The hotel location was good, we can easily get to the near by shops and food spots. The front desk wasn’t really helpful because we asked them about the massage spots nearby for them to recommend, and they weren’t sure and don’t know anything about it. We booked none smoking room but we can always smelled smoke and don’t know from where. The front desk doesn’t seem like welcome or was not that helpful in my opinion, but housekeeper are very friendly and nice.

This hotel is in an excellent location, just a few minutes' walk from the train station. It was super convenient to check in right after getting off the train, drop off our luggage, and then head out to explore after a short rest.
The room was spotlessly clean with no strange odors, and the bedding was neat and comfortable. Overall, it offers great value for money and is definitely my top choice for future trips. Front desk staff, 07 and 17, provided excellent service. I'll definitely stay here again!
The most pleasant surprise was the free swimming pool – it felt like a 5-star standard! In a prime location like downtown Shanghai, where every inch is precious, this hotel offers incredible value.

It's pretty close to the subway station, and the hotel sign is conveniently located right at the intersection. You go up to the second floor (there's an elevator) to check in, and surprisingly, the front desk and restaurant are in the same area. It took about 12 minutes to get from my room to the business waiting room at Shanghai Station, so it's super close.
I haven't stayed at a HUAZHU hotel much before. For breakfast, you have to follow their official account and agree to a user agreement, which was a first for me and left a bad initial impression. However, the young lady who checked me in had a great attitude. It wasn't her rule, but she apologized for the delay and helped me choose a room according to my notes.
The room attendant was very nice. The minibar only had water, sugar-free Coke, and orange soda – no still drinks – so I asked for two extra bottles of water. There was a high-frequency buzzing sound coming from somewhere, so I called another lady to help me pinpoint the source, and her attitude was also excellent.
Breakfast didn't have a huge selection, but it had the essentials, plus some interesting additions like a noodle-making machine, Oden, and egg pancakes. However, I didn't find much that I particularly liked.
The cleaning staff (the same person who gave me water on check-in day, I think, I'm bad with faces) was very proactive. I just asked them to take out the trash, but they also scrubbed the toilet, changed the used face towels, and replenished the water. Their attitude was fantastic. For subsequent cleanings, they were also very proactive in finding ways to help me. Big thumbs up – this was the most 'human' and attentive cleaning staff I've ever encountered (I was on the 10th floor, highly recommend them).
My itinerary was uncertain, and they readily granted my request for a late checkout until 2 PM.
During another extended stay, I tried the front desk's homemade drinks, and they were quite good.
For my further extension during the Dragon Boat Festival, I was too lazy to go down for breakfast in the morning. When I extended, Manager Nian Nian told me they had Zongzi (rice dumplings) today, so I got two sweet ones, which were delicious. The lovely lady from the 10th floor was off that day, and if I recall correctly, the lady from the 9th floor came instead – her attitude was also super good. That evening, I took a shower, and the water pressure was just right, the temperature stable. The sink was deep enough to easily wash clothes, and it was a rare bathroom that didn't have a transparent or semi-transparent wall.
On the 22nd, when I extended again, a different cleaning lady came, and she was incredibly meticulous and had an excellent attitude. I heard on the phone that she was cleaning another room at the time, so I suggested changing the cleaning time. It was only a few minutes later that I heard the cart and opened the door, asking her to clean then. She kept apologizing for my wait, and later, when we met in the elevator, she even proactively pressed the floor button for me.
Upon checkout, I even received some small snacks as a gift.

This time, my family and I stayed in an Executive Suite at the Pullman Shanghai Jing An. First off, the hotel's location is incredibly convenient. It's right near Shanghai Railway Station, so if you're coming by high-speed rail, you're there in just five minutes after exiting the station. There's also Metro Line 1 right outside, about 50 meters away, making it easy to get to many famous Shanghai attractions. The suite consists of a bedroom and a living room, which was more than enough space for our family. The living room has a sofa bed that unfolds into a small bed, which was very practical. The room itself was clean and tidy, with complete amenities, and the kids really enjoyed the screen-mirroring TV. The front desk service was excellent, both during check-in and check-out. We'll definitely stay here again.

Boasting extremely convenient transportation, it offers a pleasant environment and a comfortable free journey for every guest.
Yitel is like a beautiful melody played by Chinese and Western musical instruments. It is just like wandering along a forest path, listening to the gurgling stream, cleansing the dust and weariness of the soul.

The location is great, near to many famous food places and shopping district. However, the hotel room is small, bathroom is small too. The room has a smell of mouldy air con, or clothes not dried with sun kind of smell that lingered for long. They don’t change bedsheets or blanket covers unless requested (we stayed five nights). And after night 3 I requested cos it was dirty. Ordering food and collection of Taobao parcels were easy. Service staff were friendly. So all they need is really a Reno I guess. Oh there is no drop off area for hotel so getting on cabs or didi was a bit difficult but doable.

Amazing location in the heart of the pedestrian street. Easy to walk around see sights and get food. The room is smaller than expected but enough for one person. There’s a bit of a smell sometimes in the bathroom, maybe from the drain. Has enough amenities and generally clean.

Excellent
HHuifeidejinyuerThe B&B has adorable little bunnies you can feed, and in the evening, we sat in the courtyard chatting and even saw the Disneyland fireworks! 🎆 The Chinese breakfast spread was quite generous, and they even had freshly ground coffee ☕️. The surroundings are peaceful, and they offer shuttle service to Disneyland. Overall, it was a very satisfying stay, and we'll definitely be back this summer.
GGuest UserWe stayed with two children, and they upgraded us to a Little Yellow Duck themed room, which the kids absolutely loved.
The complimentary scheduled shuttle service was a thoughtful touch. On our first day, we wanted to go to Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street. Just as we were about to call a taxi, the shuttle driver told us he could take us directly and advised us not to bother with a taxi, which was super convenient.
Heartwarming late-night snack: We could enjoy a late-night snack after returning to the hotel. They offered mini wontons and mixed noodles. The mini wontons were delicious, and the kids really enjoyed them.
Cleanliness: Overall, it was excellent!
Minibar all-you-can-drink: There were sodas, and for the kids, oat milk and cookies. The cookies were incredibly tasty!
Ordering takeout was also very convenient, with a robot delivering it directly to the room.
Another shout-out to the hotel: I accidentally booked an extra room on another platform but forgot about it. The hotel proactively contacted me, which was very considerate, and they even refunded me in the end. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for family travel.
DDjay1231I specifically chose this hotel for my trip, and my experience after checking in was absolutely fantastic, earning it a heartfelt five-star rating. Penny's reception was superb! She even prepared a birthday card, room decorations, and a cake.
The hotel's location is excellent, with convenient access to transportation in all directions, making it exceptionally easy for sightseeing, shopping, dining, or commuting for business. Upon entering the lobby, you're greeted by an elegant ambiance; the overall decor is grand yet tasteful, and the public areas are consistently clean and tidy, making a great first impression.
The front desk staff are professional and enthusiastic. Both check-in and check-out processes were efficient and quick, with no unnecessary waiting. When asking for directions or seeking assistance, everyone was patient and meticulous in their replies, treating guests with humility and politeness, showcasing their high service standards in every detail. The guest rooms are spacious with excellent natural light and ventilation, and the soundproofing is very effective, providing a quiet retreat despite being in a busy area. Room hygiene was impeccable; tabletops, floors, and bathroom corners were all spotless, with no hidden dirty spots.
The bedding is soft and comfortable, and the mattress has just the right firmness. After a day of travel, lying down quickly helps you relax, leading to excellent sleep quality. The room is fully equipped with various facilities; appliances and bathroom amenities are well-maintained and provide an excellent user experience. The hotel's overall atmosphere is warm and pleasant; from the hardware facilities to the soft services, you can feel the thoughtfulness in every detail. My entire stay was comfortable and worry-free, and every aspect was flawless. This excellent hotel has already been added to my top choices, and I will definitely stay here again on my next visit. I sincerely recommend it to all fellow travelers.
AAnonymous UserI originally booked a Deluxe River View Room at The Peninsula, but to my pleasant surprise, I received a complimentary upgrade to a River View Suite! What an amazing bonus! The suite offered a stunning, expansive view directly overlooking the beautiful Bund, creating a fantastic ambiance. The hotel's service was meticulous and attentive, the facilities were top-notch, and the environment was serene and elegant. During the holiday season, I even received some delightful complimentary treats. The whole experience was absolutely fantastic – truly a benchmark in luxury.
GGuest UserThis was my first time staying at this hotel, and my overall experience truly exceeded expectations. I initially chose it just for its downtown location, but I was pleasantly surprised by everything from the ambiance to the views. [coffee][coffee][coffee]
I stayed in the Bund View Junior Suite, and the most striking impression was the absolutely superb view and stunning night scenery. The bay window in the room was truly the highlight; the view was expansive and unobstructed. Sitting by the window, you could look directly at the Huangpu River and the Oriental Pearl TV Tower. During the day, you could clearly see the scattered city buildings of Lujiazui, creating a fantastic atmosphere. Once night fell and the city lights came on, the entire cityscape was visible – the dazzling river view and the clear city nightscape were all laid out before you. There's no need to specially crowd onto the Bund for sightseeing; you can enjoy Shanghai's top-tier night view right from your bed or the bay window, peaceful and therapeutic. It's also perfect for photos, which instantly made me fall in love with this room.
The hotel's location is absolutely unbeatable, a prime downtown spot. There are numerous subway lines nearby, offering excellent connectivity. Whether you're heading to the Bund, Nanjing Road, Yu Garden, or various business districts and attractions, getting around is incredibly convenient, significantly cutting down on travel time. For those visiting Shanghai, this excellent location is a huge plus, making dining, entertainment, shopping, and travel all very easy. The location advantage is truly maximized.
During my stay, I noticed that the hotel's facilities were well-suited to travel needs, with great attention to detail. The hotel's smart robot delivery service was incredibly convenient; you could request anything with a single click, and the robot would quickly deliver it to your room, saving time and hassle – a great smart experience. What pleased me most was the hotel's complimentary laundry room and gym, which are truly essential for guests staying away from home. After a tiring journey, you can easily exercise to relax and also wash and dry your clothes promptly. This is very thoughtful and greatly enhanced the comfort and value for money of my stay.
Even more commendable was the hotel's service: polite, attentive, and prompt throughout. As soon as I arrived, a concierge staff member proactively approached to help with my luggage. The service was initiative and warm, making me feel very comfortable. The service throughout was not deliberate or perfunctory, striking just the right balance, gentle and thorough, without stiff formalities, conveying a very sincere attitude towards guests.
Overall, my first stay experience was perfect. The room environment was clean and comfortable, the night view was top-notch, the location was excellent, transportation was super convenient, smart facilities were comprehensive, the accompanying laundry room and gym were extremely practical, and the staff service was very attentive. It's perfectly suited for couples, friends exploring, or business travelers on short stays. It has silently been added to my go-to list for Shanghai, and I will definitely choose to stay here again next time I visit Shanghai!
VvictorouThis hotel's location is absolutely top-tier among Shanghai's luxury hotels! Housed in the historic No. 2 Bund building, it boasts a century of history, directly overlooking the Huangpu River, and is right in the city center. It completely outshines newer hotels in Lujiazui and Jing'an in terms of both historical charm and convenience. What truly impressed me was the service – Aaron, Coco, and Emily from the concierge team were incredibly attentive throughout my stay. That's definitely a huge plus!
GGuest UserHad everything we needed, for the price paid. Very comfortable stay and I thought it was worth it. Close to where we needed to be. It was hard to find from the address but it was nice regardless and surrounding area was very chill and in a more local area. I don't have an image of the hotel itself but I have pictures of surrounding area and the street where room was.
네네르하I stayed at W Shanghai with my family and had a wonderful experience.
The location is excellent, and the twin-bed room was spacious enough for my child and me to stay comfortably. Although the hotel is a little away from People’s Square and Nanjing Road, it is connected to a shopping mall, which makes dining and shopping very convenient.
Most importantly, my wife and child were very satisfied with the hotel. The room was clean, modern, and well-maintained, making it a great choice for families.
The staff were extremely friendly, professional, and spoke English very well. Check-in and check-out were smooth and hassle-free.
There are also Starbucks and Luckin Coffee nearby, ㅣwhich was very convenient for grabbing a coffee.
I would highly recommend this hotel for both family vacations and business trips, and I would definitely stay here again on my next visit to Shanghai.
GGuest UserThe location is fantastic, right in the city center, making it super convenient to get around. There are shared bikes right downstairs too. The room was really clean, and the service was excellent. Overall, I had a great stay! Any issues we had with the room were quickly handled by the hotel staff. Plus, it's close to all the popular attractions.
GGuest UserThe place is quite nice and homey. There’s a lot of cookwares and kitchen utensils, also smart projector for entertainment. The place is easy to find, even though we need to walk a quiet distance from the nearest station. Still reachable though. There’s also many stores, cafes, and restaurants nearby. The hosts are very helpful and professional. I would recommend to stay here bcs it offers excellent value for money…
