"I recently stayed at Hotel du Vin Birmingham for one night, mainly because the location was very convenient for an event nearby. Unfortunately, the stay didn’t start well. When my partner arrived first, he noticed the room didn’t seem properly cleaned. We raised this with staff and were moved to another room on the third floor. Although this room felt cleaner, it still wasn’t spotless — the carpet on the stairs down to the bathroom clearly needed vacuuming, and there were two oil radiators switched on that made noise during the night.
On a positive note, the bed was comfortable, the room was spacious, and we appreciated the welcome drink vouchers for the bar downstairs. Overall, the stay was okay, but the beginning was disappointing. If we hadn’t had enough time before our New Year’s Eve party, moving rooms would have made us late, which added unnecessary stress."
