"The B&B is close to the North Gate, so it was pretty easy to find. The owner even picked me up from Pingyao Ancient City Station late at night, which I really appreciated – it made my travel experience so much better. They carefully explained the locations of attractions and gave me a map. When I left, they even gave me some vinegar as a gift; they're incredibly warm and welcoming. Seriously, if you're coming to Pingyao, you should definitely stay here, haha! It's safe, clean, and the facilities are all there. For longer stays, they even proactively clean your room. The decor has a local flair too – who wouldn't want to try sleeping on a traditional heated 'kang' bed without any fuss? Thanks for everything, I'll definitely stay here again next time. Loved it, loved it!"

"The hotel reception staff, both the young men and women, were incredibly nice. From the moment I booked and added them on WeChat, they patiently guided me to the parking lot and explained the shuttle service. The attentive service upon arrival was truly impeccable. I stayed for three days, and no matter when I saw them, they always greeted me warmly. They were prompt and patient in resolving any issues. The overall environment is beautiful and boasts an antique charm. P.S. Perhaps because it's so beautiful, there were travel photographers non-stop from morning till night, which slightly affected my rest."

"This guesthouse is truly a hidden gem! The owner is a collector, and his wife is a non-heritage inheritor of Pingyao lacquerware. The guesthouse is filled with her exquisite lacquer artworks. We booked the Republic of China style suite, and it was absolutely stunning. Every detail was meticulously crafted, the room facilities were excellent, and both the bedding and toiletries were very satisfying. The service was incredibly warm and attentive, from the pick-up at the station to the full concierge service throughout our stay – super thoughtful. The breakfast was generous, and the best part was that there were no pre-made foods; it was well-balanced and nutritious. The freshly made wontons were delicious and beautifully presented. It's a shame we only stayed one night; next time, we'll definitely stay longer to experience the owner's wife's non-heritage craft workshop."

"I chose this B&B after reading reviews on Ctrip while on the direct bus from Datong Ancient City to Mount Wutai. The first 12 photos are all beautiful photos of the B&B taken by a handsome guy. 👍The last two photos were taken by a newbie, an old naughty boy. 😂It was our first time in our lives to have close contact with the earthen kang (kang bed). It was so much fun. 🤭The best thing was that we met the kind and lovely owner and his wife who picked us up. "Absolutely beautiful place to stay! The hotel is constituted with two glorious classical residences from Ming/Qing Dynasties, with rich and gorgeous original architectural details to wow any visitor. The front desk manager, Ms. Ah Fen was very kind and helpful. My host and contact, Miss Juan Er, was brilliant at all front, and also an extremely impressive tour guide on the history and trivials of the houses and their original occupiants. Wonderful experience!"
