DoubleTree by Hilton Vientiane 🇱🇦 | A Stay I’d Happily Come Back To I recently stayed at DoubleTree by Hilton Vientiane, one of the newer Hilton properties in Laos, and overall, I had a really great experience. 📍 Location The hotel is conveniently located and getting there from the Morning Market area was easy — I simply took a tuk-tuk. It’s also not far from the Mekong River, and some rooms even offer views towards the river. In case you book direct by Hilton website. 🏨 Check-in & Diamond Experience As a Hilton Honors Diamond member, I was able to check in at the Executive Lounge, which made the arrival experience even more comfortable. I originally booked an entry-level room and was very happy to receive an upgrade to a suite during this stay. The suite was spacious, comfortable, and very well appointed. It was definitely a nice surprise and made the stay even more enjoyable. 💛 Service What impressed me most was the service. The staff across the hotel were attentive, professional, and genuinely welcoming. A special thank you to Ling at the Front Desk, who took great care of me, and Chit at the breakfast restaurant, whose attentive service made the morning even better. Both of them really stood out during my stay. 🍳 Breakfast Breakfast was another highlight. The selection was extensive, with plenty of choices, but I especially enjoyed the local Lao dishes. There were Lao-style sausages and fried fish served with jeow dipping sauce and fresh vegetables — simple, local, and absolutely delicious. I always appreciate hotels that include local flavors at breakfast rather than offering only standard international dishes. 🛏️ Overall The room was excellent, the location was convenient, breakfast was impressive, and most importantly, the service throughout the hotel was consistently warm and attentive. It was one of those stays where everything simply came together nicely. Would I stay here again? Absolutely. Impressive accommodation, clean rooms, and friendly, smiling staff. The exterior of the building offers a great atmosphere right by the Mekong River. The food is delicious.

I stayed in room 504, and the air conditioning was noisy all night. Everything else was pretty good, though. The night market is just a block away from the hotel and is very lively, with local young people eating late-night snacks and drinking. It's less than a 20-minute walk to the Central Bus Station, which is quite convenient. Next door to the hotel is a restaurant called 'Piaopiao Fan' that accepts UnionPay cards with no extra fees. The hotel also has a laundry room with two washing machines and one dryer. You'll need to buy detergent from the front desk for 10,000 kip, and one packet is enough for at least three washes (I didn't buy it myself).

The front desk staff greeted us with a smile, which was a definite plus. However, the room was very small, and the bathroom was shared. There was no air conditioning, only a fan, so it was too hot to sleep comfortably. They did offer free breakfast with toast/porridge and coffee.

Traveling from Vang Vieng, I stumbled upon this hotel by chance, and it turned out to be quite good. The hotel is located in the heart of Vientiane, very close to the Mekong River, so you can catch the sunset over the Mekong in the evening. The hotel breakfast is delicious. Although the variety is a bit limited, it's exquisite and features authentic Lao specialties. The service is excellent, and communication was seamless. On the second day, the hotel staff even helped us arrange a taxi to the airport, which was very thoughtful. I would definitely stay here again if I have the chance.

Honestly , the best & friendliest hostel in Vientiane . It is clean . Free drinking water . The staff will help you order food to the hostel for cheaper price & help you with any other needs. Relaxed vibe & can’t wait to return . I highly recommend

Clean and good quality hotel. On the downside, the air conditioning let a large puddle of water inside when it started to rain outside. At breakfast, where we arrived half an hour before it was due to end, the hot food had run out. The picture shows all the protein I could find in the thermal bath. There wasn't even an omelet or eggs available in the open kitchen.

We stayed for a night as we will be leaving the next day for Kunming. The room is clean with with access to YouTube so not too bad. The only thing is the presence of mosquitoes in the room. The good thing is its proximity to the bus station and the night market where you can soak in the local vibe. We are leaving early for a long distance trip so we asked for a packed breakfast meal as we already paid for it, it was decent with a boiled egg and 2 toast (why not make a sandwich instead) and fruits. They could have make it a bit better though as I read some rave reviews on good selection of foods for breakfast.

The room was average, and so was the service. The environment and hygiene were decent, but the efficiency was poor. They missed my scheduled airport pick-up, and I couldn't get through to them on the phone!

I highly recommend the Mixc Hotel! The location is absolutely fantastic, right in the city center, with a shopping mall just outside. It's incredibly convenient for dining and shopping. Check-in was very quick, and the front desk staff were warm, polite, and patiently answered all my questions. The room was spotless, with no unpleasant odors. The bedding was soft, and the mattress had just the right firmness – I slept soundly until morning. The bathroom facilities were complete, with quick hot water and stable pressure. The room's soundproofing was also excellent; even though it's near a commercial area, it was very quiet once the windows were closed. Overall, it offers great value for money, perfect for both tourism and short trips. Every detail was thoughtfully taken care of. This stay exceeded my expectations. Next time I'm in the area, I'll definitely choose Mixc Hotel again. I truly recommend it to everyone!
