The room decor was artistic and the room itself was clean and tidy; I was very satisfied with my stay. The only minor drawback was the slightly low water pressure in the bathroom. It was sufficient for showering, but a stronger flow would have been better. Breakfast was inexpensive and offered a good variety. The hotel provides airport transfer, which needs to be booked in advance. It's also a short taxi ride, just a few minutes to T4.

The room, windows, and bed were all very spacious. I booked a city view room, and since it was on the corner, I actually had a perfect sea view too! I didn't even want to leave the room; just sitting there enjoying a cup of tea was incredibly relaxing.

Everything you could possibly need was provided: a safe, tea-making facilities, an extra duvet, and even hand cream – things you don't find in other hotels. 

Taking the kids to the guest facilities downstairs made time fly by. 

The only slight downside was the lack of a laundry room, so I had nowhere to dry my clothes after washing them!

Upon landing at the airport, I was pleased to find that the hotel offers a pickup service. As soon as I contacted them, the driver called me right away to confirm my location – very efficient and great service! Since I arrived early, the hotel had complimentary facial recognition lockers for luggage storage, which was super convenient and quick. Knowing I was specifically there to capture photos of the soon-to-be-closed Gaoqi Airport, the hotel thoughtfully reserved a top-floor room for me, which was a lovely touch. The room itself was well-maintained, came with a mini-fridge, and was spotlessly clean – no trash or odd items lying around. They also included a free breakfast, which was extensive and delicious, featuring freshly made Shacha noodles that tasted wonderfully authentic. This hotel experience, right before Gaoqi Airport closes, was truly excellent! 👍

This was the third hotel I stayed at during my trip to Xiamen. It used to be a Westin, a well-known five-star hotel. I had to use navigation for the new name several times when taking a taxi, but if I just said 'Westin,' the drivers knew exactly where to go. The name has changed, but it's still a five-star hotel with five-star service. From the bellhops at the entrance and in the lobby, to the lobby manager, front desk staff, and housekeeping on the floors – everyone was incredibly professional, warm, and polite. They even upgraded me to an executive suite for this stay, and coincidentally, it was my birthday on the day I checked in – I'm very grateful! The room was huge and luxurious, and I stayed for three nights. The view from the window was beautiful. The hotel breakfast was also very diverse and well-managed, with plates cleared promptly. I really enjoyed my stay here and will definitely choose this hotel again when I come back to Xiamen.

An ideal choice for families with young children, with impeccable attention to detail and unbeatable convenience!

This stay truly exceeded our expectations! First off, the room was incredibly spacious. What impressed me most was the separate wet and dry areas in the bathroom and bedroom – after putting the baby to sleep at night, we could comfortably wash up and pack our bags without worrying about disturbing them. This design is so thoughtful for families with kids.

The hotel amenities are also quite comprehensive. Not only is there a bathtub, but also a private pool, and our child absolutely loved playing in the water. Even better, the hotel is super close to the beach, just a few minutes' walk away. Taking the kids to explore the beach and dig in the sand was incredibly convenient, and going back and forth multiple times a day was no problem at all. Breakfast was also plentiful and delicious, satisfying both adults and children. All in all, it was an impeccable and delightful trip. Highly recommended with five stars, we'll definitely be back!

For this price point, this hotel offers incredible value for money. It boasts a massive 150-acre public area, which is quite rare for hotels in China. It's perfectly suited for families with children, and they even offer complimentary welcome fruit and a bedtime sweet soup. The details for family-friendly amenities are also very well done. However, the front desk staff who checked me in could use some more training, as they seemed a bit unfamiliar with the process. I also wish there were more dining options – that would make it absolutely perfect, haha!

The hotel has a simple yet cozy decor. The hot water supply is ample with good pressure, making for a very comfortable shower. The soundproofing is excellent, so it's very quiet at night. It's conveniently located near Baolong Yicheng and Wanda Plaza, making daily life easy. Highly recommended.

The room had a great orientation. The fridge met my daily needs, and the front desk staff was very friendly. They even offered a shuttle service for the concert, which was a nice touch. Overall, it was a very good stay. The only issue was a smoky smell when I first entered the room, but it seems to be a common problem in Xiamen as all the hotels I stayed in had it. Considering everything, it's still a great choice. It's close to the airport, only about a ten-minute drive, which is very convenient.

We had a wonderful stay at Portman Hotel, and the picturesque surroundings truly made our experience special. The views are simply stunning, creating a beautiful backdrop for our getaway. 

The staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating, always ready to assist with any requests or questions we had, which made our stay even more enjoyable. There were plenty of activities available for both children and adults, ensuring that everyone had a great time. 

We especially loved the indoor pool area—it was a perfect spot to relax and unwind while still enjoying the hotel’s ambiance. Overall, Portman Hotel exceeded our expectations, and we can’t wait to return for another memorable stay! Highly recommend it!

This hotel is really great! I honestly didn't expect such a good place at this price point. The room was much more spacious than I anticipated, and the decor was stylish, not just another cookie-cutter business style. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and I slept like a baby. In the evening, I ordered some takeout to my room, and 'Huaxing' at the front desk had a robot deliver it super fast, which was a fantastic experience – perfect for someone like me who's on a business trip for several days. It's excellent value for money, and I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in town!

Overall, it was quite good, with warm and proactive service.

I'd like to specifically mention a few staff members:
1. Ms. Xigua at the front desk: She gave a detailed introduction to the hotel's facilities upon check-in and provided timely assistance with information throughout my stay.
2. In the evening, an intern at the Kids' Play Center on the 3rd floor was very engaging, and the children were reluctant to leave.
3. The cleanliness was particularly satisfying. Areas like the Kids' Play Center, reading room, and public restrooms were spotless, which many hotels fail to achieve.

The overall experience was good. I do have a few suggestions: the dining options could be improved. I tried two buffets, and the variety was quite limited, especially at the main building's breakfast restaurant. It felt a bit out of sync with the hotel's positioning, and the taste was just average. I had intended to go to the Chinese restaurant, but perhaps I was too early; when I asked the server if I could order à la carte instead of just the set menu, there was no response (maybe it wasn't their working hours yet), which was a bit disappointing. Also, I'm not sure if it's due to the off-season, but for energy-saving reasons, the air conditioning usage was distinctly zoned, with some areas being well-cooled and others barely at all. Furthermore, the hotel lacked background music and a fragrance system. For a beachfront resort and business hotel, missing these elements made it feel a bit less upscale.

As someone who used to work in the industry, some aspects are understandable, while other issues could be avoided and improved upon. Overall, I was very satisfied, and my child had a great time!

The hotel industry is tough; keep up the great work!

The front desk staff, particularly Xiao Le, was very polite and attentive. They even upgraded my room for free, which was a nice touch. It's also conveniently located for getting to the airport.
