Our family trip to the JW Marriott Marquis Hotel Shanghai was absolutely perfect! ✨ The river view was stunning! The kids' floor was thoughtfully designed, and they had all the necessary children's amenities. The heated pool with a shallow area was a big hit with our little one. Strolling along the Huangpu River in the mornings and evenings was so relaxing. The hotel itself is luxurious and grand, and the service was incredibly attentive. It's ideal for a short family getaway. The breakfast spread was extensive, offering both Chinese and Western options, plus local Shanghai snacks. The noodle station, where they cooked noodles fresh, was very popular and catered well to kids' tastes. The hotel is right next to the riverside promenade. Highly recommended!

The location is excellent, and the front desk proactively upgraded our room, which was a nice gesture. The hotel property is a bit old, and the facilities are dated, but daily maintenance seems adequate.

Initially, I booked for 2 nights, but due to changes in my travel plans, I wanted to extend to 4 nights. During my stay, I inquired about the monthly rate for a long-term stay. A staff member took down my contact information and promised that a colleague would follow up, but I never received any callback, even by check-out.

Each time we extended our stay, we had to go to the front desk to reactivate our room key cards. The lobby is on the 38th floor, requiring an elevator transfer. The underground parking lot lacks clear hotel signage, so if you're driving, you have to figure out the route yourself. Parking costs 50 yuan per day.

The biggest drawback of this experience was the obvious flaw in internal communication. I had requested a late check-out until 2 PM. However, at noon, I received multiple calls from housekeeping and had staff knocking on my door repeatedly asking about extending our stay or checking out. The constant disturbance ultimately forced me to check out early with my child and move to another hotel.

The lobby staff were polite on the surface, but they lacked proactive service awareness. I was traveling with a child, and not once did anyone offer slippers or bath towels (I brought my own toiletries, so this is just an objective observation).

Compared to hotels of a similar caliber, there's a significant gap in the meticulousness of their service, which I believe is the main reason for the branch's low overall rating.

The hotel environment is beautiful. I got upgraded to a lake view room. Every staff member I encountered greeted me proactively and was very enthusiastic. The hotel's evening buffet had a wide variety of dishes and is definitely worth trying. They have freshly stir-fried seafood and seasonal vegetables, all very fresh. Breakfast was a bit crowded, and I had to queue for a while. They offer special lamb noodles in the morning. The outdoor swimming pool is great for photos, though it can be a bit sunny. I'd definitely come back if I have the chance.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A very satisfying stay.

I stayed in a Deluxe Select Twin Room (high floor). Trip.com stated floors 16-20, but my room was on the 15th floor.

The room was incredibly spacious. Even with a family of four, the twin room wouldn't feel crowded. The overall decor maintains JW Marriott's consistent sophisticated business style, with wood finishes and warm lighting. While not the latest design trend, it exudes quality and is exceptionally well-maintained, creating a comfortable yet upscale atmosphere.

The bedding was soft and comfortable, and the mattress offered excellent support, leading to a very peaceful night's sleep. The room was equipped with a sofa, desk, and coffee table, making it convenient for both business and family travel. The extra-wide floor-to-ceiling windows provided ample natural light, and with soft lighting at night, the ambiance was wonderful.

The bathroom was spacious, featuring marble design, a separate bathtub and shower, ensuring true wet/dry separation. The vanity area was ample, with exquisite craftsmanship in the details. Overall, it fully met the standards expected of a high-end hotel.

Additionally, the wardrobe and storage space were very generous, equipped with a safe, bathrobes, mini-fridge, and other amenities.

Highlights:
* Extra-wide floor-to-ceiling windows, spacious and comfortable room with a well-designed layout.
* Excellent bedding quality, providing a great sleep experience.
* Luxurious bathroom with a convenient separate bathtub and shower.
* Clean and tidy.
* Very suitable for business trips and family stays.
* Excellent location, approximately a 3-minute walk to Chegongmiao Station Exit J1 on Metro Line 1, making it very convenient to reach Futian, Luohu Port, and other areas.
* All hotel staff were very warm, polite, and professional, reflecting JW Marriott's consistently high standards.

My only minor suggestion:
The hotel is generally very well-maintained, but if some in-room facilities could be upgraded in the future, I believe the stay experience would be even more perfect.

Overall, it's a highly recommended hotel.

Our stay at the Qianhai Marriott Hotel was absolutely perfect, especially as we were celebrating our anniversary. The hotel's facilities are excellent, and the bay view is breathtaking. A special thank you to Cassie (3135) from the GR team. Upon learning that it was our anniversary and we had a special room setup request, she proactively connected with me on WeChat.

The initial communication was incredibly detailed and efficient. She thoughtfully assisted us with an upgrade to a premium bay view room and coordinated a beautiful anniversary room decoration, complete with fresh flowers and an exquisite cake from the pastry kitchen. My girlfriend absolutely loved it! Every detail showcased JW's care for its guests. We had a very satisfying experience and this will be our top choice for future business trips and getaways with my girlfriend.

My stay at JW Marriott Hotel Beijing Central for my entire trip to Beijing far exceeded my expectations!

The location is incredibly convenient, right next to Xuanwumen subway station. Getting to Tiananmen Square, the Summer Palace, and the National Museum was a breeze. There are also plenty of traditional eateries and delivery options nearby, making it a one-stop shop for food and transportation.

The room was spacious and meticulously clean. Even though it faced the street, it was very quiet. The mattress and pillows were soft, making it incredibly relaxing to come back to after a day of sightseeing. The service was a definite highlight: they offered free luggage storage before check-in and after check-out, which was perfect for my itinerary of visiting attractions during the day, arriving by high-speed rail in the morning, and catching a high-speed rail in the evening.

What truly touched me was the thoughtful gesture. My stay coincided with my birthday, and the hotel proactively sent a beautiful and delicious birthday cake, accompanied by a handwritten card. This little surprise during my trip was incredibly heartwarming. The front desk, concierge, and housekeeping staff were all patient and gentle, and they responded to requests promptly. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of delicious options. Overall, it’s excellent value for money, and I highly recommend it for anyone visiting Beijing!
