Bintan Beach Hotels

"We booked the place following Instagram reel saying kids friendly, I would say it was okay but didn’t meet our expectations (as we regularly stay the residence and I paid 30＞ higher price here compared to to residence since we wanted to try something near ferry terminal and was highly rated on IG for kids. We booked 3 nights, 2 adults one 2 years baby. Experience Good: - kids club play room big and nice, offering indoor, outdoor and splash zone free - free dine in for kids with food that kids will actually eat - got 2 pools, adult and family (with child pool). Pool size is good - they printed the ferry ticket in advance so we didn’t have to queue while going back Bad: - rooms are not so kids friendly, small shower area, too many pillows every where - king size bed is actually doesn’t feel king size but rather queen size - we walk in to restaurant for dinner 2nd night got denied cause they had bbq event running, and never suggested to book in advance (they offered slot 8 pm for 6:20 walk in) with small kid along, I am not sure they understand kid doesn’t wait fr 8 pm and the didn’t even bother to offer kids meal to at least address the kid. We ended up eating on the side fries and in room dining which takes about 45 min to 1 hour - safari we were told 9 am but then actual time was 10 am pick so we ended up waiting 1 hour at the lobby - not sure if they understand kid doesn’t like to sit for 1 hour not doing anything and we rushed our breakfast for the timing - free juices for kids and breakfast buffet is not fresh juice unless you paid then got fresh juice - breakfast buffet ok ok, no teh tarik 😝 - breakfast very limited options for vegetarian - the shuttle dropped us at the emerald class lounge where we were economh means we had to walk with baby and luggage all the way - you can only access dining area of indigo subject to you book in advance - for beach you need buggy to go not you can just walk as and when you want I would say, okay but not something I like, but it’s nearer to ferry"

"Pros: - cozy villa with a private pool, perfect for families and friends - good service, just WhatsApp them for anything - choose from the menu and breakfast is served straight to your villa - sizable rooms and bathrooms - right next to Lagoi Bay and Plaza, where there are other food options and a small local fair if you happen to be there on a weekend Cons: - 1 hour drive away from city so pretty much nothing to do outside of the villa (no cab there either - either rent or hire a car) - Limited breakfast timings, we were only left with 8:30am and the food was at best lukewarm when delivered (stick with local food options and black coffee) - bedsheets had some stains - bathroom in one of the rooms is open aired and a variety of insects were just flying in and out That being said, it was still a good experience. Would recommend!"

"I recently stayed two nights at Four Points Bintan and enjoyed the experience. The view impressed me from the moment I arrived. The pool felt calm and refreshing. The staff gave warm and consistent service. The room felt clean, spacious, and comfortable. The location gave me quick access to the ferry terminal, which made travel easy. You can improve the stay by offering more food and beverage options. A small grocery mart inside the hotel will help guests pick up essentials. The lounge menu can include more international choices and simple sandwiches. This will help guests who wait for their ferries in the afternoon at the lobby. Overall, the stay felt smooth and pleasant."

"Saw some negative review from Google or Trip.com, but I still decided to choose for this resort because of the locations. Also, that after spoke with the driver and I know that the view of the beach of this resort is actually the best one in bintan. It’s quite expensive to eat inside the resort, especially the Indian food at night. I went to the Chinese restaurant, but we didn’t order the seafood. The waiter is very helpful and very nice and polite. We order for the medium person, but he advised us not to choose that because the portion is really big."

"It was a perfect spot. Near Holiday Inn and Hotel Indigo. Next to Lagoi Plaza. Accessible to the beach and mall. There are e-bikes which we could rent at SGD 20 per hour. Right behind the hotel there is a HUGE lake and i mean it, HUGE. We rented the e-bike to explore the area and the lake until my e-bike battery went down to one bar. Hahaha.. But it was an awesome experience. The pool however would be good if they have a heater. It was soooooo cold."

"The resort arranged free shuttle for pick up from Bintan Ferry Terminal for a nearly 80 minutes drive with bottled waters and cookies served. Quite thoughtful! We stayed at two Garden terrace inter-connected rooms with a family of four. The rooms were quite spacious and well maintained. The resort provides 2 bicycles per room for mobility within the resort, which is a well landscaped expanse. Thoroughly enjoyed our bicycle rides. We also used the buggy rides for getting around the resort, which was quicker and more easier. The staff were courteous and warm. Few to name are 1. Kiki from the Earth Basket who engaged enthusiastically with us to show us around the fish ponds, rabbits and the various plants. 2. Kay and Ganjar from the The Dining Room (main restaurant which serves diverse cuisine) are warm and welcoming. 3. Intan from Rika Rika (Indonesian cuisine) is full of smiles and agile to serve customised order. Weather was just perfect and overall we had a pleasant, refreshing stay. Few areas the resort should focus on - the staff at The Dining Room were understaffed and found to be tired/ sweating. We found the Food variety and quality at the Christmas Eve Dinner disappointing for the price charged. The Indonesian cuisine at Rica Rica was more tastier though less in variety. We enjoyed the Stargazing, leisurely walks at the beach, bicycling, though we missed the water sports due to monsoons. Overall, we do plan to visit this resort sometime again for sure."

"After watching the rennovation from the golfcourse a few times, now we had the opportunity to stay at the new Movenpick resort Bintan in their soft-launch period. Although they still need to do some work, we absolutely enjoyed our stay in combination with the golfcourse. The staff is super friendly and helpfull. The food in the restaurant is very good, we tried the local food. Probably they will increase the number of dishes when fully opened. Breakfast very good: mix of buffet and a la cart. Local and international. Fresh juices. Little problems , part of opening a new hotel,  were tackled immediately.  Overall a great golf / relax experience. We will come back soon. Also need to try the Japanese restaurant."

"Service was great, they sent a buggy to send us to our block as it was a bit further away from the reception. Staff were all very friendly, always greeted us when we walk past each other. Nice view too!"

"Had an amazing family escape at the Deluxe Glamp Tent! Perfect for families with teens - loved the space and comfort. Food at Compass Rose was a hit - delish! Treasure Bay was a breeze to get to, simply send a WhatsApp to Concierge & they'll arrive shortly. Only downside was some staff vibes - 3 weren't exactly warm and fuzzy 🙅♂️. Still, can't fault the experience, highly recommend! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️"

"Our stay was just perfect. It is a beautiful Balinese traditional set-up villa, every staff was friendly and so kind and it really touched my heart. It's a bit old property but perfectly maintained, I didn't feel it's old at all and I was rather impressed how well they kept this beautiful villa. You can also notice a great attention to detials, the person (people) came up with this design and architect must be genius! I was worried after seeing the review on bugs, yes there are bugs, but it's perfectly natural cause the villa is in the middle of the nature! That's the charm of this resort. I would be concerned if they use too much chemicals to kill the bugs. I hate bugs but there was nothing harmful - like a roach I always see in HK.. so I was totally ok! There are cute lizards roaming around too, I really loved watching them. I really enjoyed staying in Banyan Tree but most of all it was people who made my stay memorable - everyone smiles and greeted so nicely which really made my trip. They were very attentive and accommodating too. I wish I could go back one day!"
