from Zen Yili making it incredibly convenient for sightseeing and activities. The peaceful surroundings of the homestay also added to the relaxing vibe. The hosts, both husband and wife were exceptionally kind and gave us great local tips. They provided us more than enough fresh fruits, tea, biscuits and mineral water. I was surprised also that the room was with full mosquitoes nettings with even anti mosquitoes device provided if needed. During our stay the homestay and its surroundings ware without mosquitoes. The room was spotless, with fresh linens and a cozy atmosphere. The bathroom was of five star standard for its fittings, and was very well-maintained. Before we checked out, we were given delicious homemade biscuits out of their hospitality. They also arranged for us a reliable and comfortable pickup after checked out. For the price, this homestay offered excellent value. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to couples, families, or solo travelers looking for a peaceful retreat in Zhouzhuang ancient village."

"I took my high school kid here for a day off at the tail end of the holiday season. It was quick and convenient to get here from Shanghai. When I entered the hotel, I was told that the room type had been upgraded to a double bedroom, which was a real surprise. There were soft drinks and fruits in the room for us to enjoy, a huge sofa, and an exquisite little courtyard (the little snail had afternoon tea with us). It was so much fun to stay there for a day. There is also a granary that we can climb up in the hotel, as well as a Kunqu Opera art exhibition, and egrets by the lake. I especially want to mention the dinner in the hotel. Although it is a set meal, every dish is delicious. I look forward to coming again next time. It's great!"

"This guesthouse is really great! It has its own unique charm, the surroundings are beautiful, and it's super clean and tidy. A shuttle picked us up right at the parking lot, and it's only about a hundred meters from the scenic area entrance, making it incredibly convenient for getting around. The guesthouse also has its own restaurant, and the dishes are exquisitely prepared and taste amazing. Highly, highly recommend! 👍👍👍"

"Had a really enjoyable stay at Mulan Huayue Hotel during our visit to Zhouzhuang Ancient Town. The service was exceptional from start to finis. When we arrived, the staff came to pick us up from the admission gate and helped carry our luggage to the hotel, which was especially helpful since the old town streets can be a bit tricky with bags. We arrived before check-in time, and since the rooms were ready, the owner let us look at the available rooms and choose the one we preferred based on the view. It was a small gesture, but it made us feel very welcome. The location is also excellent. Since the hotel is located inside the ancient town itself, we could simply step outside and start exploring the canals, bridges, and old streets without needing any additional transport. It was especially nice to wander around early in the morning and at night when there were fewer crowds. The hotel also has two super cute cats that were always hanging around and made the place feel even more homely. We tried the hotel's restaurant and were impressed by the food. Our favorite dish was the 酸菜肉丝炒芦苇根, which was delicious and something we hadn't tried before. The food was slightly on the salty side for our taste, but overall we enjoyed everything we ordered. When it was time to head to our next hotel in Suzhou, the owner helped arrange a car for us (150 RMB). The driver was very knowledgeable and shared lots of interesting information along the way, which made the journey much more enjoyable. Another thing I appreciated was how attentive the owner was. When we ran out of drinking water, she personally brought three more bottles to our room without us having to ask multiple times. Overall, this was one of those places where you can really feel the warmth and hospitality of the owner. It made our stay in Zhouzhuang much more memorable, and I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again."
