Okay, okay, okay, okay.
Facilities: Alright.
Hygiene: Each to their own.
Environment: Average.
Service: Average. It's just too humid, not just a little humid, but it feels like you could wring water out of the air.

Facilities: Quite new. You have to go outside to get water, but thankfully it's not far.
Cleanliness: Clean, and housekeeping was prompt, they cleaned every day.
Environment: Very quiet surroundings, suitable for those who need peace and quiet.
Service: There's a shuttle bus service.
I deducted one star because right after checking out, the WiFi stopped working. That was a bit frustrating, especially since I was still waiting for my ride at the hotel.

Apologies for the super late review, over a month late – I completely forgot…
First, the conclusion: This place offers amazing value for money, but if you're going to a concert, you absolutely need to leave early.
I stayed for three days and never once managed to get on their free shuttle bus. It comes from another hostel, and whenever I needed it, it was always full – no chance of getting on… In the end, I walked for half an hour to catch the public bus every time.
The room itself was fine; very comfortable for one person. However, since it's a prefab structure, there's zero soundproofing. You can hear kids crying from the next building throughout the entire complex. If you're a light sleeper, this could be quite annoying, but I was fine – I was so exhausted after showering that I just passed out, haha!
Oh, and I have to praise the power strip! The one provided in the room was compatible with mainland plugs, so I didn't need to bring my own adapter, which was fantastic!

On my third night here, I really appreciated how convenient this hotel is. There are tons of food options right downstairs, and the nearest McDonald's is open 24/7, which was perfect for a late-night snack when I was craving a Shogun Burger! The next day, it was super quick to get to Kai Tak for a movie – only two stops away. After the movie, I enjoyed a lovely stroll nearby, it was incredibly relaxing!

I booked this hotel for a concert, but it's a bit of a walk to both Kai Tak and the MTR station. They do have a shuttle service to the high-speed rail station and Tsim Sha Tsui on the hour. Although the room was small, it was quite comfortable, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. However, the surroundings of the hotel aren't great; it's in a residential area, and the local shops have poor service attitudes and close very early. If you're not going to Kai Tak, there's really nothing to do nearby.

This was my second stay, and I'm very satisfied. It's not far from the subway station, and I got upgraded to a sea-view room. It was really nice to take a walk in the seaside park. The front desk staff were warm and polite. I'll definitely stay here again if the price is right.

The rooms are clean and tidy, the bedding is comfortable, and the soundproofing is excellent, ensuring a peaceful rest. The front desk service is warm and attentive, and check-in was quick and efficient. Housekeeping was prompt, and the facilities are complete and well-maintained, offering great value for money. The overall environment is quiet and elegant, with thoughtful touches. It's suitable for both business trips and leisure travel. I would definitely choose to stay here again next time and highly recommend it to everyone!

For this price in Hong Kong, it's pretty good. If you're on a very tight budget, especially during the May Day holiday when hotels in Kowloon and Hong Kong Island can go for thousands, you can get a room here for around 200 HKD. The only downside is the slightly remote location, but that's okay. There's a free shuttle bus until 9 PM. To catch it, exit Kai Tak MTR Station at exit A, walk back a short distance, then turn left for about 50 meters to the Muk On Street bus stop (see image for exact location). If it's past 9 PM, you can take bus 22D and walk a bit. The free shuttle drops you off at gate 5, where you'll see the orange little house for check-in. The space is quite large for Hong Kong standards. It's a former quarantine facility, but don't worry, many locals and students on study tours also stay here, and hygiene is not an issue. There's a hairdryer, but you'll need to bring your own toothbrush, towels, and comb. There are no convenience stores nearby, but there are vending machines selling bottled water, instant noodles, and daily necessities. A taxi to the airport from here costs around 200 HKD and takes about 40 minutes. Overall, if you're transiting through Hong Kong for a flight or attending a concert, staying here is very cost-effective.

I've stayed here before, and I'm a bit biased – getting this price on a weekend is a steal. I almost don't want this hotel to get too popular because prices might go up! It's a hotel I really love and a must-stay whenever I visit Hong Kong. It's also super close to Kowloon City, which is great for Thai food.
The Harbour Plaza Metropolis is conveniently located in the heart of Kowloon near the Hung Hom MTR Station. Providing easy access to the transportation network and the New Territories, the hotel is also minutes from the shopping areas of Tsim Sha Tsui. In-room amenities include a safe and an attached bathroom with a shower cubicle.Guests may also choose from a range of dining options within the hotel including Chinese, Japanese and Western cuisines. Business travelers staying on the Harbour Club floor may access the Harbour Club, which provides views of Victoria Harbour and offers complimentary Wi-Fi, local telephone calls and refreshments.Sweeping views of Victoria Harbour can be enjoyed from the pool. There is also a gym where guests get a refreshing workout. Guests looking for relief from the rigors of the day will find relaxation in the sauna.

The hotel's air conditioning really needs a good clean. My travel companion has a sensitive nose and wasn't feeling great. Thanks to the front desk staff for the suite upgrade! Also, it's nice that you can decide on the spot if you want to add the breakfast buffet.
One thing I'd like to point out: The restaurant staff didn't pay attention to whether guests had finished eating before leaving. They cleared all my food away, and I had to go get new items, which was inconvenient!

ЕЕлена БунькоThis was my first visit to Hong Kong. I was aware of the common perception that hotel rooms here tend to be very small and that larger, quality hotels come at a high price. I was therefore pleasantly surprised to find that this hotel offers spacious rooms, modern decor, and good cleanliness. Together with its convenient location, it fully met our needs. I would highly recommend it.
GGuest UserExcellent location - footsteps away from the airport express bus stop and plenty of food around. Clean but tight if you have more than 1 large suitcase, though they have space under the bed for a medium suitcase. Would definitely recommend and stay again in the future.
LlamlllThe hotel is nestled at the foot of the mountain, offering a tranquil environment away from the hustle and bustle of areas near MTR stations. However, it's about a 20-minute walk to Central/Admiralty MTR stations, or a 6-7 minute taxi ride (around HKD 20-35). We were assigned a room on the 28th floor facing Central, and the view was absolutely stunning. We had a complete panoramic view of the Hong Kong Zoological and Botanical Gardens, the US Consulate, the Peak Tram Terminus, Government House, and even the distant Bank of China Tower, Standard Chartered Bank Building, and IFC.
The staff were all very warm, friendly, and accommodating. They even helped bring up our food deliveries to the room. The room cleanliness was excellent. The soundproofing, however, was average; we could hear louder noises from upstairs and next door. In the mornings, we could also hear the birds chirping from the Zoological and Botanical Gardens below. The bathroom didn't have a bathtub, but there was a kitchen available for cooking.
Overall, I highly recommend this hotel, especially if you're looking for something a bit more unique. Compared to 5-star and 4-star hotels near MTR stations, this place offers a really good stay.
GGuest UserThe room is on the smaller side, and so is the bathroom (see photo), though the king-size bed is decent (see photo). Amenities include a mini-fridge and a safe. If I had to nitpick, the toilet is a bit old-fashioned, not a smart one, and I'd suggest providing paper toilet seat covers (see photo). On the plus side, the hotel is conveniently located at Tuen Mun MTR, easily accessible from Exit A or F, which is very helpful for travelers unfamiliar with the area.
貓貓仙人I recently stayed at this hotel, and the exceptional service truly blew me away. From the very moment I checked in, the front desk staff welcomed me with genuine warmth and professionalism, making me feel at home instantly.
Every team member I encountered went above and beyond to ensure my comfort. The concierge provided fantastic local recommendations, and the housekeeping team kept my room absolutely immaculate throughout my entire stay. It is rare to find such a dedicated and attentive team that anticipates every guest's need with a smile. Their outstanding hospitality transformed a great holiday into an unforgettable experience. I highly recommend this hotel and cannot wait to return!
NNicolaLee99The room was clean, equipped with a fridge, and located in a fairly quiet area. Every day, they provided a pitcher of filtered water, along with towels, body wash, shampoo, hand soap, slippers, and a toothbrush with toothpaste. Other amenity kits (like the sewing kit or shower cap) were available for a fee
NNomijI am writing this based on my experience. We all have different opinions, and satisfactions. So overall for me is a 10/10 experience, its near at the mtr, busses and taxi’s. Also, a place comfy enough to sleep with. On our 8 days and 7 nights experience, we never encounter any difficulties or problems. The Aircon (AC), heater, lights, and flush are working. If you are going on a vacation here at HK, and looking for a place that is comfortable to sleep with. Few walks, from the hostel to MTR station, and your destination. Its also, near at K11 Mall, and victoria harbour which make this hostel a good option. And also, the fist day, we noticed the notes and its kinda witty, and we loved it 😂. It doesn’t matter to us, what our hostel looks like, as long as it was nice and comfortable to stay with. Note: If you didn’t receive and towels, you’re out of plastics, tissue. DON’T hesitate to message them (they are nice and friendly) and ask for it. If i’ll go back again, I’ll probably choose this hostel! I’m writing this right while riding the bus, and some of you may not care. Anyways, the date is April 30, 2026. Very Recent. Good price, good experience. ❤️
GGuest UserWe was looking for hotel that was centralised to wherever we are looking (Disneyland, Ocean park etc) and we decided to look for hotel at Prince Edward or Mongkok then we found Starphire hotel. The price was affordable and room was clean, just that need about 10mins walk from Prince Edward MTR (Come out from Exit C left side out, keep walk straight till near underneath second highway or have to turn, then turn right and continue walking till see hotel, besides it is ”The Cloud”). Coffee and water was provided 24/7 at level 3 besides check in counter. Breakfast which was bread will be given if go to level 3 in the morning. Overall, it was a pleasant Stay and is happy to revisit if got chance.
BbeibeiloveseaComing to Hong Kong this time, I searched for many hotels on Trip.com, but most rooms were tiny and the facilities were outdated. I finally decided to stay at the Best Western Plus Hotel Hong Kong, and as soon as I entered, I was blown away by the sea-view room on the first floor with a large balcony! Stepping out, you're greeted by an endless expanse of clear blue sea – the view is absolutely stunning! 🌊
At night, I enjoyed the sea breeze on the balcony, watching the starry sky, eating fruit, and having drinks. It was so relaxing I didn't want to leave. Getting around from the hotel is super convenient; there's a free shuttle bus directly to the MTR station, making it easy to go shopping, explore, and try out all the amazing local food.
The buffet breakfast was a bit simple, so don't have high expectations. Once you're near the MTR station, there are so many Hong Kong delicacies that you'll wish you had more stomachs to try them all.
The hotel offers a peaceful retreat amidst the hustle and bustle, with a healing sea view and excellent value for money. The experience was fantastic, and it's definitely on my must-stay list for my next visit to Hong Kong. I'll definitely be back!
MMax_Nicole_When I booked I didn't knew it was in the Chungking Mansion. Its know as the ghetto. Let's start with the good thing. It has a great location, close to everything. The problem is that Chungking mansion is a massive appartement complex and has a streetmarket down. It is really unsafe according to fire safety. Everything has dust and I got really claustrophobic. The first night I didn't sleep cause I was scared of getting trapped in case of a fire.
The cover of the bed was really dirty and had body liquid stains and fungus. So I end up sleeping under my disposable towel. I would have really want to go to another appartement, but I already paid really much money and a better place would have even cost way more money.
Some top places to stay in Hong Kong are near popular attractions like Tsim Sha Tsui, Central and Hong Kong Disneyland—so you can quickly get to top landmarks and amenities you need.
