"I found the room to be exceptionally good, very clean, and completely odor-free. The restrooms and shower areas were cleaned daily. The location is absolutely fantastic, and I loved it. I really hope to stay here again on my next visit and will definitely recommend it to more people. It's just so convenient and efficient. The location here is excellent. I especially want to commend them for their 'no loud noises after 11 PM' policy and for ensuring a quiet environment overall – they do a superb job with that."

"Everything else was great. My only suggestion would be about the long-term resident, an old man from Shanghai, who constantly lectures every new guest about retirement benefits, repeating himself hundreds of times a day. We're here to travel, not to attend a class. The last thing you want when traveling is an old man at the hostel lecturing endlessly."

"During the Chinese New Year, when everything else was exorbitantly priced, they stuck to their principles, offering very affordable rates. The atmosphere was great, making it perfect for backpackers, students, and solo travelers. It's easy to meet new people here. Ideal for budget travel, short trips, saving money, and those who enjoy a lively environment. Not only is the setting good, but the owner is incredibly warm and welcoming. As soon as I arrived with my heavy luggage, he came out to greet me. After checking in, he even helped me carry my bags to my dorm room – super friendly! If you prefer peace and quiet, head up to the small bar on the rooftop. It's a common area that's usually pretty empty, but you can catch a stunning view of the 'sun-kissed golden mountains' (sunrise over snow-capped peaks). The scenery is also beautiful, and they have two adorable cats – one is a bit greedy, and the other is nice and plump, hehehe. There's another common area with plenty of gym equipment you can use freely. Plus, you can leave your mark on the wall upstairs, which feels really meaningful! 😜"

"I had the most lovely stay. The hosts welcomed me with open arms (I even got a little Christmas present!) and I became part of a vibrant and lovely hostel community real quick. The common meals and evening activities like karaoke and pool make it easy. Even I don't speak a word of Chinese (and hosts and guests did only speak little English), we managed to communicate and ended up spending all days together, went on trips and on an awesome hike. They really made me feel at home. Only thing to notice: there is no heating and common areas are mostly open spaces. So it can get a bit chilly during the cold season..."

"I highly recommend this hostel for solo travelers visiting Lijiang. If you're too tired to trek to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain for sunrise, you can climb a ladder from the balcony to the rooftop in the morning to catch the ”Golden Mountain in the Sun” – no need to go all the way there and back, haha! It's super close to the Old Town, less than 1 km away, so it's perfect for an evening stroll. If you have some free time, you can also head to Black Dragon Pool for another stunning view of the sunrise on the mountain. This hostel feels like it's the closest one to Black Dragon Pool Park, which is free and gets quite busy in the mornings. The hostel owner is a great guy; he's always ready to help with any requests. You'll often see him cleaning rooms and tidying the courtyard during the day – he's really meticulous about cleanliness. The balcony is huge, perfect for sunbathing. I noticed all the sheets and duvet covers were drying, so each bed definitely gets fresh linens 😂. I had such a good stay that I extended for several days. I'll definitely be back next time!"

"This place is a hidden gem. The family running it is incredibly warm and made me, a solo female traveler, feel completely at home. Dinner is homemade, shared with everyone, and costs only 30 yuan!! an absolute steal for so many delicious dishes. After dinner, the owner even took us for a lovely stroll through Lijiang old town. My roommates were quiet and polite, which made for a peaceful stay. The family invited me for tea many times and even taught me some Chinese. They also have a hiking guide if interested. I ended up extending my stay and will definitely come back."

"The girls are super friendly! The guests and the store manager get along well, and it's very pleasant to talk and laugh. Everyone will also share their experiences and travel suggestions. The room is tidy, and the bathroom shower is almost spotless when light-colored tiles are easy to get dirty. Every day you can see the owner's sister running around to clean up. Close to the ancient city of Lijiang, it feels like a hidden gem in the city. It is within walking distance to the bus station, which is accessible to all directions and has very convenient transportation. The environment in the courtyard is beautiful, and the owner's sister has a garden full of flowers and plants, plus the mild climate in Yunnan near summer, which is a scene in itself.
