Located at No. 52 Orchard Street, Kazanqi Folk Culture Scenic Area, Yining City, Ili Kazakh Autonomous Prefecture, our homestay is one of the rare homestays in Yining that fully preserves the authentic Uyghur ethnic architectural style, hiding the most genuine local folk customs of the old town of Ili.
Carefully renovated from a traditional authentic Uyghur residence in Xinjiang, the renovation project overcame numerous difficulties while adhering to the principle of retaining the original ethnic architectural features to the greatest extent. We have completed the modern renovation of independent bathrooms in each guest room to enhance living comfort, and fully preserved the texture and charm of primitive Uyghur architecture, allowing the century-old folk customs to be completely inherited.
The homestay features a scarce three-story historic main building with a grand and symmetrical layout of dual staircases and dual entrance corridors. This unique and neat structure is rarely seen in the entire Kazanqi area and even Yining City. Once the former residence of the wealthiest family in old Kazanqi, the courtyard and main building are exquisitely constructed, with every brick and tile imprinted with historical deposits, making it an ideal accommodation choice for travelers who wish to deeply experience Xinjiang’s local folk culture and Ili’s humanistic charm.
Boasting a spacious courtyard meticulously designed by a professional modern landscape designer, the homestay features lush fruit trees, blooming flowers and a super-large grape trellis, creating a cozy and picturesque scenery. The expansive courtyard space supports diverse scenarios, seamlessly meeting your needs for leisure relaxation, courtyard dinners, outdoor barbecues, light meals, casual drinks and entertainment, allowing you to enjoy a slow and cozy courtyard life.
Guests can also enjoy an exclusive intangible cultural heritage experience—join hands with Mr. Kuerbanjiang, the inheritor of ethnic musical instrument making, an intangible cultural heritage of Ili Prefecture, to experience the ingenuity of traditional handicrafts up close, immerse yourself in Ili’s ethnic intangible cultural heritage, and explore the unique charm of Xinjiang’s folk culture.
With the romance of blue Kazanqi, the ancient charm of a century-old Uyghur residence, the coziness of a spacious courtyard, the tranquility under the grape trellis and an in-depth encounter with intangible cultural heritage, here you can bid farewell to superficial sightseeing and truly immerse yourself in the folk customs and poetic romance of Ili, Xinjiang.
"The room is very clean and the decoration has the feel of Xinjiang ethnic minorities. The corridors and rooms are covered with carpets, which are beautiful and comfortable to walk on. The courtyard of the B&B is particularly beautiful in the evening. My friends and I sat in the courtyard for a long time before returning to the room to rest. The service was also very good and enthusiastic."
