"The rooms are the same as in the pictures so I won't bother to post photos but let's start with the positives. The place is clean and it is located close to the south gate, which is very convenient when you arrive or call for a taxi. However our room was a duplex and having only one AC unit meant that the upper floor was warm and the bottom floor was ice cold. Additionally if you are a light sleeper you hear a lot from the nearby rooms. Avoid weekends in Hongcun and your experience will be far better!"

"We spent twice one night at this hotel during our trip to Huangshan and it was a very good choice. It has a great location right in the centre of the old Hongcun village. The staff was very helpful staff with our luggage. They kept our luggage while we were in Huangshan from a night. The view from our balcony was lovely on the old village."

"The location is excellent, right in the heart of the scenic area. The hotel also provides station pick-up and drop-off, making for a seamless and very convenient experience. Although it was my first time booking a B&B, I was truly impressed. As mentioned in other reviews, the service was outstanding, and responses were prompt. All staff members were incredibly attentive and helpful. The restaurant food was also delicious; I particularly recommend the roasted local pork chop. My only minor suggestion would be for the breakfast to offer a bit more variety. They also provide a thoughtful and considerate laundry service. Our butler even gave us a tour of the B&B's other facilities and courtyard, which was a very pleasant surprise. Just one suggestion: it would be great if the children's policy could be more flexible or accommodating. While our specific issues were resolved smoothly, an initially unaccommodating policy might deter many potential guests."

"The room is clean and quiet. It is close to the west gate of Hongcun Scenic Area and can be seen from the rooftop terrace. It is very convenient to stay here to visit the scenic area. There are many specialty restaurants next to the hotel, and there is a snack shop at the door, which is very convenient for eating."

"We used this as a base to get around different scenic areas. It was close to the west parking lot of Hongcun, where several buses can take you to different places, including the Huangshan Scenic Area. The hotel was tastefully decorated and most distinctively, it had a movie lounge and a tea appreciation area. Make use of the hotel's golf cart service to get to the west parking lot and back. There were afternoon snacks provided and they varied each day. The only downside was probably the lack of shops within a 200m radius."

Upon arrival, a dedicated staff member guided me, and the front desk proactively shared details about the hotel facilities and local attractions—their attentiveness was truly exceptional. "As soon as I arrived at the B&B, the owner recognized me. Yes, I was the tourist who bought the Hongcun ticket just for the B&B. The owner even mistakenly thought I was from Hong Kong, haha! However, this trip to Hongcun really exceeded my expectations. Different from the online comments on Hongcun's commercial tourism, I personally think that Hongcun is a place worth slowly immersing yourself in and experiencing quietly. When it comes to accommodation, the proprietress is really a very meticulous person. She is almost demanding in her hygiene requirements and will double check every sanitary blind spot. I was also very moved by her entrepreneurial story. Seeing her constantly learning and improving herself (including emotional management, communication skills, and even learning live streaming), I could deeply feel her enthusiasm and dedication to providing thoughtful service to every guest. Speaking of food, the proprietress’s cooking skills are also amazing, especially her stinky mandarin fish, chestnut chicken and hairy tofu, each of which makes people unable to help but praise it! These authentic delicacies will definitely be unforgettable once you have tasted them. In addition, the service provided by the boss and his wife was also touching. The boss personally took me to the express delivery point to send the express, and the boss's wife personally accompanied us to take the bus and helped us with our luggage. The service was meticulous and full of emotional value, making this trip more enjoyable. Overall, this trip was not just a visit to the attractions, but also a warm homestay experience. "When traveling to Anhui, I prepared a guide in advance and finally chose this hotel. The hotel environment is good, clean and sanitary. The breakfast is also very rich. "Five stars, highly recommended! The Banyan Tree Huangshan Townhouse was an amazing surprise. The Anhui-style white walls and dark tiles are nestled among the green mountains, and opening the window reveals a picturesque ink wash painting. The environment is serene and healing. The one-on-one butler service was incredibly attentive, quick to respond, and had a great attitude, making the entire stay effortless. The room facilities were astonishingly complete: tableware, washing machine, oven, induction cooker – everything you could need. The capsule coffee machine and complimentary tea were an excellent bonus. The fresh, plump welcome fruit paired with a handwritten welcome letter added a wonderful touch of ceremony. The holiday experience was perfect, and I'll definitely be back!"
