"Our stay this time was a truly delightful surprise! We had originally booked a king-sized bed room, but to our pleasant surprise, we were upgraded for free to a family-themed room with a view, which felt incredibly lucky. The room offered an amazing view, and the city nightscape outside the floor-to-ceiling windows was simply beautiful. Our little one was overjoyed the moment they stepped into the room; the themed decor was absolutely adorable. The hotel service was also incredibly thoughtful, not only providing children's slippers and toothbrushes but also delivering complimentary late-night snacks to our room. The location is superb, right next to Wanda Plaza, making dining, entertainment, and shopping incredibly convenient. Our whole family was extremely satisfied with this stay, and we highly recommend it to anyone traveling with children!"

"Sally is so great. She even loan us a wal power adapter we badly need it. She and her friendly hotal staffs arranged a courtesy shuttle to train station. Wow! buffet breafast was the widest variety we have ever seen! we don't need a lunch! i will definitely recommend this hotel in my Los angeles based Burmese newspapers serving rapidly growing Burmese community for sure."

"This hotel offers great value for money. The overall facilities are quite good, and I would still highly recommend it, especially if you're not sensitive to cigarette smoke. However, there are a few downsides: 1. The hot water is unstable, constantly fluctuating between cold and hot. 2. The floor has a very strong smoke smell. 3. The towels and pillowcases in the room also smell of smoke. 4. The room heating is too strong and dry, making it difficult to sleep."

"The location is excellent! It's right next to the train station. Given that Xining's traffic was congested and many roads were under construction during the summer, staying by the station was a very practical and smart choice. The newly renovated hotel boasts brand new facilities. Our family room was spacious and thoughtfully laid out. The shower and bedding were top-notch, and the bathroom featured a convenient wet/dry separation. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious, and the dining environment was very comfortable! We stayed for two nights, and my child even said they didn't want to leave!"

"Very nice clean hotel. Helpful staff. Room modern, clean and just right. Mine didn't have a closet or a safe but that's not such a big deal. This next point isn't about this particular hotel but for all girls in China. Please make it more accessible to non-chinese speaking foreigners. Each of the girls I started with during my trip, do not make any attempt or even try to care. China is getting super automated and self-service but their smart devices and controllers ranging from in-room controls to within the property like room service and delivery robots could also understand English would be fantastic. It's so much cheaper to add a new language to these agents than to have all their staff learn English and it would enhance our experience by a 100x as we would never bother the hotel staff with anything."

"I will start off by saying that the room and bathroom were well appointed, the staff were friendly and helpful and breakfast was delicious. However, whilst the room was generally clean, when I dropped something that subsequently rolled under a fitted unit, I was pretty disgusted to see the dust and filth beneath it. It clearly had not been cleaned for…well…ever? I appreciate that these areas will not be as clean as the more visible parts of the room, however for a five star hotel, this is unacceptable. I do not expect to find dirty tissues and a thick layer of dust and dirt anywhere in my hotel room. But by far the absolute worst part of my stay was the inability to control the temperature in the room whatsoever. The room was so swelteringly hot that despite the comfortable bed, and everything to go with it, I was almost unable to sleep at all. I do not expect this in a five star hotel(and have never experienced it other than here and at anther Wanda hotel in Hohhot), I pay for luxury; controlling the room temperature is a basic requirement that I can even do in a 50 yuan a night hostel dorm. When I asked the staff at reception the following morning I was told the AC wouldn’t be available until after April 15th because ‘it’s cold outside’. Firstly, I am not sleeping outside, I am sleeping inside, on the 22nd floor, where it is anything but cold. Not to mention it was April, not January, even in Xining it is not that cold. Secondly, as a paying guest, in a five star hotel, it should be up to me to decide if it is hot or cold, not the hotel. For this reason, as lovely as the room, staff and breakfast may have been, I would not stay here again. I checked out and moved to the lower rated Hilton, where I could control the room temperature and actually managed to sleep…generally what the whole point of a hotel is."

"My stay at Qinghai Kaiyuan Grand Hotel in Xining completely exceeded my expectations. Every moment, from check-in to check-out, was incredibly comfortable and pleasant. I absolutely have to sing its praises! First off, the service was exceptionally warm and attentive, making the entire experience fantastic. As soon as I arrived, a doorman proactively helped me with my luggage and directed me to the Sky Lobby on the 21st floor. Check-in was super efficient, and they even thoughtfully recognized my member status and upgraded my room for free, along with complimentary fresh welcome fruit. The 24-hour front desk was always responsive to my needs; whether I needed directions or extra items, they were quick to assist. The staff were friendly and professional in every detail, adding a touch of warmth to my trip. Secondly, the facilities were comprehensive and high-end, ensuring a very comfortable stay. The design of the Sky Lobby was simply stunning, blending Chinese style with panoramic views. In the evening, I even caught a breathtaking sunset – perfect for photos! My room was spacious and bright, with a well-designed layout covering over 50 square meters. It featured a soft sofa, a large desk, and even a humidifier to combat the dry climate in the Northwest, which was a very thoughtful touch. The guest rooms were fully intelligent, with features like sensor lighting and electric blackout curtains adding a futuristic feel. The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area and a bathtub, and the toiletries were high-quality. The King Koil mattress provided an amazing sleep experience. The hotel also boasts a free gym, a table tennis room, a book bar, and a tea room – perfect for either exercise and relaxation or quiet reading. The amenities truly cater to various needs. What truly surprised me was the breakfast – it was abundant and unique. Served at the buffet restaurant on the 5th floor, it covered everything from Chinese and Western to Halal cuisine, with an incredibly wide variety. There was freshly prepared Lanzhou beef noodles, authentic Halal 'Sazi Mahua' (fried dough twists), and other local specialties, along with hot dishes, cold dishes, congee, bread, seasonal fruits, and excellent freshly ground coffee and squeezed juices. I particularly recommend the hotel's yogurt; its rich and creamy texture was delicious with grains or fruit. The dining area was spacious and clean, with plenty of seating, so there was no need to wait in line – a perfect start to an energetic day. Additionally, the hotel's location is superb. It's right next to Xining Railway Station, just a few minutes' walk away. Within a 1-kilometer radius, there's a night market, large shopping malls, and the distinctive Mojia Street pedestrian area. It's also close to the Dongguan Great Mosque and the Huangshui River, making it incredibly convenient for getting around and finding food. The free public parking also eased any concerns for those traveling by car. It offers incredible value for money. In summary, Xining Qinghai Kaiyuan Grand Hotel excelled in every aspect, including service, facilities, and dining. It's perfectly suited for both business trips and leisure travel. I will definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Xining and highly recommend it to everyone!"

"I was a little worried before checking in. When I asked for the Park Plaza, the taxi driver basically didn't know anything about it. Later I found out it was a newly opened hotel and the entire building was newly built. The hotel lobby check-in area was very small. The room itself was okay, but the elevator was very slow and you had to wait, especially in the morning when you had to squeeze and wait for a while after breakfast. Overall, the value for money was average. The homemade yogurt for breakfast was delicious, and the hotel breakfast was quite rich. The shower location and the lack of doors in the family room made it difficult to store things. Other than that, it was pretty good."

"I came from Dongying and was familiar with the local Blue Sea environment. It's hard to describe what I found when I came to Xining Blue Sea. It used to be such a good hotel, but for some reasons it's incomparable to before. The hotel staff still provides services of a five-star hotel, but the hotel is probably understaffed and the facilities are really outdated. There is not even hot water all day long, and at night the hot water is a bit cold, with low water pressure, which is really bad in the winter."

"The hotel is centrally located, facing the central square. Room windows offer stunning views of Xining's city center. The rooms are spacious and well-equipped, including a large Sharp TV. The bathroom is spacious, with separate wet and dry areas and a TOTO automatic flush toilet. The lobby counter is stocked with bottles of mineral water and a variety of fruit for guests to enjoy, a truly impressive touch. The breakfast is plentiful and high-quality. The staff are especially welcoming, proactively inquiring about service needs and offering recommendations, a truly valuable touch. The front desk staff are equally proactive and service-minded. The front square is spacious, with free parking, and the security guards are friendly and attentive. A gas station is just around the corner in the alley next to the hotel, making refueling very convenient."
