This hotel has a undeniably beautiful view of Shanghai from the 38th floor lobby. Although not a new hotel but the hotel is well maintained and the service is superb. Especially Anna at the front desk is very professional and friendly. Also I would reconnect to sit down and have something to drink at the lobby lounge on 38th floor while looking out at the great view. The vindow seats are perfect. Lisa at the lobby lounge prepared the tea and served it for me. She has a good attitude and is very attentive. She refilled the hot water for my tea on time. Awesome all in all!

This was my first time staying at this hotel, and I had a great impression. So, for my second trip, I chose it again. However, after getting my room card, the moment I stepped out of the elevator on the 20th floor, there was a strange smell. The room itself also had a musty odor. The front desk explained it was due to the humidity by the river. My first stay was a completely different experience. Later, I switched to a river-view room on the 21st floor, and there was no strange smell there. I'm providing this feedback honestly, hoping the hotel will genuinely make improvements, rather than taking a chance by assigning rooms with issues and then rectifying them only when problems are discovered.

The hotel is located in the middle of Shanghai Fish, suitable for self-driving, but not convenient for public transportation.
If there is a vacancy, you can check in before 12 o'clock, and all hotel staff are polite. A deposit is required for check-in, but it is refunded in seconds when checking out. Unfortunately, the ”butler service” has never been seen.
The room facilities are new, various operating surfaces are spacious, and it is close enough to get out of bed to the bathroom. There are 4 bath towels and large and small towels. The balcony is slightly small.
At the entrance of the breakfast room, there is a reminder of dining congestion, which is indeed the case.
In addition, the hotel is not together with the conference center, and it is often seen that takeaways choose the wrong address.

A heartfelt thank you to my personal butler, Sharon. From check-in to every minor detail, her responses were incredibly prompt, and she was very attentive to our stay experience. The rest of the staff were also exceptionally friendly, making us feel incredibly welcome and at home 🫰.

The hotel boasts excellent views, and its proximity to Chegongmiao Metro Station exit (less than a 5-minute walk) was a major plus! Blue taxis are always readily available right outside the entrance.

Regarding the facilities: Being an older hotel (built in 2009), it understandably shows its age, but everything remains within acceptable standards. The shower temperature control could sometimes be inconsistent, fluctuating between too hot and too cold, which was a slight drawback 😥. Additionally, the room lighting was a bit dim, and the older television didn't support screen casting.

Despite these minor points, my overall experience was excellent. A huge thank you to Sharon and all the staff at JW Hotel; your warmth and patience genuinely made me fall in love with this city ❤️.

The hotel rooms were on the smaller side, and the price was quite steep (over 1200 RMB per night, not including breakfast). My stay was largely disappointing due to two main issues:

1. Upon arrival, the security guard informed us there were no available parking spots and offered no guidance on where to park. Navigating an unfamiliar area to find parking proved highly inconvenient.
2. The room itself was narrow, with one bed positioned uncomfortably close to the bathroom entrance. This greatly reduced the overall value for money.

Furthermore, two other incidents left a particularly sour taste:

1. The security deposit was not refunded instantly upon check-out. I had to proactively call the next day to inquire, after which the refund was finally processed.
2. The prices for paid items in the mini-bar were not clearly marked. A portion of my deposit was directly deducted at check-out. It was only after a phone call to clarify that I discovered it was for a single coffee capsule and a Snickers bar.

I'd like to specially commend Trip.com's customer service. They were prompt in their response, handled the issues effectively, and provided satisfactory solutions to the problems I faced during my stay.

This was my second time in the JW Marquis in Dubai (2023). The service was still superb. Rooms were cleaned twice a day. Staff was excellent and very polite and correct. Nothing to complain about. More than superb service and for a very reasonable price. Every detail is thought about. The breakfast was extensive, and taste was good. I have to say that I were not that hungry this time in the morning, so I do not dare to say that the food was the problem (fair enough).

The rooms were clean, smelled neutral, were cleaned thoroughly and enough amenities and clean towels. 

Valet parking: perfect. Never had to wait longer than 1 minute before leaving the car. Always picked up correctly, no damages on the car caused by the staff, and always had the car in 5 minutes after giving my ticket to the concierge. 

Location is central and close to downtown and 2 blocks away from the Sheikh Zayed Road.
I would recommened this hotel to anyone!

I recently stayed for 4 nights at the JW Marriott Marina Hotel, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The location is excellent for those who want to be close to the beach, making it great for leisure travelers. However, the nearby mall doesn’t offer many shops, which might be disappointing for shopping enthusiasts. I also feel the hotel would benefit from having a restaurant with live entertainment, as seen in other hotels,this hotel is better suited for business trips rather than leisure stays, given its amenities and overall atmosphere.”
