"We stayed at this hotel for 14 days! The hotel's location is simply excellent, close to the metro, shops, and Chinatown with its many cafes and restaurants. The hotel itself is very beautiful and unique, full of greenery, with its own charisma and designer touches; it's very pleasant and clean. The rooms are wonderful and spacious (we stayed in a club room on the 25th floor), and we were especially pleased with the large wardrobe for clothes. Everything is thoughtfully designed for guests' convenience: a mini-kitchen with a kettle, coffee maker, refrigerator, microwave, dishes, etc., several types of packaged tea and coffee replenished daily. The bathroom is large, with full-glass walls, a shower and a bathtub, and toiletries, creams, shampoos, and gels were refreshed every day! The bed in the room deserves a special mention; you wake up feeling completely refreshed, like a new person, and you just don't want to get out of it. The mattress is so incredibly comfortable and high that after a day of excursions and walks around the city, you fall asleep instantly and have wonderful dreams! The hotel staff is very pleasant, polite, and responsive, always ready to help you with any problems or questions that arise. We'd like to extend special thanks to Kalpana from the service staff, who was always smiling and answered all our questions and requests. We visited all the attractions, shows, and parks, Universal Studios, shopping malls, and outlets. We walked almost all the streets of Singapore, both the city center and the outskirts, really immersing ourselves in the local life. We also frequently visited Sentosa Island to swim and sunbathe! Our vacation passed in the unforgettable atmosphere of a beautiful country and a wonderful hotel! After returning home, we wanted to come back to Singapore again, as we still have unfulfilled plans to visit nearby islands! In conclusion of our review, we want to say that on our next trip to Singapore, we will only be staying at the Oasia Hotel, which has become like a second home to us!!! We highly recommend this hotel to everyone visiting Singapore – you won't regret it!!! Good luck to all! "The room was clean and tidy, with a minimalist design and excellent space planning. They also offer free laundry and drying services. The front desk service was great, and there's a small bar on the first floor perfect for a drink or two in the evening; it was quite lively and had a good atmosphere! There's also an outdoor terrace on the second floor for relaxing. Given the location, the overall value for money is absolutely fantastic!"

"Great location. It's a 20-minute walk to Marina Bay and 6 minutes to the subway. There's also a market nearby with cheap eateries. The hostel looks premium. It's fantastic that there's tea, coffee, a microwave, and a stove available. The common areas (kitchen, toilets, showers) are clean. On the downside: it's very noisy. There's ongoing construction nearby and many bars, plus the soundproofing isn't great."

"I reli enjoyed my stay at the hotel. The best part was the staff service, everyone was super friendly, helpful, and attentive. On the other hand, the facilities inside the room are a bit old, but it was within my expectation given the hotel’s history, style and price. The bed was comfortable, and I slept well. The location is very convenient, and the room was clean even though the facilities were a bit dated. Some minor maintenance or a refresh of the bathroom and toiletries cud make it perfect. Wi‑Fi worked fine and the air‑con was good, all at a reasonable price for wat u get."

"Very nice! The hotel lobby is exceptionally beautiful and unique, and everything is clean and tidy. The staff are welcoming, and Yang Ling provided meticulous and thoughtful service with great patience. The room was comfortable, and the location is very convenient. The hotel is right by the subway, making it easy to get to all the tourist attractions. It's a great choice for both leisure travel and business trips. Truly an excellent option!"

"The location is truly excellent, right in Chinatown. There are three or four metro lines within a 10-minute walk, which is super convenient. You can walk downstairs for a few steps and grab a bite at Ya Kun, and a little further leads you to Maxwell, where there are plenty of food options at good prices. The room was pretty much as expected. For someone who's out all day and only comes back late at night to shower and sleep, it's perfectly adequate. The soundproofing between rooms is decent, but noise from the hallway depends on other guests' consideration. I was assigned a room on the 4th floor. Each floor has restrooms; the 2nd floor is for men, 3rd for women, and 4th is mixed-gender. I imagine it might get crowded in the mornings if many people need to shower, but otherwise, it's fine. I downloaded the hotel's app beforehand. Upon arrival, I just followed the instructions on the sign. There was no need for human interaction throughout the whole process, and opening the room door was done via the mobile app and Bluetooth, so remember to take your phone when you leave the room. Shampoo and shower gel are provided in the shower, but you'll need to bring your own other toiletries."

"I arrived for check in at 3pm but when I went to the given room, it was still under cleaning. I met Pearl at the kiosk/ reception area. She was attentive & quick to find another room for me. She introduced the room and the showed me the area where the washing machine & dryer that is free for guest to use. Pearl and her team, Shannen, Mary, Rome, follow up with ensuring my stay was of top comfort throughout my stay. I am impressed that the room comes with microwave and huge fridge in the room! The toilet can be a little small with a little musky smell due to the lack of ventilation. The location is right smack on top of all the restaurants & bars, be ready to bring some ear plugs if you are a light sleeper. Other than that, overall, I am happy with my stay & will book again for their service & comfort of the room."

"Stayed here cos convinient location, thought just transit and sleep. But we even couldnt sleep cos thin wall, neighbour so noisy and u can hear their fight, already told the reception, but they still continue the noisy from 11pm-2am. Maybe because rate cheap so guests also the matters."

"The hotel itself is a historic building, dating back to 1929, and it's part of the Marriott portfolio. Setting aside the Marriott brand for a moment, the overall experience is quite good. For an average price of 1500 RMB per night, including breakfast, and considering its location and the fact that it was during Chinese New Year, this is an excellent value. It's conveniently located next to Maxwell Food Centre and a subway station, with many bars and restaurants downstairs. Most importantly, it's very close to the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple, where you can venerate genuine sariras. Another MRT station, Tanjong Pagar, is also nearby, making the location very accessible. If you don't mind a bit of a walk, you can even reach Chinatown to catch the Downtown Line. Now, let's evaluate it based on Marriott's standards. As a Marriott Gold member, booking through Ctrip meant I didn't receive any Marriott Gold benefits, which is something to be aware of beforehand. However, the overall service was still very good. Firstly, I arrived at 6 AM on the first day. When I went to check in, a friendly staff member named Danner (I believe that was his name, hope I'm not mistaken), who spoke Chinese, noticed our predicament – we clearly needed a shower and a change of clothes urgently. After checking us in, he proactively asked if we needed to shower, which was a lifesaver for me (I'm the type who won't leave the house without showering and changing). He also had a great sense of humor. After settling in, we stored our luggage, and he thoughtfully provided umbrellas (it was already raining moderately when we arrived). We were given two rooms, which were larger than I expected. I even felt like my room might have been the office of the chamber of commerce's owner back in the day (hahaha)! However, this also led to some less-than-ideal experiences. Let's talk about the room: First, regarding the daily housekeeping: the small hand towels disappeared after the first day and were never replaced. Every day, I had to bend down to find a towel to dry my hands. Second, when the bar soap ran out, it wasn't replaced automatically, forcing me to use shower gel for handwashing in the following days. Third, the tissues ran out and weren't replenished, which was very inconvenient. The slippers too: my shoes got wet in the rain, and the replacement slippers also got wet and were discarded. The next day, no new slippers were provided. Finally, during room cleaning, some trash wasn't removed. For instance, a disposable bath towel that had been left on the sink (I usually hang them on a rack when I don't need them to be thrown away) and the slippers that were at the foot of the bed, one facing up and one down, were in the exact same position when we returned, with only the bed simply made. Now for breakfast: The menu was entirely in English. While fine for younger guests, it might be challenging for older relatives. Considering the large number of Chinese tourists, offering a Chinese menu could be a good idea, though this is just a suggestion. The overall taste was quite good, leaning towards British and Indian flavors, which makes sense given the hotel's Indian history. So an Indian-themed breakfast is perfectly fine. However, on our first order, we weren't served the small bread rolls; it seemed to have been overlooked (we didn't notice it at the time either). Secondly, every time we ordered, they appeared to remember our requests, but this wasn't always the case. Food was often served haphazardly, with dishes frequently misplaced or incorrect! This is a very poor experience for a luxury hotel! Lastly, a female server, in her rush, repeatedly swung her ponytail into my face and the back of my head when turning around. I was quite upset at the time. Fortunately, after I provided feedback to the manager the next day, all subsequent meals were served by the restaurant manager, which significantly improved the experience. He was also very humorous and, although he didn't speak Chinese, he always managed to make us laugh with his witty remarks. This greatly improved my impression and felt much more aligned with the quality expected from a Marriott property. Finally, the lobby manager was an elderly Chinese gentleman who got along well with my father and shared some historical insights. Overall, I recommend this hotel. Its location is excellent, and the service is attentive, though you might need to make specific requests for certain things. The hotel also displays many historical military uniforms, deeds, and other artifacts, truly making it a hotel rich in history and culture."
