Hotels near Nang Thong Beach, Takua Pa

This is my third time in Khao Lak, but my first stay at this hotel. Overall, it was excellent! The staff in every department were friendly and cheerful. There are plenty of activities at the hotel, making it perfect for anyone who wants to spend their vacation relaxing without getting bored. The hotel has a large main pool and separate pools for each building. Breakfast was great with a wide variety of choices. There was also a fresh coffee machine that looked quite standard and good quality. The hotel property is quite deep. If you walk from the front of the hotel to the beach, it's a bit of a trek. If you have luggage, you'll have to drag it a fair distance. However, the hotel offers a buggy service to pick you up from your building; you can call for it anytime. But when we checked out, we were in a hurry, so we ended up walking and dragging our bags ourselves because the staff said the buggy would take about 10 minutes to arrive. Another thing is that during checkout, the staff mentioned we had to wait about 7 minutes for housekeeping to check the room (so allow extra time if you're in a rush). If I have the chance, I would definitely stay here again.

The Ultimate Beachfront Escape. ”The location is unbeatable, situated right on the beautiful Memories Beach. It’s an absolute dream for outdoor enthusiasts—I spent my days surfing, running along the shore, and chilling by the pool. I also loved that I didn’t have to leave the property for good food; having Thai, Italian, and a cute coffee shop on-site was so convenient. Above all, the staff were so welcoming and provided world-class hospitality. Highly recommend!”

Everything was great. The room was spacious, the bed comfortable, and it had a large balcony. We stayed in the building closer to the reception and the garden pool, which felt very private; often, we had the pool all to ourselves. For breakfast, there were 6 variations of eggs to choose from, oatmeal, soup, curry dishes, noodles, rice, vegetables, 4 kinds of fruit, 3-4 types of bread, butter, croissants, waffles, pancakes, yogurts, and more. We found the breakfast to be more than enough; I certainly prepare far less at home! Near the hotel, there are plenty of cafes, a supermarket, massage parlors, and you can do laundry for 30 baht and dry it for 40. If you turn left, there's a small market/bazaar (I think it's an evening market, we didn't go during the day). The entire property is beautiful and green, and the hotel grounds are well-maintained. There's a small 24-hour fitness room. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

I stayed at Ananea beyond for two nights during my birthday celebration with my husband. Overall, we had a pleasant and relaxing experience.       The service was excellent, and we were welcomed with genuine smiles from every staff member we encountered. During check-in a short-haired lady at the lobby provided us with a warm welcome, complete information, and professional service. After that, Paul assisted us with our luggage and gave us a detailed introduction to the resort facilities as well as our villa.         One of the highlights of our stay was the Pool Bar. The swimming pool was spacious and very clean. We had the opportunity to try several drinks prepared by Marwin, and they were absolutely delicious. We ended up having 4–6 drinks .He always served us with a friendly smile and showed great passion and attention when preparing our beverages.        Unfortunately, we did not get a chance to experience the Kanda spa. When we checked in  the spa between 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM, it was closed due to a photo shoot and promotional activities, if I remember correctly. As a result both of us missed the opportunity to enjoy a relaxing spa treatment during our stay.       The breakfast selection was somewhat limited, although the food tasted good and the restaurant staff provided excellent service.        The resort itself is peaceful and quiet, making it a great place to unwind and escape from work-related stress. Our villa was very spacious and well-equipped with amenities. However, there are a few areas that could be improved. Housekeeping standards were not as detailed as expected. The bed linens had several visible stains from previous use before our arrival. Complimentary bottled water was not replenished during our stay .we only received four bottles for the entire two-night stay. Used drinking glasses were also not replaced. In the evenings, some of the pathways leading back to the villas felt quite dark. Additionally, several villas were undergoing renovation during our visit, and there were quite a lot of mosquitoes around the property.        Despite these minor issues, we had a wonderful stay thanks to the outstanding hospitality of the staff. We appreciate their kindness and dedication

The rooms and pool are big and great, and the staff are friendly. I especially remember the male staff member at Drift who was incredibly kind. The breakfast area felt a bit chaotic, possibly due to some sections being under renovation, and it was quite crowded for its size. On the first day, the table we sat at had ants crawling all over it, birds were flying around eating food from empty tables, and the seats at the far end even smelled of mold. Thankfully, the seating we got the next day was fine. Overall, I was satisfied and plan to return for my vacation next year.

The hotel is a 7-minute walk from the beach. I enjoyed walking to Nang Thong Beach along a dirt road through the abandoned hotel grounds and forest. There you'll see hens and chicks, roosters, cows, and coconut palms. Breakfasts are monotonous. The rooms are large and spacious. There's plenty of seating—two rattan armchairs, two chairs, and a stool—a rarity in Thailand. There's a large TV where you can watch your own movies from a USB drive. There's hot water! I loved everything.

The hotel is good, compared to the previous five, this one is the most comfortable, good value for money. It's far from civilization, but there's a mini-market nearby with higher prices. The currency exchange rate for dollars was 30 baht, but I exchanged at another hotel for 33.15. There are also cafes and taxis nearby. A taxi from the hotel to the airport costs 1800 baht. There's a free bus to Khao Lak, and a taxi back costs 600 baht.

Le Meridien Khaolak Being a Marriott chain hotel, it accepts Bonvoy, and I was impressed with every service. The front desk staff provided excellent recommendations for the hotel's facilities and activities. I participated in the morning bicycling tour to the Moken village, which had a lovely atmosphere despite some rain. The room was beautifully decorated with complete amenities. The bathroom was spacious and airy, with clear separate zones and a bathtub. Breakfast could get crowded and chaotic if you went after 8:00 AM. The food taste was average, but the staff provided excellent service, even mixing drinks for guests. The facilities are comprehensive. From 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, there's a happy hour for cocktails by the sea, and the bakery offers a 50% discount. Overall, I was very impressed. As a Bonvoy member, I also received a late checkout. I will definitely return again if I have the opportunity.

Great price, and the accommodation is right on the main road. I called ahead to check in early, and the staff were excellent, very smiley. The housekeeper had even turned on the air conditioning for me. The room was spacious, as was the bathtub. The bathroom water pressure was good and strong, and the shower was fantastic. The only slight issue was a faint smell in the bathroom because the water didn't drain properly; the floor wasn't sloped towards the drain. The bed was huge, and they provided plenty of pillows. However, the pillows were quite firm and dense, so if you prefer softer pillows like I do, you might need to find a comfortable position to sleep in. Breakfast was à la carte, with traditional pork congee that you could order more of, plus one glass of a brewed drink. There was also a small buffet with some Thai dishes. The food was delicious.

I was very impressed with my stay at Pullman Khao Lak Resort. There's no need to leave; there are plenty of activities to do. The hotel has a great, peaceful atmosphere, perfect for a relaxing getaway. The resort itself is beautiful and right by the beach, with a large swimming pool. The overall ambiance is lush and private. The room was spacious and clean, and the bed was incredibly comfortable! The staff were lovely and provided excellent service, always smiling and ready to help. The breakfast offered a wide variety of choices. It's suitable for both couples and families looking for a chill vacation in Khao Lak. I'll definitely come back again if I have the chance.
