We celebrated our first wedding anniversary and my son’s 5th birthday at Belmont Hotel Mactan, and the experience was truly unforgettable. From the entrance to our room, everything smelled clean and luxurious. The room was spotless, and the ambiance made us feel like VIPs throughout our stay.
The staff were incredibly accommodating when I requested a kettle for hot water, they prepared it right away. We also appreciated the easy access to Newtown Mactan Beach. Even when we forgot our beach pass, the reception found a way to assist us, and the fitness center staff were very friendly.
They’re not strict, and maybe that’s why many guests love staying here because the service truly stands out. The most magical part was experiencing fireworks on the night of our anniversary. It made our celebration extra special and memorable. We’re definitely planning to come back! Highly recommended.
Stayed here for 4 nights. It was lovely except for the aircon which is connected to the sliding door that whenever you open the door, the aircon will automatically turn off haha but the food was great! Location wise, very near to Panglao airport and one tricycle ride from the city centre. Staffs were helpful and accommodating.
Amazing stay and service
Breakfast could have been better for a vegetarian but overall veryyyyyy good place with pick up and drop off
We enjoyed our stay

Great overall experience but just one noticeable comment is when we requested to clean the room, there are cups and utensils not replaced and still in the room when we return.
The beach and the pool are nice but no water in the shower and restroom when we went there like 8-9am.

The location of hotel is very convenient. Comfortable room, after our request, staff gave us 3rd bed and all accessories. Beds were soft and fresh and we had everything for hair, body and teeth hygiene. No cockroaches. Incide bathroom a little problem because if your take shower the floor will be wet, but after 2 hours all dry. Small fridge cooled good. The breakfast was really gorgeous, mix of European and Filipino food. Everything was tasty. Also included fruits and different drinks (besides alcohol). At 19th floor a small, not deep pool with fascinating view+gym. Worker gave us beach towels. In addition, we want more bigger water, because Cebu is very hot city. But at the end it was a good experience with hotels in Philippines. We are satisfied with our living here 🌹

We stayed at the Waterfront for one night to attend the Hillsong concert, and our experience was absolutely wonderful! The room was stunning—I fell in love with its charming vintage ambiance. It was impeccably clean, beautifully scented, and wonderfully soundproof. To our delight, we were upgraded from a standard room to a Superior—thank you, Waterfront!
The staff truly made our stay exceptional, especially the front desk team. Check-in and check-out were effortless, smooth, and welcoming. Breakfasts were a delight, offering a fantastic start to our day.
The Wi-Fi was a bit congested, likely due to the concert that evening, but thankfully we had our backup ready—no worries there!
A special shoutout to the Christmas tree—it’s absolutely breathtaking and added such a magical touch to our stay.
Overall, a memorable one-night stay, and we can’t wait to return!
Stayed at the hotel for three nights, the hotel is very new, although small but the facilities are very good, facing the beach and the sea (although it is black sand beach). Breakfast is delicious, if you don't have time to eat, you can ask the hotel to prepare a sandwich. I have eaten a few meals at the hotel, but it is more expensive than the outside, but it is recommended. The hotel also has a horse to kill the chicken, but there is no special room. It is made on the beach chair by the pool. The price is more expensive than the outside, but the experience is Not bad. The only bad thing is that the hotel location is cheaper. Come in and take a bad road. We were also found on Google Maps. It would be a bit painful to take the baggage. The hotel is 20 kilometers away from the city, it is more troublesome to go out, you can sit on the yellow bus is very cheap. It is recommended that people who like a quiet holiday come, otherwise it is better to live in the city. The chickens in the house next to the hotel like to call in the middle of the night. If the room is close, it will be a bit noisy.
We had a wonderful stay at Solea. From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly accommodating especially with our requests and went above and beyond to ensure our comfort.
The room was spacious, clean, and beautifully designed, providing the perfect blend of comfort and style. The hotel’s amenities were also exceptional, with a relaxing pool and dining options that offered delicious meals and a variety of choices to suit everyone’s taste.
What stood out most was the impeccable service, their readiness to assist, the staff made us feel truly valued.
Solea is perfect for families and friends looking for a relaxing getaway. Whether you’re planning a family vacation, a trip with friends, or just need a break, this hotel is a good choice.
Thank you, Solea, for making our stay so memorable.
So, Only Seed Hotel... hmm, where do I start? The room was okay, but you know when the pics online look way better? Yeah, that. I think they use photos of, like, all their rooms for the standard king, 'cause I was picturing something bigger. The shower was a struggle – was the water even hot? Who knows!
The separate toilet and shower thing? Cute idea, but brrr! Still freezing in there because of the gaps up top. And OMG, when my hubby showered, the toilet flooded! The seal is a joke. And the bidet? Let's just say it's like a power washer for your lady bits. Ouch!
But hey, free water! That's a win. And the breakfast? Sarap! Not too salty, just right. I was shook when they brought out the whole spread – fruit, coffee, juice... all of it! Tapsilog was on point. They even nailed the eggs – sunnyside up for me, cooked yolk for the hubs. Plus, a whole plate of watermelon each! The juice and coffee were legit.
The pool looked Insta-worthy, but we were zonked from our countryside tour. Plus, it closes early. The location's a bit out of the way, but there's street food nearby for when you're tipid. Not the best grub, but busog is busog, right?
Would I stay again? Ewan ko. The staff were super nice, though. But no phones in the room? Ugh, gotta trek to the front desk next door for everything. Not fun in the Bohol heat! 😅 But they did decorate the room for our anniversary, which was a nice touch.
Sarap: Delicious
Tipid: Frugal/Thrifty
Busog: Full/Satisfied
Ewan ko: I don't know
It's located at the heart of the city so, it was so convenient to stay at this hotel. The staffs were so accomodating and friendly. We enjoyed our stay!

BBubbleChimpGood for experienced divers but not for new divers, solo travellers, relaxing beach time or a deluxe experience even though it was £200+ a night so I did not think it was good value.
For me it was just the wrong choice and I didn't do enough research. The main disappointment comes down to me basing my expectations on the price instead of the 3 star rating. I haven't paid that much for a hotel before and usually go for 4 or 5 star places so I just don't understand the pricing, maybe that's just how it is in the Philippines. The staff and service are good, breakfast and the room are ok, spa and diving are the good amenities so it might be the diving location which warrants the price.
Lunch and dinner are good. I recommend the honey yoghurt muesli with mango and the chicken salad (with a dressing) for breakfast. Everything I had on the lunch/dinner menu was great - the tom kha gai soup, Dorado, burger, curry etc all good. Small range of beers and cocktails available but cocktails were good too.
The room and bathroom are fine for 3 star standards. There is termite stuff falling from the wood beams and dead moths or similar insects on shelves which did not get cleaned away.
The Swedish massage was good, I recommend Gail. The shiatsu was painful and pinched my skin so she switched to Swedish. The pool is murky and not enticing to swim in, lots of mozzies around it too.
I much preferred the beach and water conditions further down at Dauin. I like to relax on a nice beach and swim etc. that's where the great snorkeling is too. But the water at Atlantis is too rough and windy and the beach too narrow.
Although the dive masters are great for leading dives and probably for the other diving skills, I wouldn't recommend getting your open water certificate here especially if you're at all nervous about it. There were some differences with the SSI videos like being able to practise boat entry in the pool first and using a snorkel that I would have preferred what with the condition of the water there. The beach, water and entry conditions are so much better 20-30min down the beach at Dauin, Bongo Bongo beach. I managed to earn my open water and it was the reason for this trip but it wasn't a pleasant experience and I watched the divers enter at Dauin quite jealously.
Considering you can do 4-5 dives a day here plus a day for Apo island, I think 3-4 days here would be perfect.
The hotel tour prices were a bit more expensive than others I found and they do not arrange joiner tours so as a solo traveller, their tours were prohibitively expensive. For some reason there were no joiner tours available outside the hotel either, I don't know if that's because of the season (jan-feb) or that's usual for the Philippines but it's the first time I've experienced that in my travels.
The tour to Apo Island is good and well arranged. The only thing is as a snorkeler you have to wait until after lunch to get to the shallow turtle area but it was great and a benefit of going with the hotel is you leave on their boat right from the hotel, no need to drive to the ferry.
JJan MoreThe staff were so nice and accommodating. They truly cared for us when the earthquake happened on the night we were sleeping in our rooms. We used the stairs from the 5th floor post incident fearing for the aftershocks…we all stayed by the under renovation pool to stay away from the building in case it collapsed. The building swayed so much with the 6.9 magnitude..it was scary. The staff were calm and kept us all comfortable despite being scared themselves too. They helped us all moved to the 2nd floor after midnight post safety inspection.
BBea TanI recently had the pleasure of staying at Sede Bloc Hotel in Cebu, and I couldn’t be happier with my experience. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted by warm and friendly staff who went out of their way to make me feel welcome and comfortable throughout my stay. Their genuine hospitality truly added to the overall positive atmosphere of the hotel.
The room I stayed in was spotlessly clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully designed. It had all the basic amenities I needed, and the bed was very comfortable—perfect after a long day of exploring the city.
One of the best things about Sede Bloc Hotel is its convenient location. It’s situated within walking distance of several malls and popular establishments, making it incredibly easy to shop, dine, or just stroll around the area. Whether you’re visiting Cebu for business or leisure, you’ll appreciate the accessibility and vibrant surroundings.
Overall, I had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend Sede Bloc Hotel to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, and conveniently located place to stay in Cebu. I would definitely return on my next visit!
GGuest UserWe had our best stay in Cebu, thanks to Holiday Inn, we had the perfect buffet breakfast to start the day and free coffee in the afternoon. Very nice view also of the Business Park at night, and very hospitable staff! We will surely come back!

JJesse AcasoI'm kinda disappointed in my stay here because the fact that I compared this branch with Panglao branch, so i was expecting the same amenities. The service were the same all smiles to all the customers but I'm disappointed for the amenities because my room doesn't have hot shower and the building needs for detailed upgrade. I booked on this building as I was hoping it's newly renovated the place was new however some furniture way outdated and needs a more thorough upgrade. Love the earth restaurant still 🩷🧡💛
BBaimajunzai2000Facilities: Hot water shower and air conditioning are good. But there are no other facilities in the room, no kettle, no hair dryer. You need to bring your own kettle, or go to the front desk to get a cup and pour water.
Hygiene: The room is cleaned every day, but the swimming pool is open 24 hours a day. I don’t know how to maintain it, so I didn’t dare to go to the swimming pool. Fortunately, it’s close to the sea, so you can just swim in the sea.
Environment: Both entering and exiting require a long and rugged road. Close to the sea, you can go snorkeling. It's just a hotel, without any star-level services provided, and there is a service fee charged at the end. It is incorrect to list it as a top-ranked local four-star hotel on Ctrip. There should be more options.
Service: Unlike the diving shops in Bohol, there is no safety officer here. We took part in the snorkeling activity, because we went with divers, the guide was not very enthusiastic. There is no introduction leaflet for the event to refer to.
However, it is indeed convenient to go to see the sardines. You can just take a boat and join the activity to get there. No need to go around town.
Special reminder: this fee is not deducted by Ctrip, you need to pay in cash at the store. There is a reminder in the order, please be sure to bring enough cash.
MMPBCWe really enjoyed our stay here. Solea Mactan is far from the city but everything you need is in the hotel already. We loved how they value those families traveling because they have a play area for kids and kids at heart. There are also lots of swimming pools although I think the beach area could be better. They also have these freebies which we really appreciated. Breakfast was also good!
