"Extremely satisfied. The hotel is beautiful, offering afternoon tea and white fungus soup in the evening. The room was spacious, and the nuts, biscuits, and drinks inside were all complimentary. I particularly enjoyed sitting on the room's balcony, just staring at the lake and daydreaming. Customer service representative Xiao Xing followed up throughout my stay. I had to disturb them at 7 AM and 11 PM due to various reasons, but Xiao Xing always responded promptly. Especially since I was cycling around the lake and had an early start, breakfast wasn't ready yet. Xiao Xing thoughtfully delivered fresh flower cakes and drinks to my room at 11 PM the night before. The service was truly attentive."

"Aside from its location not being directly on Lugu Lake, this hotel is absolutely superb in terms of both its facilities and service! Gavin contacted us a day in advance to understand our needs and estimated arrival time. During our stay, he was also very helpful in resolving any issues or requests. Knowing I was traveling with my parents and that it was my father's birthday, he thoughtfully prepared toiletries for three and even added some simple decorations to the room beforehand – so considerate! We were upgraded to a garden view room and received a complimentary breakfast. Thank you, Gavin! It was the off-peak season and the weather wasn't great, so the hotel wasn't busy, but all the staff members from every department were incredibly kind! I was surprised that even though it wasn't an executive room, they still offered turn-down service and left two face masks. I didn't even get this kind of treatment in an executive room at the Hilton Dali. I must especially commend the intern, Jinhua, at the Chinese restaurant! We had both dinner and breakfast at the hotel. For dinner, Jinhua directly informed us about available coupons, which saved us a lot of money. She was constantly bustling about, checking if our dishes were ready. She also educated us on the differences and cultures of the Yi, Mosuo, Naxi, and Bai ethnic groups. She even told us about the hotel's rubbings experience. The next morning at breakfast, knowing we were traveling from Lugu Lake back to Lijiang, she kept checking if we had eaten enough. When she went to the kitchen to restock yogurt, she specifically detoured to our table and, seeing that we hadn't had any, offered us yogurt, encouraging us to drink it. Having traveled to many places and countries both domestically and internationally, Jinhua is the most enthusiastic and caring service staff member I have ever encountered. Even a lady from Hong Kong at the table next to us remarked on how excellent Jinhua's service was and, I heard, wrote a glowing review. Perhaps in life, it's hard to meet again, but I will forever remember encountering Jinhua, a warm and always smiling sister, during our Lugu Lake trip in 2026 at the Lugu Lake Indigo. Whether she continues to work in the mountains or ventures out, I wish her a wonderful future."

"The lake view room was absolutely stunning, I felt instantly uplifted the moment I walked in! Breakfast could also be enjoyed at the lakeside restaurant, offering both delicious food and beautiful scenery (the oranges at breakfast were incredibly sweet!). The hotel staff were exceptionally attentive. They waited for us at the village entrance upon arrival and enthusiastically helped us with our luggage when we left. They were also very responsive to our needs in the evenings, especially our room's housekeeper, Zhoma, who was truly wonderful!"

"Beyond amazing, definitely a 5-star experience! From the manager to the service staff, everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful. It was raining and hard to park, so they drove us directly to our room and the dining area in a sightseeing cart. The best part was when our group unexpectedly had an extra person, they generously upgraded us to a lake view room for free. The hotel's style is fantastic, and its lakeside location is wonderfully quiet. Although I didn't catch the sunrise right away, I waited for it to clear up. The hotel's partnered pig trough boat tour was also great value for money. This stay truly exceeded my expectations. Breakfast in the restaurant with the morning sun streaming in was absolutely picturesque."

"Location of the hotel is perfect for anyone visiting lugu lake. Imagine waking up to the view of the lake and mountains. The hotel is also fairly new with beautiful deco and they have prepared many thoughtful things include disposable towels, disposable bath tub towel, free daily afternoon tea and a short photoshoot. The front desk staff 阿文was also very helpful. A couple of things I wished went better: - breakfast: selection was quite limited and mainly Chinese food. Was not an issue for me as I typically don’t take breakfast. - limited toilet paper: unfortunately my husband and I were down with food poisoning during the trip so the toilet paper quickly became a scarcity. - inconsistent temperature in the shower: the shower on my first night toggled between icy cold and steamy hot even without me adjusting the temperature. Overheard from other guests that they had the same issue as well. The hotel thankfully was able to fix it on my second night. - mattress was too hard, and it felt like I was sleeping directly on the floor… unfortunately the hotel didn’t have an option to add on a topper and it really affected my sleep quality during the two nights we were there. However, preference for a softer mattress is personal. Would have been nice if the hotel has toppers prepared for guests who prefer a softer bed. Overall, it was still a pleasant experience and I’d recommend for anyone visiting lugu lake."

While the gorgeous lake-view rooms were a highlight, it was the forest tea house, meticulously crafted within the resort, that truly captivated me. The entire resort is built harmoniously with the mountain slopes, featuring staggered old wooden cabins, thatched roofs, and scattered tent accommodations nestled amongst the pine trees. As night falls, warm string lights illuminate the pathways, blending seamlessly with the evening, the pines, and the vegetation, creating an incredibly enchanting atmosphere. Strolling along the stone steps, each turn reveals a new picturesque scene—be it a triangular tent or an independent wooden tea room—each space possessing its own unique charm. I particularly loved the forest tea house. These independent wooden tea structures, set amidst the woods, with paper lanterns, low tea tables, and futon cushions, perfectly encapsulate the essence of the wilderness and tea culture. Sitting here brewing a pot of Pu'er, with the deep mountains visible through the window and the evening breeze rustling through the pine branches, all urban anxiety and fatigue simply melt away. It's an ideal spot for a quiet tea gathering for two, or a small salon-style meeting with friends, offering an unparalleled ambiance. The LOFT duplex lake-view room we stayed in was equally impressive. With its two-story layout, the space felt expansive and comfortable. Floor-to-ceiling windows offered direct views of the entire Lugu Lake, and the tatami tea table by the window was perfect for enjoying the lake and mountain sunset at leisure. All the hardware was brand new, the lighting was soft and sophisticated, and the heating was ample. Parking for self-drivers was convenient, making our travels worry-free. The staff provided genuine and thoughtful service, offering practical local recommendations without being overly polite. This place offers not only prime, front-row views of Lugu Lake but also a unique mountain forest tea space. It's more than just accommodation; it's a destination where you can immerse yourself in tea and unwind. Whether you're traveling with family or with fellow tea enthusiasts, Dingxia Island is well worth a special trip to Lugu Lake. "🏡 Environment & View: 5/5 Right by the lake, the location is superb. The hotel is in Nisai Village, which is quieter than Daluoshui Village, but the scenery is just as stunning. The room offers direct views of Lugu Lake and Mount Gemu, with expansive vistas. Even on a rainy day, enjoying the lake view from the room is a treat. 🛏️ Hygiene & Facilities: 5/5 The room is large and clean. As a family room, the spaciousness is very friendly for families with children. The hotel provides oxygen facilities, which is a thoughtful touch in a high-altitude area. The free parking (Gemu Mountain Cableway entrance) is just 50 meters from the hotel, and amenities like the self-service breakfast are also well-equipped. 💁 Service: 5/5 This was the most pleasant surprise! The butler service was incredibly patient and attentive, quickly assisting with parking, luggage transfer, dining, and anything else we needed. This 'can-do' attitude made our trip much more stress-free. 👨👩👧 Child-Friendliness: Full Marks The hotel has a private waterfront garden where children can play, and the spacious lawn in the courtyard is perfect for running around. The breakfast also catered to the needs of different guests. 💰 Value for Money: Excellent We enjoyed high-end hotel views and services at a relatively affordable price."

"Service: The service was excellent. The hotel is located halfway up the mountain, and since we checked in during the off-season, they upgraded our room and even provided afternoon tea. When we left, they gave us scented candles as a gift. We were quite forgetful and left some items behind, and the front desk staff, a lovely lady, reminded us and even drove them out to us. We bothered her twice, and we were truly touched, grateful, and a bit embarrassed at the same time 😂. Room: The upgraded room had a perfect view of Lugu Lake right from the window. Unable to sleep at night, I could lie in bed and gaze at the starry sky, and surprisingly, even managed to capture a sky full of stars through the window. The sunrise at around 6 AM was breathtaking, with the soft sunlight gently filling the room, allowing for a 'painless' sunrise viewing experience. This window alone makes it worth a five-star rating. Amenities: The hotel's terrace and restaurant offer fantastic views; just sitting there, eating, and daydreaming was a true pleasure. The breakfast was very generous, and both the elderly and children were very satisfied. Highly recommended!"

"Had a great experience! The hotel has a very stylish design and a good location, very close to the lake. The floor-to-ceiling windows offer a particularly comfortable first-row lake view. The room was clean and tidy, and the facilities were convenient to use. The rooftop observation deck is perfect for photos. The hotel staff (Xiaobin) were very welcoming and even gave us a souvenir when we left. They offer free pickup and drop-off at the bus stop. Breakfast was nutritious and delicious, and there was even a sweet nightcap soup in the evening. Overall, the stay was relaxing and pleasant. It's definitely a worthwhile choice when visiting Lugu Lake, and I'd consider staying here again next time."
