The guest room was spacious, and the bedding was clean and soft, making for a very comfortable sleep. The hot water came out quickly and at a stable temperature, and the bathroom area was dry and tidy. The soundproofing was excellent, ensuring a quiet night's rest. The front desk staff were warm and polite, even giving us many boxes of Zhongwei硒砂瓜 to try. Check-in was very quick. The surrounding area is also quite convenient for getting around. As a new establishment, both the hardware and cleanliness are impeccable, offering great value for money. It's perfect for both leisure travel and short stays, highly recommended. I'll definitely choose this place again if I have the chance.

We stayed in Dongge Camp for a whole day. The next day, the housekeeper helped us contact Master Wang to charter a car to visit several popular attractions in Zhongwei. The hotel is very close to the Shapotou scenic area and is located in the city center, with many restaurants and shops nearby, which is very convenient. There's parking available at the entrance, and if you have trouble finding a spot, the hotel security will immediately come out to assist you. The room was clean and tidy, the service attitude was excellent, and the breakfast was delicious!

This Mercure hotel by Donghu Lake is amazing! The lakeside scenery is absolutely stunning, and the rooms are well-equipped and clean, with 24-hour AC and hot water. The huge floor-to-ceiling windows let you watch the starry sky and sunrise without even leaving your room. The terrace also has a great vibe and is perfect for photos. The bonfire, fireworks, and firework show add a touch of romance. The service is attentive and thoughtful; the butler was very responsive and quick to resolve any issues. The environment is quiet and peaceful, making it incredibly relaxing to return to your room after exploring Donghu Lake. Being able to participate in the evening bonfire party and firework show was a real treat!

This self-guided desert tour is absolutely amazing! The desert scenery is majestic and magnificent, and the afterglow of the setting sun shines on the golden sand dunes, as beautiful as a painting. The campsite facilities are complete and the staff are warm and caring. The food is diverse, the roasted whole lamb is crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, and the aroma is overflowing. Camel riding, sand boarding and other activities are super exciting. Moreover, the self-guided itinerary is free and allows you to deeply experience the charm of the desert. Highly recommended, looking forward to coming again next time!

Bringing the kids to the desert was totally worth it! They were incredibly excited the whole time, playing in the sand and sandboarding during the day, stargazing at night, and attending a bonfire party – they were so happy they didn't want to sleep! The tents were quiet and comfortable, and the staff were super friendly and even helped look after the children. A fantastic experience, five stars!

The air conditioner was already on when I checked in. The lady at the front desk also helped to deliver the luggage to the room and explained the precautions very considerately.

I absolutely loved this place! I’m writing this as a foreigner who went with 4 other foreigners for a special birthday weekend. First, the service. We have good Chinese proficiency, but those with limited to none will be fine. Most of the communication and coordination is handled via WeChat - which can auto translate. 东 “Dong” was our main contact. He rocked and gave us a real experience. He shuttled us in the sand jeep, gifted me a cake for my birthday, and was just an overall cool guy. Thanks! Second, the location and accommodations. If you stay near Desert Star, there’s a lot of people and campsites - that area seems like a bit of a tourist funnel. This area is located in the REAL sand dunes area. Further North, you actually cross into Inner Mongolia. The separation and distance is worth it. Makes for brighter stars and a more authentic experience. Third, the food. They were able to coordinate a whole lamb to be roasted for my birthday. It was absolutely extraordinary. The sides for it were some of the best I had on the entire trip - they have some skilled chefs there. This place has great reviews, and it’s worth it. I do recommend this to foreigners, and I hope I can return one day.
