Phuket Hostels

"This was my return visit to this hostel, and I must say I was dissppointed. Last time, on another platform, I gave it an 8/10 rating, but now I think I was too generous. Besides smiling, but not good English-speaking staff (and smile doesnt always solve problems like an informed action), and affordable price, it was hard to find all those benefits I thought this hostel had. Hot water dispenser wasnt working, but even cold drinking water wasnt accessible - i had to ask the staff 3 times for somebody to refill the machine. But the next morning empty again - there should be a system in place and not counting on guests for chasing down staff to fix it whenever the water tank is empty. I say chasing as there is rarely someone at the reception. They might be cleaning the rooms (good luck in finding them), but frankly rooms werent that clean. Floors were praying for mopping, dust in the bathroom fan wanted to leave too... there was even a clearly visible stain on my bed sheet upon checking in, but the staff replaced the sheet immediately (they could have spotted it when they were making the bed the first time maybe? Locker was not working, so the member of the staff had to use knife to make it work. The other storage place was also full of some crumble, i assume it is not on the cleaning list too often. AC in the room didnt seem to work properly. There was always a feeling of the temperature being too cold, whether the tehermostat was fixed at 18 or 25 degrees Celsius, you were freezing even undet the blanket. Privacy curtains are still transparent (?), and the doors of the room close loudly. Shower was more of a drizzle - the water pressure did not meet basic requirements. In the first shower, it wasnt even warm. I entered the second one, where the heater was working better, but you could not shower with water practically just dripping on you. All in all, there are other similarly priced hostels in Phuket that offer a better service."

"Amazing hostel for that price, they gave me a room all to myself as it wasn’t so busy, the kitchen has free coffee and the lounge area is quite big. It’s walking distance from the old town Only minor thing just so you know: the common area didn’t have AC on so it can get hot, but the rooms all do :)"

"My first time staying at a deck dorm style.The manager was willing to come, and did check in for me in the middle of the night. Do the 200 Baht refundable deposit. Give me the towel. Informed me to the rule of no sandal/shoes at 2nd floor to maintain the floor kept clean. That is all you can see. Nice room, chill, no noise in the room, and other ”I am sleeping” rules. If you have an issue of not using sandals in the bathroom, then honestly you just need a hotel with a private room. Yeah, upper deck was scary. I dreamt of falling down 😪 Well, deck dorm style is not just for me. But a good experience here, and with 217 Baht (including tax) I paid, it is worth the money. This hotel provides breakfast too. Something I don't really expect 😁😁 They also give me a key gift over a checkout. For sure, I get my 200 Baht back."

"Transportation is very convenient; the bus to the beach is right downstairs. It's super close to the Sunday night market, which is great if you enjoy weekend night markets. It's also close to the Taipan Market. The bedding in the room was very comfortable, and there's a kitchen with a microwave. Walking on the wooden walkway upstairs can be a little noisy for guests, but overall it didn't affect sleep. The front desk service is until 7 pm. I wanted to ask if they had a hairdryer after washing my hair, but they couldn't find one."

"The bed was a bit small. It's a quiet village, being a local aboriginal village in the countryside. The noise from the air conditioner was a bit bothersome. Overall, it's decent for the price.^ There's a convenience store about 100 meters away. About 200 meters away, there are restaurants."

"The staff were very considerate, confirming my check-in time beforehand. Because my flight arrived late, I opted for self-check-in that day, leaving my form and key at the counter. Phuket Old Town is within walking distance. Entry and exit require a password and removing shoes. If I had to suggest something that could be improved, I'd recommend adding more information and notes to the self-check-in form, such as mentioning that water is available in the kitchen. That would be much more helpful. Because it was late that night, I assumed there wouldn't be any water provided, and that the refrigerator next to the counter was locked and required payment. However, I inquired with the staff the next morning and found it wasn't a major issue."

"True to the photos. A small 'plus' would be a coffee corner and some dividing curtains. They are very responsive if you ask a question."

"Great hotel! First, I booked it for one night but then ended up extending for 3 more. Good location, very friendly staff. I had a private room, which was very clean and cozy. Would definitely stay there again!"

"Htoo Htoo the Burmese woman made the stay unpleasant and uncomfortable for myself and multiple other guests. @Owner, consider replacing this employee with a Thai person who has customer service skills. Promote someone in the group that comes in to cook breakfast and clean. Cleaning should be prioritized to a higher degree - the floors and bathrooms are cleaned once per day. There is black mold growing from standing water in the second floor bathroom. This place has potential to be great, but lack of management has it going downhill quick."
