Pros: The room was quite spacious for Shanghai and well thought. The shower unit with small sink is separated from the toilet. Water pressure is ok. The beds were comfortable. The room was cleaned everyday. The hotel is situated in strategic location but expected to walk around 12-15 min to the nearest metro station.
Cons: The infrastructure doesn't look that old but it won't age well for example so parts were falling out as the outlet cover after one use. We went end of March/beginning of April and the A/C unit/central unit wasn't ready so we couldn't use it which means that the room temperature is constantly around 25/30°C during the day even with windows opened. The staff is really passive during check-in no explanation for how to use the eleveator that are in the buidling next door. Some renovation works were happening during our stay and we were never informed properly ahead such as the laundry room being moved to another floor or the main hall being blocked so you have to use another entry.

The location is excellent! There's a supermarket right next door which is super convenient, plus a few restaurants. It's also very close to Jiaotong University and all sorts of shopping malls are in the vicinity, so it's really handy. You can easily catch a ride right outside the entrance. The service from the young man was also very good. Overall, it's pretty decent.

The location is indeed excellent and very convenient for getting around, which is its biggest advantage. However, the experience in other aspects was rather mediocre, and I hope they can improve.
The breakfast is 69 yuan per person, which isn't cheap, but the variety is limited. It's basically the same few items every day, and they're not replenished promptly. If you go a bit later, some dishes are already empty. The chefs at the noodle and wonton stations were quite aloof, which wasn't a great experience.
The room cleaning felt a bit haphazard. Upon closer inspection, there were many neglected spots with visible dust and hair. One of the power outlets was broken, and it wasn't fixed even after reporting it, which was inconvenient.
The parking lot barrier isn't automatic. Every time we entered or exited, the driver had to honk several times before the front desk heard and opened it. It was quite a hassle each time.
For this price and location, I really hope they can improve the facilities and service details, otherwise, it's truly a shame.

This was my best experience in a hotel in China. Everyone was so nice!! I should go back to SH every year and I think I'll stay there again and again!!
The hotel rooms and suites are located on the 6th to 12th floors of Shanghai Stadium. The overall design ingeniously combines the spirit of sports with the elegant and refined travel concept of the Radisson brand. Some rooms, thanks to their prime location, offer a panoramic view of the entire stadium, providing guests with an extraordinary experience during events and performances. Rooms facing Xujiahui Sports Park offer a pleasant view of the urban oasis. The Immersion Room is unique, equipped with advanced audio-visual facilities.1. Metro: Take Line 1 or Line 4 to Shanghai Stadium Station and exit from Exit 2. (1) Walk into the hotel through Gate 2 of Xujiahui Sports Park; (2) After exiting, walk straight to reach Gate 3 of Xujiahui Sports Park. You can then contact the hotel's golf cart shuttle service (operating hours: 08:00 to 22:00).2. Self-driving: Use navigation to reach Gate 3 of Xujiahui Sports Park on Lingling Road (the entrance is at the intersection of Lingling Road and Sanjiaodong Street, facing Sanjiaodong Street). After arriving, please drop off at the hotel's B1 underground garage and park your vehicle in Parking Lot 3 on the left side of Gate 3 entrance.3. Taxi or Ride-hailing: Directly locate Gate 3 of Xujiahui Sports Park on Lingling Road and ask the driver to drop you off at the B1 drop-off area of the hotel.

The deluxe king room was incredibly spacious, probably around 40-50 square meters, which is a rare find in expensive Shanghai. The 94 Kitchen on the first floor served delicious food. Nearby, Hong Ruixing offered tasty chicken soup wontons, plain noodles, and pan-fried buns – all popular with locals and seemingly a long-standing establishment. The hotel is right next to Xujiahui Sports Park, so in the mornings you can see many Shanghai residents out for a run. Some rooms even offer views of the football stadium. Getting around was convenient. The hotel isn't directly on a main road, which was perfect for me as a light sleeper. I'll definitely choose this place again on my next visit to Shanghai. It lacks the hustle and bustle of Nanjing Road but is still lively, offering a peaceful retreat in a busy area – very comfortable!

The room layout was well-designed and functional, spotlessly clean. I especially loved the bathroom area; the spot for grabbing clothes, then right out to the mirror and soft stool for drying hair – the flow was incredibly well-thought-out. There's also a large space opposite the sofa, perfect for luggage.
The location is fantastic too, right next to Xujiahui Metro Line 1 station. Grand Gateway 66, Metro City, and Xujiahui Library are all within easy walking distance.
The hotel's breakfast and late-night supper options were good, and the welcome fruit selection was rich and high-quality. Plus, breakfast extends until 11 AM on holidays, which is a huge bonus.
My only minor gripe is that it would be even better if the two elevators were a bit faster; waiting times could be quite long unless you happened to catch one just arriving.
Otherwise, everything was excellent and highly recommended! 👍🏻
**Welcome Goodie Basket - 'Greedy Cat's Basket':** Crisps, tea, juice, bottled water.
**Late-Night Supper:** Noodles, wontons, congee.
**Welcome Fruits:** Shine Muscat grapes, cherries, blueberries, apples, nectarines, cherry tomatoes – a rich variety and delicious too.

A hotel recommended by a friend in Shanghai, and it exceeded my expectations. From the bellhops to the front desk staff and housekeeping, everyone was proactive and enthusiastic. The room was very new, the bed was super comfortable, and all the details were well thought out. The bathroom even had a retractable clothesline, which was really convenient for drying delicates. There were also plenty of mirrors – handy when you needed one, but not intrusive when you didn't. The hotel garden was beautiful, and there's a bus stop right outside. Plus, it's quite close to Hongqiao Airport. I'll definitely be staying here again next time.

My company is nearby, so I’ve stayed here several times when I needed to work late or arrive early. I've watched this place evolve from slow internet and no robot delivery to fast internet, robot service, and even bellboys helping with luggage.
I’ve tried most of their room types. If you’re on a budget, a standard single room is fine for one person. If you have a bit more to spend, consider the deluxe king room. They even have a package for a king room for just over 700 for two nights, but you have to book it immediately without hesitation. The front desk told me this room type is very popular and sells out quickly.
Jianguo is a well-established brand, and I believe it was one of the first hotels to cater to international guests. So, the rooms are well-equipped with all the basic amenities, though I'd suggest they add body lotion. After midnight, the rooms are incredibly quiet; you won't hear AC or shower noises, and the hallways are peaceful. This is crucial for light sleepers. If you need anything, just call the front desk, and they’ll have housekeeping bring it up. You can also directly tell housekeeping how you’d like your room cleaned.
Overall, it's pretty good. It’s in a prime downtown location, making dining, shopping, and transportation very convenient. I’ve been very satisfied with my stays. My only regret is that despite staying so many times, I’ve never tried their breakfast. I'll definitely come back to stay again, and I'll make sure to try it then.

My stay at the Fairfield by Marriott Shanghai Xuhui exceeded my expectations. The location is incredibly convenient, right next to the Xujiahui commercial area. It's about an 8-minute walk to the subway station, and there are plenty of restaurants and convenience stores nearby. The hotel lobby is clean and bright, and the staff were very efficient. During check-in, they thoughtfully reminded me about breakfast times and the parking location. Although the room wasn't huge, the layout was very practical, the bedding was comfortable, and the bathroom had a great wet/dry separation with excellent shower pressure. What impressed me most was the high standard of cleanliness – even the windowsill and light switches were spotless. The staff were truly excellent, with great service attitudes and a genuine care for guests.

I have to give a shout-out to the front desk staff! Their service was incredibly thoughtful throughout my stay. They were so friendly and patient, and always responded quickly to any last-minute requests for help. Truly professional and kind. The clean and comfortable environment combined with the fantastic front desk service made this a perfect stay. I'll definitely be back!

CCiky2023Our romantic winter getaway began the moment we stepped into Dino Starry Resort, immediately feeling a warm welcome. Unlike a typical hotel's impersonal atmosphere, the staff here felt like old friends, making us feel right at home and completely relaxed.
Getting to Disneyland was a breeze with their Mercedes shuttle, which departed at our pre-arranged time. Breakfast was plentiful, and our room was spotless and tidy. The overall environment was lovely, and there were even small animals in the backyard that we could feed for free.
The biggest surprise, though, was experiencing authentic winter fun. We gathered around a traditional earthen pot stove, warming ourselves and chatting, or enjoyed a steaming hotpot cooked in a vintage hanging pot. On sunny days, we even had a lively outdoor BBQ with plenty of smoke and laughter. From the rustic charm of the earthen pot to the nostalgic feel of the hanging pot and the vibrant energy of the BBQ, this place had it all.
Dino Starry is more than just a place to stay; it's a wonderful space where you can unwind, leave your weariness behind, and relive cherished moments. Come and gather with your loved ones here, and collect a whole winter's worth of warmth amidst delicious food and laughter!
GGuest UserThis Bund hotel stay was absolutely amazing! It's just a 5-minute walk to the riverside, and my room had floor-to-ceiling windows with a perfect view of the Lujiazui 'Three-Piece Suit' – I could watch the Oriental Pearl Tower light up at night right from my bed. The smart toilet and automatic curtains were super convenient, and soaking in the bathtub while enjoying the river view was just heavenly! The freshly baked croissants at breakfast were so good they were practically addictive. The rooftop bar had incredible night views, and the cocktails created a fantastic ambiance. The front desk even proactively upgraded my room and sent welcome fruits, and the robot delivering food was adorable. The soundproofing was excellent; I slept like a baby until I woke up naturally. Plus, free laundry and drying service was such a thoughtful touch! The location is unbeatable – Yu Garden and Nanjing Road are within walking distance, and the subway station is right outside. For around 400+ RMB per person, it felt like a thousand-yuan experience. As a detail-oriented person, I was completely won over. I'm definitely booking this place again on my next trip to Shanghai!
MMenglitanle. The facilities are great, and the room is spacious. Every time I come to Shanghai, I stay at this hotel. The front desk service is excellent, and the cleaning staff do a thorough and meticulous job. I highly recommend this place; they even have free popcorn at the front desk and complimentary whiskey. My girlfriend and I always stay here. The movies are also great, and there's a free membership that allows screen casting. Rooms with windows offer a view of the plane trees.
IimnotminFrom the moment you step into the Waldorf Astoria Shanghai on the Bund, the elegant charm of Old Shanghai beautifully intertwines with the Bund's vibrant bustle. From your room, you can take in the Lujiazui skyline, with the Huangpu River's day and night flow just outside your window. The personalized concierge service from Aaron Echole was incredibly meticulous, and the entire staff, from concierge to the front desk, exuded the calm sophistication of a long-standing luxury hotel. Enjoying a 'Shanghai Club' cocktail at the Long Bar in the evening felt like stepping back in time to the social scene of a century ago. An absolutely impeccable stay.
GGuest UserThe Peninsula Shanghai, nestled by the Waibaidu Bridge, the Monument to the People's Heroes, and the Bund, might not be described as 'convenient' in the traditional sense, but I found its location perfect for soaking in the unique Shanghainese vibe! The service here is wonderfully old-school and distinctively 'Shanghai' – unhurried yet efficient, demonstrating a clear and deep understanding of guest needs. The rooms are classic Peninsula style, with well-defined functional areas, superb soundproofing, and impeccable cleanliness and maintenance, putting my mind completely at ease. The dining experience was a genuine delight; both breakfast and the Cantonese restaurant in the evening were so memorable. I particularly loved the evening bath ritual – pressing the SPA button and immersing myself in the tranquil, ethereal music, it felt like I was back in a cozy island retreat! My two-day Peninsula experience was a solid 12 out of 10. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Shanghai who wants to truly experience its unique charm!
AAnonymous UserThe hotel has a minimalist Japanese style, with a clean and atmospheric environment. The staff are very friendly, warm, and thoughtful. They offer a complimentary shuttle service to and from the airport on the hour, which is super convenient for catching flights – a big plus!
However, staying for four consecutive days, the breakfast selection was incredibly monotonous and never changed. It got really boring after a while. The late-night snack options were also very limited, with only noodles and congee available – far too few choices.
Furthermore, during my stay, I noticed that the indoor air felt stuffy and poorly ventilated, always with a stale odor. My room was close to the road, so opening the window meant car noise, but closing it made the room stuffy and smelly, which significantly reduced my comfort.
On a positive note, they thoughtfully gave me a small souvenir when I checked out, which was a lovely touch. Overall, the service and airport shuttle were good, but the stay would be much better if they could improve the breakfast variety, add more late-night snack options, enhance room ventilation and soundproofing, and eliminate the stale indoor smell.
EElianaCThis review is long overdue! I was in Shanghai for a business trip in early March, and it happened to be raining heavily then. The underfloor heating gave me the warmest, most comfortable night's sleep, and the duvet cover felt incredibly soft. It was my first time staying in a Shikumen building, and the courtyard was so unique and stylish. Both the courtyard and the room's interior design were absolutely beautiful. The unit I stayed in was located on West Yan'an Road, very close to Xintiandi and the Shanghai Conservatory of Music. It was perfect – I could just stroll back after dinner in Bei Li. Check-in was also a breeze. I saw that the host manages several other unique B&Bs, so I'd love to try them out sometime!
JjaspenI've wanted to stay at the W Shanghai - The Bund for a long time, and finally got to during my recent trip to Shanghai. It wasn't as perfect as I'd imagined.
First, the good points: The environment is nice, and the cleanliness is decent. The staff are very friendly, and the breakfast offers a wide variety. The outdoor bar was the best experience.
Now, for the less satisfying aspects:
1. Previously, when staying at hotels, you could contact scalpers or certain individuals on platforms to use their membership tiers for room upgrades. Since I booked in advance, I contacted them early about a possible upgrade. I was told that if there was an available room type on the day, I could be upgraded. However, on the day of check-in, they claimed there were no rooms available and didn't upgrade me. At the time, I checked the Ctrip app and saw that rooms *were* available. I'm a platinum member with upgrade benefits, and I still didn't get one.
2. My Ctrip booking included two complimentary drinks, but the front desk didn't provide vouchers during check-in. I only found out at the bar that I needed to go back to the front desk to get them.
3. I had a lot of things and wanted to use the black bag in the closet. Unfortunately, it was broken, and the hotel hadn't replaced it in time.
GGuest UserOur stay was absolutely wonderful! The room was spotless, and the bedding was so soft and comfortable, we slept soundly. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The facilities were comprehensive and had everything we needed. Plus, the location was incredibly convenient – we could easily get to wherever we wanted to go, and it was still quiet, not noisy at all. Overall, we were extremely satisfied and highly recommend staying here!
GGuest UserI stayed here temporarily for a visa appointment. Although the room is small, it's reflected in the price, and it was perfectly fine for one person. The location is downtown, close to everything. The bed was very comfortable, and the room was clean and tidy. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. I'm very satisfied! ✅
