"The hotel's location is absolutely fantastic. It's just across the road from Dali Ancient City, yet nestled on a hillside, which keeps it wonderfully quiet at night, away from all the hustle and bustle. When you open the curtains, you're greeted by stunning views of the Cangshan Mountains. In the morning, you can see the misty mountains, and even the moon – all from the comfort of your bed.
The front desk service was excellent; the staff were so attentive, warm, and enthusiastic. They gave us incredibly useful travel tips and even escorted us to our room, meticulously explaining every detail of its features. In the evenings, they'd light a bonfire in the courtyard with guests, roasting corn, brewing pear water, and serving homemade white fungus soup. We'd gather around, chatting about travel and everyday life, feeling like one big family. It truly felt like a home away from home.
There are two adorable, gentle dogs and a cat in the courtyard – very friendly and happy to be petted. Our room was spotless and smart, with an electric blanket that kept us so warm at night, plus a thoughtful humidifier. The entire building has a great sense of design, with each room being unique and full of character. It was a very comfortable stay. There were quite a few foreign guests too.
When we left, the front desk attendant not only helped with our luggage but also offered to take my photo on the second-floor viewing deck. He even helped me get a picture with the little dog before seeing us off at the entrance. After two days, it felt less like staying in a hotel and more like being part of a big family."
