"Location and Transportation: I booked this hotel because it's near Khao Lak Beach, and I had a Similan Islands day trip planned for the next day. It's over an hour's taxi ride from the airport. If you're considering taking the bus, make sure your flight lands before 2 PM, otherwise, you'll miss the last bus to Khao Lak Beach at 3:10 PM. We arrived at 6 PM and missed it, so an airport staff member helped us hail a taxi, which cost 1400 Thai Baht (approximately 280 RMB). We clearly saw the taxi driver give the staff member a 200 Baht kickback. Room: The room was odor-free and tidy, but the duvet cover had what looked like blood or lipstick stains, and the bath towels were frayed. Since we brought our own sheets, duvet cover, and quick-dry towels, these issues didn't bother us. Breakfast: The breakfast was quite comprehensive with toast, vegetable salad, tea/coffee, sausages, fried eggs, bacon, and orange juice. We were very satisfied with it."

"Brilliant little Gem of a resort close to but not on top of the local bars, clubs, restaurants, and shops.Across the road from the beach and a quick Taxi ride to biang niang market. There are toilets off to the side of the restaurant in the resort, for use when outside of the room, at the pool, or during dinner, for example. Staff are super friendly and helpful, Palm Villa rooms are spacious with a good view. I booked to stay here with my Daughter and liked it so much we extended by 5 nights."

"A great little hotel set just off the main road, so it’s close to everything yet still nice and quiet. There’s free off-road parking, and the room is well equipped with good air conditioning, a hot shower, and a kettle for added convenience."

"The hotel's location is interesting. We had a sea view room (though the lawn in front of the sea, which belongs to the hotel, was a bit unkempt). The room itself was beautiful, comfortable, and spacious, and the balcony was great too. The pool is open until 10 PM, and there's a water cooler in the common hallway, so no issues with water. Breakfasts were tasty, and the staff were polite and pleasant. Unfortunately, that's where the positives end. Regarding the negatives: upon check-in, we found a huge cockroach on the curtain. How it could have been missed when preparing the room is a mystery. We didn't make a fuss; we just caught the cockroach ourselves and released it onto the lawn (there were two in total), oh well, these things happen. The biggest drawback, which overshadowed all the positives, was the non-functional air conditioning system. It's a central system, and it seems like maintenance has been completely neglected. When we contacted reception, an engineer came up and showed us how to adjust it (only two modes: 22°C and 21°C; other temperature settings didn't work). The room was 29°C. The AC blew slightly but didn't cool. Because of this, we canceled our extended booking and moved to a proper hotel with a working air conditioner. And where the AC unit draws air, there was a thick layer of dust... The hotel itself is great, but the air conditioning, or rather its lack of proper function, ruined everything."

"Avoid Seascape Rooms Entirely - Lighthouse Works (If Upstairs!) Our initial ”Seascape” room was uninhabitable:** overpowering mould/must smell caused breathing difficulties (tight lungs) within 30 minutes. Combined with noisy transformers outside, we fled immediately. Staff moved us *free* to their ”Lighthouse” hotel across the road. **Beware the ground floor:** our Lighthouse room had the same severe damp/mould issue. **After one awful night, we paid extra to upgrade to a 3rd-floor sea view room.** **This saved the stay:** The upstairs Lighthouse room was fresh, clean, comfortable (great beds/linen) with lovely views. Free water on each floor was appreciated. We extended from 5 to 7 nights here. **Serious Issues Remain:** 1. **Seascape Building:** Avoid entirely - severe mould makes it unfit. 2. **Lighthouse Ground Floor:** Same mould/damp problem. **Only higher floors are acceptable.** 3. **Pool:** Excess chlorine on Day 1 bleached my wife's black leggings brown. Check levels before swimming. **Bottom Line:** Only stay if you can *guarantee* an **upstairs room in the Lighthouse**. Never accept any Seascape rooms or Lighthouse ground floor rooms. The hotel must fix pervasive mould issues."

"The resort is really nice for families with children. But its a bit outskirts of Phuket, nearly 2 hours from Patong. And just outside the hotel you walk 5 minutes and there is a walking street with restaurants, massage spa. But the resort is very quiet, nice and especially it huge. A lot of restaurants inside, and many things for kids. It has a huge play area for kids too. The breakfast options is also nice, a limited options for vegetarian though. But specially this resort is very very huge. And kids love the water park."

"Great hotel. Of course not new, but in very decent condition. Great location for those who need a quiet holiday, a beautiful beach. The busier parts of Khao Lak are also within easy reach by taxi. The hotel has good service, excellent breakfasts. The restaurant menu is not large, but what is there is cooked excellently. We liked to dine in different places. By bike or taxi, or 5 min. walk and you can visit other catering establishments (the more mobile, the further 🤭). I think I would gladly come back here again."

"A slightly worn hotel in traditional Thai style, somewhat reminiscent of the Jim Thompson Museum. The staff is friendly, but there are issues with the room conditions and the kitchen (raw meat served for breakfast). We stayed for a few days, and on the first night, the electricity in our room went out. We ended up sleeping in a villa where a floodlight shined directly into our faces because there were no curtains. The next day, we moved back to our original room, which I found more comfortable. Our room had a bathtub, amenities, and robes. For breakfast, you can ask for Eggs Benedict. The hotel has many retirees, and the massage is decent. Big territory. I would come back. The manager, Sunny as I remember, is great."

"I booked a pool-access room for 2 nights during Songkran 2026, from April 12-14. The hotel grounds are spacious with a long pool that extends directly in front of the rooms, even in the deeper parts of the property. There's ample parking, a fitness center, a lounge, and well-priced Thai massage services. I can confirm the cleanliness is excellent. The room was spotless upon check-in, and the housekeeping staff cleaned it during our 1-day trip out. The staff service is incredibly well-trained. Whenever they encountered us, they would stop, greet us, and gesture for us to pass first. This applies to everyone, even the gardeners. They would wai us every time we met. The reception staff were also very helpful and provided excellent service. As for amenities, the room was fully equipped, even including an iron. Other essentials like a hairdryer and kettle were provided, along with complimentary tea, coffee, and two bottles of drinking water. My room had direct pool access, and the pool itself is a maximum of 1.2m deep. Common area amenities include a 24-hour fitness center, a game room with board games, and a pool table. The breakfast buffet offers a complete spread, including Thai options like congee, sausages, ham, fried eggs, omelets, a salad bar, and a wide variety of breads. Fresh coffee from an automatic machine and various fruit juices are also available. Overall, it was an excellent experience, 10/10. I would definitely return again."
