Took my mom out for a trip and saw Aling's live stream on Douyin. She came across as very practical, genuine, and unpretentious, so we decided to stay for a few days. Overall, it was a really good experience. As soon as you enter the courtyard, there's a water feature with koi fish, which gives a vibrant and lively feel. The two young men working there were incredibly attentive and patient in answering our questions, and their demeanor was very refined. We also had the good fortune to meet a compatible travel couple, Sister Liu and her husband, at Aling's place. It felt like such a serendipitous encounter for people from the north and south to meet here. In the evening, we gathered in Aling's courtyard to chat, drink tea, and share our travel experiences. It was truly delightful. Thank you, Aling, for bringing us all together!

The Warmest Accommodation I Found in Lijiang I found a truly wonderful place to stay in Lijiang. It was more than just a place to sleep; it was a place where I met wonderful people and received a warm welcome during my trip, so I really wanted to leave a review. 1. Excellent Location A colleague who recommended the trip to Lijiang told me that cars cannot enter the Old Town and that the many stone paths make it difficult to drag a suitcase around. So, I looked for accommodation within the Old Town that wasn't too far from the main road, and it was an excellent choice! There is a bus that goes to the accommodation in front of the train station. The bus doesn't have a name, but if you look at the route map next to the door, you just need to take the bus marked ”Guanwei” (古管委). (5 yuan) It takes less than 5 minutes from the stop to the accommodation (2-3 minutes if you don't have a suitcase), and since it is located just slightly away from the center of the Old Town, it is very quiet while still offering great accessibility. It was especially nice to walk back to the accommodation slowly after sightseeing at Chongyi Market at night. You can walk to Heilongtan and the Lion Mountain viewpoint, and you can also catch the bus to Tiger Leaping Gorge near the aforementioned stop. 2. A Charming and Pretty Accommodation The owner told me that the building is about 40 years old, and they have beautifully decorated every corner while preserving the atmosphere of the old structure. Every single interior decoration item was so pretty and cute that it was fun just looking around the accommodation. Above all, the yard was truly wonderful. I was happy just sitting in the yard, zoning out, without doing anything special. + I don't have any photos of the accommodation itself. The owner gifted me an oxygen tank, and I took a photo to prove it, which I am attaching. The atmosphere was insane. 3. Travelers from Various Countries In all the accommodations I have stayed at so far, I only met Chinese guests, but here, I met travelers from Malaysia, the UK, and Canada. In the evenings, we all ate home-cooked meals prepared by the owner, and the owner even took me to a Chinese Yi festival. Thanks to this, I was able to naturally become friends with other travelers and create wonderful memories even while traveling alone. 4. (Most Important) The Warm and Kind Owner Couple This is the biggest reason why my experience at this accommodation was so special! The owners spoke English, but I couldn't speak Chinese, so we didn't communicate very well. Despite this, they prepared delicious tea for us every day and went out of their way to ensure I could join in the conversation, even using a translator. (The Pu'er tea and Gong Cha were so delicious!!) When we went to Tiger Leaping Gorge, they personally helped us with booking the bus and accommodation, making our trip incredibly comfortable. Seeing how they constantly worried about me and looked after me throughout the trip, I could feel their genuine concern for me. My time in Lijiang felt like a dream, but meeting this guesthouse and the owners was a particularly cherished memory. I was truly grateful that people I met in an unfamiliar city could treat me so warmly. If I ever go back to Lijiang, I will stay here again without hesitation. I highly recommend this place not only to those looking for a comfortable place to stay but also to anyone who wants to meet warm-hearted people while traveling. I absolutely loved my stay at this hotel and would highly recommend it. The hotel itself is beautiful, and the rooms are stylish, comfortable, and very well equipped with everything you might need during your stay. The bed was especially comfortable, and I slept really well. The location is perfect — very close to Black Dragon Pool and within easy walking distance of Lijiang Ancient Town, while still being in a pleasant and peaceful area. What made my stay particularly memorable was the staff. They helped me several times during my stay, and I’m genuinely grateful for their kindness, hospitality, and willingness to help whenever I needed something. There were also many thoughtful complimentary extras and little touches throughout my stay, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Overall, this was one of those hotels where everything simply felt right — beautiful, comfortable, welcoming, and perfectly located. A definite 10/10, and I would happily stay here again if I return to Lijiang.

Facilities: Well-equipped. Hygiene: Very clean. Environment: Ancient and elegant, with a classic Chinese courtyard style. Service: Very attentive and thoughtful. We were heading to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain early the next morning, departing at 5:50 AM, so we couldn't have breakfast at the hotel. They could only pack milk and sandwiches for us. I mentioned I'd prefer yogurt, and the butler said it might not be possible. However, the next day, the breakfast bag contained yogurt! I was very touched!

Other places just say 'the customer is king,' but you guys truly prove it with your actions! Even before we arrived, the front desk staff met us at the ancient city gate. We didn't have to lift a finger; they handled all our luggage and took it straight to our room. Talk about seamless service! As soon as we stepped in, a lovely staff member brought us tea and desserts – so thoughtful! The owner, 'Tieniu,' greeted us at the entrance with incredible warmth. He first explained the layout and then gave us a tour. The most impressive part? He had already turned on the air conditioning in our reserved room! Truly amazing. After resting in the room for a bit, a staff member brought us fruit and a handwritten card! The handwritten touch completely exceeded my expectations; it felt like catching up with a long-lost friend. And there was afternoon tea, breakfast, and even custom cocktails in the evening – all with choices for us. I honestly feel they genuinely demonstrate 'the customer is king' through their actions; they put so much heart into it. They're incredibly considerate, thinking of everything we might need before we even do. Seriously, no exaggeration needed!!!

Located next to Heilongtan Park, the biggest surprise was its 'tranquil yet central' location. You can reach the park in just a few minutes, and the Old Town is about a ten-minute walk. This allows you to easily immerse yourself in the bustling atmosphere whenever you like, then retreat to a peaceful environment. The room's balcony was a great bonus. The hosts were generally warm and welcoming, with thoughtful touches like airport pick-up, tea service, and afternoon tea. Minor drawbacks included the narrow alley making parking a bit tricky, and during summer, there was no snow on the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, plus finding a taxi around the Old Town was difficult. Overall, the value for money is better than staying right in the heart of the Old Town, making it perfect for a leisurely trip to Lijiang. We never wanted to leave the guesthouse each day. Finally, a complaint about Trip.com: the same room type was nearly 200 yuan more expensive than on Qunar, which felt like a lot of wasted money! Aren't they part of the same platform company? I'd really like to hear an explanation from Trip.com customer service.

What was a bit frustrating was the odor in the bathroom of the first-floor room. It wasn't strong, but it was quite noticeable, probably from sewage backing up in the summer. I hope the owner can improve that... The bed creaked constantly, making a lot of noise when I turned over. The special items I saw when booking, like fruit and flower cakes, didn't seem to be there, and I was too embarrassed to ask the owner... Anyway, the dog was really cute, and that was about it.

If you're visiting Lijiang's Shuhe Ancient Town, you absolutely cannot miss the amazing Guanxin Inn! The environment here is beautiful, with lush greenery in the courtyard and fresh air that instantly helps you relax. The bedding in the rooms is exceptionally comfortable – a good night's sleep here will leave you feeling completely refreshed! The service is incredibly thoughtful and attentive; no matter what you need, they'll help you out, making you feel as warm and welcome as if you were at home. Step outside the inn and you can immediately experience the ancient town's unique charm and leisurely pace of life, making it perfect for a relaxing vacation and capturing some great photos! I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and immersive experience of Lijiang's culture!

The guesthouse has a fantastic location, just a 5-minute walk to the center of the old town. The owner was incredibly welcoming, offering to help with luggage and providing travel tips. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and stylishly decorated. Although it's on the street, it was very quiet at night; the attention to detail was excellent. My stay was perfect for a few days, and the value for money was fantastic. I'll definitely choose this place again next time I'm in Lijiang!

This was truly a unique experience! The price was great, the environment was lovely, and the service was incredibly thoughtful. The front desk lady meticulously explained how to see the 'sunrise over the golden mountains' and how to explore Lijiang. The best part? The guesthouse owner turned out to be from my hometown in Chongqing, and even our neighbor! What a small world, you couldn't make this up. We drank tea in the afternoon and had drinks together in the evening – they were so incredibly hospitable! 😍 Next time I'm in Lijiang, I'm definitely staying here again.
