"We stayed for one night in Wtown Resort. We bought a package which included entrance ticket and some highlights. Location: Convinent as one of shuttle bus stop is right in front of resort and it is also walking distance to performance area. Facilities: Room is super spacious and clean. Building is slightly old but still well maintained. I love the lobby as it played traditional music with cozy area. Staff is friendly and provide Wechat personalize guidance to guest who booked under trip.com. I think it is useful as it able to provide a quick chat and clarification e.g. performance timing and location. Overall, it is good experience."

"The customer service lady was quite nice, but I do have some issues with the guesthouse: 1. Check-in time was 2 PM, but when we arrived, the room wasn't ready yet. We had to wait another half an hour for them to finish cleaning. 2. The pillows on the bed were too flat, and the bed itself was too soft, making it uncomfortable. 3. And this is the most important point: there's no need to stay overnight in this Chestnut Village. It's tiny, and even the 'mini waterfall stream' is artificial 😂. You can finish exploring and taking pictures in just an afternoon. Also, food is very expensive here; an ice cream costs 68. Although the restaurant is a bit pricey, the food itself is actually quite good. 4. There are a lot of people with dogs, and they tend to pee all over the restaurant. There's really no point in bringing kids here, as there are practically no facilities for children."

"This hostel is without a doubt the very best place to stay if you want to spend some time close to the Great Wall (and you should take time for this amazing structure)! The lovely owners Jack and Xi will do anything to make your stay as pleasant as possible: rhe rooms are great and fresh, clean. Built only three years ago but in a traditional style, with a little courtyard? It has a lovely roof terrace too. They drive you up and down the entrance of the Great Wall whenever you want to go, even for sunrise and sunset. Jack knows everybody so all will go fast and smooth. Xi is always smiling and very helpful. She makes the most amazing and delicious home cooked chinese meals and great coffee. Go there!! You won’t regret it! It’s great and close to the most beautiful parts of the wall!"

"Let me start by saying, if I could give this hotel six stars, I absolutely would without hesitation! First off, the location is superb. It's just around the corner from the subway station, and Xizhimen is a major transportation hub, plus Beijing North Railway Station is nearby. Upon arriving in the lobby, staff were there to greet and assist, offering tips on local attractions and important notes, and even helping with luggage. A special shout-out to Tong Meiyi for her warm and thoughtful service. During my stay, something happened: I checked out early in the morning with my child, but after finishing our sightseeing sooner than expected, I regretted checking out so early. We still had several hours until our high-speed train departed. When I returned to pick up our luggage, I asked the front desk if we could rest for a few more hours if my room hadn't been cleaned yet. Xiao Ziyun, who was at the desk, saw how tired I looked and immediately checked the room availability. Understanding my situation, she said the room hadn't been cleaned yet and it was fine. However, when I opened the door, I found the room spotless! Honestly, I was quite touched at that moment. To minimize extra work for the cleaning staff, I barely used the room, only watching TV, and I even avoided using the faucets and toilet. When I left, I met the two cleaning ladies, who were all smiles and understanding, assuring me it was no problem and they'd recheck the room. (The ladies were Zhou Qiaofeng and Li Guiling.) Having stayed in countless hotels, this level of wholehearted service for guests is truly rare. I will definitely choose this place again on my next trip to Beijing."

"The stay at Beijing WTown Hotel was completed the night prior to checking into Watertown Hotel, enabling a comparison of the two five-star hotels in Gubei. Unlike Beijing WTown Hotel, where the staff demonstrated a high level of professionalism, took the initiative, and provided extensive information about the town and activities, the check-in experience at Watertown Hotel was ordinary and did not resemble a 5-star kind of standard. The themed room at Watertown did not really resemble a theme room as shown on the booking page, aside from a pig figurine placed on the sofa. The view from the room on the third floor was mediocre, was told by another staff during check-in that most rooms in the hotel lack a view. However, the view from the swimming pool was great. The hotel is situated just outside the scenic area. An advantage of this location is that vehicles can drive directly to the hotel, offering convenient access."

"The hotel's location is about 2-3 kilometers from the city center, which is quite convenient as they have a delivery robot that brings food right to your room. The service is attentive and enthusiastic, and the rooms are clean and tidy. Behind the hotel is a wedding venue, and a wedding was held on my second day, which was a nice touch of celebration."

"We discovered Xiaojiangnan, a fantastic family-friendly guesthouse, during our two-day trip to Shidu with our kids! The themed children's rooms instantly won them over, keeping them happy all day. The guesthouse has an outdoor swimming pool where they can play, and the surrounding mountain environment is fresh and the air is incredibly clean. The rooms are clean and tidy, with complete facilities, including a private indoor hot spring bath – perfect for relaxing after a long day of play. The breakfast is nutritious and plentiful, and the owner is incredibly thoughtful, proactively providing information on nearby routes for families with children. It's also very close to rafting and scenic spots, making travel hassle-free. The courtyard is quiet and safe, allowing children to run around freely. Highly recommended for families with children!"

"The experience of staying at Gubei Zen Courtyard is great. It is very cost-effective to visit Gubei Water Town. The courtyard is beautiful and simple, surrounded by flowers and plants. The owner's care can be felt in every detail. The hygiene is particularly clean and tidy, especially the bedding is absolutely comfortable. The female boss is very nice and took us to see the 3,500-year-old ancient cypress nearby. There is a small stream not far from the entrance of the courtyard where children can play in the water. It takes only 5 minutes to drive to Gubei Water Town and Simatai Great Wall. I watched the drone show at night. It's so convenient! It is worth recommending to friends to stay here. I will stay here again when I come to Gubei Water Town next time."

"The room was clean and tidy, with complete facilities and excellent service. It was very comfortable to stay in. There were cute little puppies in the yard, which really lifted my spirits. It's especially suitable for weekend getaways and holiday relaxation. Ordering food was convenient, and the nearby restaurants had great flavors. It's also easy to get to by car. This will definitely be my go-to spot for weekend relaxation in the future!"
