"For over 2,000 a night, the 'luxury sea view room' actually had its sea view blocked by a building. You can have a blocked view, but then it shouldn't be called a sea view room! The bathtub also had no cold water. My first day's experience was, in a word: terrible! They changed my room on the second day, which was much better. I came here because it was advertised as the 'ceiling of parent-child hotels in Lingshui,' but I'd suggest they go see how parent-child hotels in Zhuhai handle details. A playground should be a bonus after a parent-child hotel meets basic standards, not the *only* good thing that covers up other shortcomings."

"Before check-in, Summer proactively added me on WeChat to arrange the room. The hotel facilities and design feel a bit outdated. There weren't enough power outlets in the room, and the shower controls weren't clearly marked. However, the bedding and pillows were soft, and Summer promptly helped me switch to buckwheat pillows, which was great service! 👍 The hotel pool is large and has reasonable opening hours from 9 AM to 10 PM, giving plenty of time to enjoy it. Overall, it offers good value for money, and my stay was quite pleasant! 👍"

"The hotel more looks like a bed and breakfast than a 4 star hotel. The room we booked was really small, around 12 square meters. With a balcony outside to sit. However, the view does not worth sitting and many other neighbors are just checking you. The room itself was clean, but inside the community isn't very clean at all. Probably, the highest disappointment comes from the public swimming pool which is a really tiny swimming pool. Their swimming pool is around 2.5 meters to 2.5 meters. So if you're coming to have a nice swimming experience, don't even think about it in this hotel. We booked a room with breakfast included which was around 50 yuan more expensive than if we didn't want any breakfast. Let me be honest with you, their breakfast doesn't worth at all. There's no salad, no seasonal fruit, no bread, no coffee (broken coffee machine) and no desert. Forget all the things you can find in breakfast of normal 4 start hotel, It's just some dumplings, egg and simple corn which you can buy from any shop outside for less than 10 yuan all of them. Overall, the price doesn't fit the service you receive, specifically about the swimming pool and breakfast."

There were no numbers given out, nor were guests seated. It was a free-for-all to grab a table. If you couldn't find a seat, you'd end up holding your plate and waiting by a table for others to finish, creating a scene like a wet market. The cleaning staff walked around haphazardly, blocking guests, and showed no service awareness. They mopped the floor but didn't dry it. I personally witnessed a child slip on the wet floor and fall on the back of their head. At the waffle station, when I wanted to get more during cleanup, I found the tongs were gone. When I asked a staff member, ”Are there any tongs?” they glanced at me and said, ”No,” and offered no further assistance. 3. **Dinner Was Also Bad** Hotpot required booking a full hour in advance, which is impossible to manage flexibly with kids. The hotel's Chinese restaurant also had very poor reviews, so we didn't dare try it. For families who prefer to eat in the hotel, the dining options are very unaccommodating. 4. **Overall Service is Concerning** Aside from the polite housekeeping staff and a few front desk employees, the hotel largely lacked any discernible service. Restaurant staff were indifferent, and other departments showed no proactive service awareness. **In summary:** If you're looking for a cheap option with kids to see fireworks, you *could* consider it, but absolutely do not expect anything from the service or dining. The AC is insufficient, breakfast is chaotic, dinner booking is bizarre, and wet floors pose a safety hazard. I recommend either ordering takeout or eating out."

"Won't be returning to Westin. 1. They only provide two bath towels daily (most hotels offer more, don't they?). There's no evening turndown service to replenish towels. I had to call for a shower cap. Despite having a bathtub, there were no separate toiletries provided (am I supposed to walk through the bathroom to the shower and squeeze out soap there?). The most ridiculous part was the complete absence of body lotion. 2. When they cleaned the room, they left two bags of takeout trash. I ended up having to take them to the door myself before they were finally removed. 3. The phone wasn't plugged in, so initially, I thought it was broken. 4. There's no indoor pool, but there's a large outdoor one. You have to wear their provided socks/shoes to prevent cuts from tiles, which you can borrow and return for free – that's good. The grotto is quite pretty, and the two slides are fun. The staff watching over the pool are very responsible. However, here are some other issues: 1) Floats with patterns cost money to rent; the free ones are only the plainest solid blue or green. 2) The complimentary paddleboard experience is only 30 minutes, which barely leaves time for photos if you're actually paddling. 3) When I asked for directions at the pool, one person said they had just started working that day and knew nothing. Quietly, I thought, 'Can't they at least provide some training?' 5. During breakfast, half my food was cleared away when I went to get something else. Seriously, couldn't they put a 'do not disturb' sign on the table? Another day, I ate watermelon that was spoiled (overripe and sour-tasting). The manager explained that it was just 'ripe,' not 'bad'... Sorry, but I've never had strange-tasting watermelon at a five-star hotel. In my eyes, that's spoiled. 6. Almost all children's activities come with an additional charge."

"Agile community offers a decent guesthouse/hotel that's close to the sea. The front desk provides some complimentary items, but some are only single servings, like coffee and ice cream. While the service is fine, having just one portion of food items seems a bit unbalanced, haha. The commercial street is convenient, but prices at some shops are even noticeably higher than in Haitang Bay. For example, a classic McDonald's trio that usually costs 30 is sold for 54 here. McDonald's and Starbucks are usually good benchmark brands for comparison. In this regard, even though staying in Lingshui might offer better value for money generally, it's worth considering the daily expenses if you opt for a high-value regular hotel. From this perspective, for family travel, choosing a surrounding five-star hotel might actually offer better value in comparison."
