Hotels in Dianchi Lake Scenic Area/ Sunac World, Kunming

My stay here was excellent. The front desk staff were very friendly and attentive, and check-in was super efficient. They proactively informed me about the hot spring's opening hours and breakfast times, and even offered helpful tips for exploring the area. The hotel is about 4km from Dianchi Lake, and within a 2km radius, there are plenty of dining and shopping options. The hotel's breakfast spread was incredibly rich, featuring a great mix of Chinese and Western dishes. There were pastries, fruits, desserts, and various beverages. The ingredients were fresh and delicious, and the freshly prepared noodle station served authentic, tasty noodles. The hot spring area was clean and elegant, with a comfortable water temperature. My room was tidy and quiet, with all the necessary amenities. I would definitely choose this hotel again for my next vacation.

Excellent apartment!! Clean, close to Dianchi Lake and 1903 Park, where you can buy everything you need, and there are plenty of good food delivery options. Conveniently located for hiking, with many peaks and parks a 20-30-minute taxi ride away. A lovely green courtyard and a beautiful view from the window (pictured). Everything you need is included: a washing machine, shower, closet, TV, balcony, stove, dishes, and other essentials. If I ever return to Kunming, I'd stay here again.

I came to Kunming for a few days to relax, and a friend recommended this hotel. It's conveniently located right across the road from the East Gate of Daguan Park, and you can also walk or cycle along Dianchi Lake. What truly impressed me was the hotel staff – from the front desk to housekeeping to the restaurant, almost every attendant I encountered was friendly and enthusiastic, which is quite rare. The breakfast selection was also quite rich. It felt a bit far from commercial and residential areas, making dining out a little inconvenient. This hotel is ideal for travelers who have ample time to slowly explore Daguan Park and the surrounding Dianchi Lake area.

Our stay was absolutely fantastic! The hotel's ambiance is elegant, and everything was spotlessly clean. We especially appreciated the well-equipped bathroom with a separate wet and dry area. The breakfast offered a great variety of delicious options. The staff were attentive and polite, making our experience even better. Plus, having a convenient shopping area downstairs was a huge bonus, especially since we were catching a train – it made everything so easy and comfortable.

I specifically took time off to stay at this wellness hotel, and as soon as I walked in, the soothing scent of herbs and wood instantly calmed my frayed nerves. The overall decor is minimalist and zen-like, and the common areas are quiet and elegant. The hotel offers various wellness programs like yoga, meditation, and head therapy. The package includes free access to these activities, and there's no hard-selling involved. The soundproofing in the room is excellent, and the bedding is soft; it was completely quiet and peaceful at night. The staff spoke softly and gently, providing thoughtful and detailed service throughout my stay. Here, you don't have to rush through an itinerary; you can just unwind. All the stress from my week of work just melted away. It's truly perfect for a relaxing and restorative getaway.

Every year for my annual leave, I go traveling, and this year I chose Kunming. I stayed at the Shanhaiyunjing Hotel, and it's truly the most atmospheric hotel I've ever experienced. The hotel's design is incredibly chic; it's like they've brought an entire art gallery right into a hotel by Dianchi Lake – it's absolutely stunning! As soon as you step into the lobby, you're embraced by minimalist artistry. The art installations in the corridors and the succulent landscaping are meticulously composed at every turn, making every snapshot a scenic view. The room offers fantastic views; you can lie in bed and see the Sleeping Beauty Hill. They even thoughtfully provided bath salts by the soaking tub. The butler proactively recommended a route for birdwatching the black-headed gulls, and even the breakfast featured Yunnan specialties like red rice and 'Er Si' (rice noodles). Staying here felt like living in a poetic landscape of mountains and seas. Next time I'm in Kunming, I'll definitely choose this place again!

This guesthouse was an absolute delight! We stayed in a twin tatami room with our little one, and the low, spacious beds meant our child could run around and play freely without any worry of bumps or bruises – it was incredibly reassuring. The courtyard garden was meticulously maintained, featuring a lemon tree laden with fruit, a beautiful assortment of succulents and cacti, and a charming thatched tea pavilion perfect for a relaxing tea break. The lush greenery and tidy pathways in the yard kept our child entertained, exploring all the flowers and plants. Inside, the room was decorated with a simple yet elegant style, and the bedding was wonderfully soft and comfortable. The overall atmosphere was serene and peaceful. It's perfect for both family trips and relaxing getaways. We've already added it to our list for our next trip, highly recommended!

The B&B's location is excellent, very close to Dianchi Haigeng Dam, within walking distance. The kind owner even offered electric scooter service. In the early morning and afternoon, we had a romantic encounter with seagulls and water birds by Dianchi Lake, and it was also very convenient to go out for meals nearby. Moreover, the B&B's owner and manager provided thoughtful service, and the accommodation's environment and hygiene were also superb. Highly, highly recommend! Everyone can check in with confidence!! This garden hotel is absolutely stunning! The garden is like a huge energy field; a walk through it every evening recharges you. A big thank you to the lovely front desk lady who arranged a beautiful room with a direct view of the garden – it was so refreshing to open the window each day. The swimming pool is also fantastic! It's deep and spacious, with excellent water quality, making for a truly enjoyable swim. The room was cleaned promptly, and the housekeepers thoughtfully left four bottles of water, all neatly arranged! I was able to add the butler on WeChat, and during my five-night stay, I received fruit for three days, and two cans of coffee as a farewell gift! Our room rate included breakfast and dinner, and for all five nights, the food at the restaurant was consistently excellent! The Yunnan local dishes, in particular, were so delicious they almost brought tears to my eyes! The rice noodles were incredible, with four different types of toppings! I had rice noodles for both breakfast and dinner! The fruit selection was also abundant, with seven or eight varieties. I especially loved their freshly squeezed juices, particularly the cucumber juice. And they have an Indian chef whose flying bread and curry are simply divine! The location is superb! A short walk through Haigeng Hall leads you directly to Haigeng Dam, making it incredibly convenient to see the seagulls! Xishan and Haihong Wetland are also not far, perfect for a leisurely stroll. I hope to stay at InterContinental Hotel again on my next visit to Dianchi Lake. The quality and service far exceeded my expectations!
