"This hotel in Kunming's old town was a real gem! Step out, and you're right in the heart of authentic local life; step back in, and your room is surprisingly quiet, not a sound. The rooms have that charming, old-world house style, but they're spotlessly clean—I felt comfortable walking barefoot. Everything you need is there: powerful air conditioning and even a direct drinking water dispenser. The biggest surprise was the washing machine and dryer, plus a rooftop area for drying clothes – so convenient! The front desk lady was incredibly nice; she upgraded our room for free as soon as we arrived. When we couldn't figure out the TV, she even came up to help us set it up, so patient. And the breakfast? Absolutely fantastic! Authentic rice noodles, fresh fruit, all sorts of pastries… waking up to that breakfast every day was a treat. We were so comfortable that we promptly extended our stay for another night. I genuinely recommend this to anyone visiting Kunming!"

"This hotel is perfect for a short stopover before flying home. The location is very convenient, just near the airport, and the price is quite affordable. The best part is that they provide a free airport shuttle, which made our travel so much easier. Definitely a good choice for transit stays."

"My flight arrived in the early hours, and the airport pickup was very reliable and close by. The hotel is located in a village where there's a lot of construction work happening along the roads, so it's quite dusty. The entire village seems to be full of hotels, but this one's immediate surroundings are very pleasant. The koi pond is beautiful, and the courtyard must be lovely at any time of year except winter. The room conditions are also excellent, clean, and the service attitude is good. My only minor issue was receiving a call after noon asking if I wanted to extend my stay, when I had already returned the key card to the front desk before my departure transfer. Just a small misunderstanding, nothing to fuss about."

"Even though we were just in Kunming for a layover before our flight to Baoshan tomorrow, we weren't willing to compromise on quality, and the Hilton certainly didn't disappoint – in fact, it was absolutely stunning! We had booked a family room in advance, and upon arrival, they upgraded us to a suite. The front desk service was excellent. When they saw us trying to check in amidst a tour group, they immediately escorted us to a side counter to assist us. They gave us two fresh flower cakes and a walnut cake, and the walnut cake was even warm, which quickly eased my daughter's hunger. The room had two beds in two separate rooms: a 2-meter king-size bed and a smaller bed, about 1.5 meters. Even next to the smaller bed, they thoughtfully placed a small table to serve as a nightstand. For the bathtub, the hotel thoughtfully provided a bathtub liner and a loofah bath sponge. I have to give a special shout-out to the showerhead in the bathroom; the water temperature indicator was very clear, so there was no risk of accidentally getting doused with cold water. Plus, hot water was instant! Isn't that amazing? Also, the adjustable shower rod was incredibly easy to use, and changing the showerhead's direction was effortless – unlike some hotels where you have to shower according to the showerhead's fixed direction. Both the living room and bedroom had sofas, and the decor was tastefully done, genuinely making you feel at home. My daughter and I absolutely loved it, and we regretted not taking the 2 PM flight to enjoy it a little longer. The small-pot rice noodles and Ersi (rice cake strips) for breakfast were also excellent. Five-star recommendation!"

"Located on Dabanqiao Town Street near the airport, this hotel offers free airport shuttle service. There are many restaurants in the surrounding area. Although the hotel is old, its European-style decor and furniture still hint at its past glory. The bathroom's condition is a bit worse, but considering the price, it's good value for money."

"This stay truly lives up to their slogan: 'as comfortable as home.' They really do have almost every amenity you'd find at home – an iron, washing machine, microwave, and so on. The service was excellent! They managed to get all four rooms for our large family on the same floor. However, it seems like every room might be a smoking room (even though we requested non-smoking and they sprayed a lot of air freshener, the smoke smell just wouldn't dissipate quickly 🥲). If you can't stand it, you can ask the front desk to change rooms, but there's no guarantee the next one will be smoke-free… we ended up with two smoky ones, haha! You can also often smell strong cigarette smoke in the hallway 🚬, because people in other rooms are heavy smokers 🤯. For a short trip, it's still okay, because it's a brief stay and we spend most of our time out of the room… maybe we were just really unlucky… No issues with noise, though. I saw some comments before about poor soundproofing, but honestly, it's quite good… and I'm a light sleeper."

However, I was pleasantly surprised beyond my expectations. True luxury isn't about elaborate formalities; it's about the details that make you feel 'seen.' From the moment we stepped into the lobby, the front desk attendant, Xiao Wang, greeted us with just the right amount of warmth and proactively took our luggage. The whole process was seamless. The front desk staff who checked us in were not only highly efficient but, while confirming my details, naturally mentioned my preference for a 'higher floor' that I had noted in my reservation and informed me they had arranged a room with the best view for me. This kind of thoughtful attentiveness, without me even having to remind them, was incredibly heartwarming. And the breakfast, the small pot rice noodles were absolutely delicious! Thumbs up!"

"A Heartwarming Interlude in Kunming This hotel, from its service to its overall ambiance, was quite good. Two days before checking out, I visited the Kunming Library. I saw some really cute little mushroom fridge magnets in the creative merchandise shop downstairs, so I bought a few. Unfortunately, on the taxi ride back to the hotel from the library, I accidentally left them in the cab. I felt a bit down about it. To my surprise, on check-out day, the hotel front desk handed me a wrapped fridge magnet, saying it was a souvenir for me. Although this stamp-themed one wasn't as unique as the little mushroom ones I lost, this unexpected gesture instantly made up for my regret. Looking at the iconic Kunming landmarks printed on the magnet, I still felt very happy. Such small details made the entire trip feel much warmer."

The service was warm and attentive, from check-in to check-out everything went smoothly. They even gave us a complimentary upgrade, which was a lovely surprise!
