Cleanliness: Relatively clean.
Ambiance: You can see the lake right from your bed, perfect for a relaxing getaway.
Service: The service was excellent. We arrived very late, and our butler, Zhima, waited until 11 or 12 PM to help with our luggage. In the morning, she reminded us about breakfast, but since we were going on a boat trip, she kept our breakfast warm until we returned. It was lovely to have a hot meal! She also helped us arrange a photoshoot.
Luxury Chinese Afternoon Tea: We arrived too late and missed the afternoon tea, only having breakfast in the morning.
Souvenir: We received a pack of rose brown sugar. 🌹

"This hotel in Lugu Lake is an absolute gem, what an amazing experience! I was so pleasantly surprised by my stay here. The front desk staff were warm and incredibly thoughtful; they contacted me a week in advance, and upon arrival, they proactively helped with my luggage. After check-in, they escorted us to our room and kindly reminded us to turn on the humidifier at night and keep the AC temperature below 20 degrees. In the evening, there's a resident singer on the first floor with a wonderfully soothing voice, and you can order various drinks – it's so relaxing and comfortable. The breakfast selection is rich and fresh, and all the staff members have an excellent attitude. Plus, the complimentary sweet soup at night is fantastic, and the afternoon tea is also delicious. The room facilities are complete and very cozy, and the staff are always responsive and incredibly patient with any requests. Absolutely no regrets about any part of my stay. Next time I visit Lugu Lake, I'll definitely choose this place again. Highly recommended!"

"The hotel environment is excellent, and the staff are very enthusiastic, especially A Wen, who picked us up. One of our rooms even got an upgrade! The local power system is unstable, and I hope the hotel can adjust the TV system. It's a bit startling if the power goes out in the middle of the night! Getting in and out of the hotel parking lot is a bit tricky; it feels like taking a driving test every day! Lugu Lake is incredibly beautiful and perfect for unwinding. I hope to have the chance to visit a fourth time soon and stay here again."

"This hotel boasts an elegant, comfortable, and impeccably clean environment. The rooms are spacious and spotless, and the balcony opens up directly to a stunning lake view. The service was absolutely first-class; they even upgraded us for free to a room with an even better view and thoughtfully brought us afternoon tea. The hotel's breakfast selection was also very rich, and I especially have to praise the rice noodles – they were absolutely delicious! We initially planned to stay just one night at Lugu Lake, but we were so captivated by the hotel's ambiance, service, and rooms that we ended up staying an extra night! When we checked out, they overheard that our car was parked in a different lot, so they graciously drove us there in their own car (even though the parking lot was only a few minutes from the hotel). You can feel their genuine warmth and hospitality at all times. I've already recommended it to friends, and my daughter says she wants to stay here again next time we visit Lugu Lake. It's truly, truly, truly excellent!"

"I have to say, the service was excellent. The ladies at the front desk proactively helped with our luggage whenever we came and went, and there was a shuttle service to and from the bus station.
Every time I messaged the concierge, I received an instant reply, which was fantastic. A special shout-out to Drolma, our concierge!
The lakeside view was stunning, and there was a beautiful lakeside restaurant right downstairs.
The room was spotless, with plenty of outlets. I noticed the cleaning staff were very diligent.
Since we left early to see the morning mist, we asked the concierge to save breakfast for us when we returned late. To our surprise, they saved so much food we couldn't even finish it all!
Both our early morning fog tour around the lake and our return journey were recommended by the hotel. The driver was excellent, the price was fair, and there was no hard selling. We highly recommend the driver, Qingdu! Haha."

"The room was spacious and the location was excellent, right in the heart of Daluoshui Village. On-site parking was available. The service was incredibly attentive and prompt. We were upgraded to a lake-view twin room, and the view of the lake from the window was stunning. They even provided complimentary fruit and afternoon tea. The rice noodles at breakfast were especially delicious. It was very quiet at night and the mattress was super comfortable. The courtyard was also beautiful, and the kids absolutely loved it. "There are so many B&Bs in Lugu Lake that it’s difficult to choose. After seeing this place in a certain book, I decided, it was really the right place. The boss added me on WeChat two days in advance and told me the details of coming from the airport and picking me up. I was upgraded to a room when I arrived at the hotel, which was very satisfying.
Speaking of which, the B&B here is too busy. I was amazed by the small courtyard when I entered. There were all kinds of tents, camping chairs, campers, and a boatload of meat. "I rarely leave reviews, but I really didn't want to leave, so I'm writing this on the road. I booked this hotel specifically for its lake-view restaurant. Even though I knew it had many positive reviews and would be good, it still far exceeded my expectations after checking in.
The facilities are excellent, and the attention to detail is impressive. It's rare to find a place that even provides alcohol wipes and face towels, which shows they genuinely care about their guests. Even as a germaphobe, I couldn't find a single flaw with the cleanliness. The service, in particular, deserves a special mention. Both the front desk lady and the shuttle driver were warm, considerate, and professional. Upon arrival, the front desk proactively upgraded my room and thoughtfully showed me both the original and upgraded room types so I could choose for myself. The shuttle driver was also always responsive and meticulous.
Regarding the environment, both the public areas and the rooms seamlessly blend with the scenery of Lugu Lake. Just sitting by the window in the room, enjoying the view, was incredibly relaxing. The restaurant offers even more breathtaking panoramic views of the lake and mountains. The hotel's ambiance perfectly mirrors Lugu Lake itself – serene, elegant, and secluded.
Compared to Lijiang, Dali, or Shangri-La, Lugu Lake lacks the over-commercialized hustle and bustle, offering more pristine, natural beauty, especially during the off-season. It's tranquil and leisurely, perfect for unwinding and contemplation.

"We had a comfortable stay here, breakfast was provided and beds were comfortable. You walk out and you are facing the Lugu lake too! A beautiful site.
Only thing was that towels provided were disposable, and some room lights needed fixing.
Hosts are really friendly and reply WeChat timely.
There isn’t an elevator on the facilities and you might initially think you arrive at the wrong place when you arrive by car.
You would need to walk through a backyard of a local house before you reach the accoms.
They do ask for feedback about your stay which I really appreciate. And they have explained some concepts after my feedback. I think this is a nice accoms to consider for your stay. They do adjust their amenities according to past feedback too. Family room was kind of fun!"

The view on the second floor is even better, and the lawn is great for taking photos. They also provide afternoon tea, and there is a dedicated parking lot. AAnonymous UserThis was by far the most satisfying hotel I stayed at in Lugu Lake! It's located halfway up the mountain, so you wake up to stunning views of the lake. The scenery is absolutely breathtaking. The hotel's afternoon tea and breakfast were both incredibly rich and delicious! There are also many activities to enjoy, like the bonfire party and bonfire night talks, which were a lot of fun! The public area on the 3rd floor is super photogenic, and the 'sky bird's nest' is a must-visit for photos – every snap feels like you're not even in China! The staff's service was warm and attentive. Since transportation isn't very convenient in Lugu Lake, the hotel offered unlimited shuttle services, which was truly thoughtful! I'll definitely choose to stay here again next time I visit.

GGuest UserAnother absolute gem in Yunnan. The price is relatively affordable and all you get for it is totally worth it. The views outward the hotel lobby is stunning and the decor of the interior is very cozy and fitting. You have a full view of the lake from the front unobstructed.
Rooms have everything basic and more. Relatively spacious and decorated very extensively, cozy and comfortable setting and bed. Nice setup in the bathroom area and shower is spacious. Toilet with automated bidet is also nice. For those who like bathing there is a bath with mountainside views and bath salts/supplies given.
The AI and automated curtains add a nice touch, though this one is more primitive than xiaodu.
Staff were very kind and helpful，offered to drop me off at the bus stop and served dessert at night.

The young staff have limited English but more than make up for it with their level of service and the translator app. They even set up a groups chat in WeChat just to advise us and ensure we were in touch.
Location is great (except for the fact that there’s the road below the hotel)
Hotel itself is brilliant. Phenomenal rooms. Great meals. Very personal touch and an ever willing / cheerful / helpful group of very competent youngsters managing. The whole crew looked under 30 but did a great job.
Was an absolute pity we only stayed 2 nights. Next time a week at least! Definitely coming back.

MM521165****The hotel boasts excellent design, and the staff are incredibly warm and attentive, making you feel right at home! Our room had a breathtaking view of Lugu Lake; we could open the window and see it, and it was just a short walk to the lakeside where we could even take a 'pig trough boat.' The owner is a local Mosuo person, very polite and hospitable. We also got to visit their unique grandmother's house. Getting to Mount Gemu Goddess was also very convenient, and we even asked the owner for travel tips. The cleanliness was exceptional, truly a five-star cleaning experience. There wasn't a speck of dust anywhere, the glass was sparkling clean without any fingerprints. The bathroom fixtures were TOTO brand, and the bedding was high-end and very comfortable! The breakfast was delicious and exquisite!
The morning mist over Lugu Lake is truly beautiful!
I highly recommend this place to everyone!

The view is unblocked, and we had a nice walk by the lake. There is a cafe beside the hotel which served nice drinks and food. The view from the cafe was excellent, and we would highly recommend paying a visit there! The room had a nice, cozy feeling and a spacious balcony. There aren't many restaurants in this particular town, but the main town is about a 15 minute walk or 2 minute drive from the hotel. However, the hotel is able to provide dinner! They have a several options to choose from like noodles and hotpot, and the prices are extremely affordable! The hotpot was really delicious as well, and the breakfast was scrumptious! In the morning, there will be dew above the waters of the lake, and the view is simply stunning. Overall, we had a really great experience here thanks to the helpful and friendly staff!

MM293316****This guesthouse is right on the lake, so you can sit outside and just relax, watching the lake and the seagulls. The housekeeper, Erche, provided excellent service. When we needed more chairs, he brought them out specially for us. The pick-up and drop-off service was also great. Our room was clean and tidy, and the heating was very strong and warm. When we checked out, they even gave us traditional brown sugar as a gift. We'll definitely be back, and I hope we can get a room again next time!
