"The room offered a direct sea view and was situated in a fairly quiet location. It's conveniently close to both Shimei Bay and Shenzhou Peninsula. They even upgraded my room upon check-in, which was a nice bonus. I'd definitely consider staying here again, especially if I'm with a friend who can ride an e-scooter, as it would be perfect for exploring the surrounding area."

"I stayed in the apartment for three consecutive days, enjoying the sunrise in the morning and the sunset in the evening. Coming to Shenzhou Peninsula was purely for relaxation and a holiday. There are many restaurants downstairs, and a larger store nearby that can meet daily needs. It's a nine-kilometer drive to Shimei Bay observation deck, where you can get great photos of Shimei Bay."

"Driving to Riyue Bay, staying at this hotel was super hassle-free. They have a parking lot and a shuttle service that takes you right to your room's building. It's only a few hundred meters from all the major surf clubs, which is really convenient after a surf session. Plus, there's a water park and a horse riding stable nearby, so there are plenty of options for activities and entertainment."

"The hotel 8 is situated about 2km from the high speed railway station (taxi 10rmb) and has 25 floors with a number of the lower floors used for functions such as weddings. Nice pool and gym, both open 14:30 till 22:30, staff is friendly but as not many foreign people stay Chinese is useful to communicate. Rooms are comfortable and large size, style of decoration is classic. Buffet breakfast in morning. Note for none smokers, smoking is common in all of the hotel including lobby and restaurants."

"The views are amazing and the sand is so fine. Our butler, Ella, sent us a guide as soon as we checked in, which turned out to be really helpful. We picked two spots to visit the next day and both were great. The breakfast selection was extensive and the kids loved it, eating a lot. You can also take the shuttle bus to the neighboring hotel to explore. We didn't get a king-size bed room, so we paid a bit extra to upgrade to a suite. However, it was quite a distance from the elevator, and some guests slamming their doors loudly was annoying. The soundproofing could definitely be improved. There were even people setting off fireworks at eleven or twelve at night, which was also very noisy. Among the luxury hotels in Wanning, this one offers great value for money. I would consider staying here again on my next visit."

"The environment is great, very close to the sea, and having a butler provide pick-up and drop-off service is super convenient. The pool is also really nice and clean, perfect for a family vacation. "The family activities here are absolutely top-notch, offering a ton of outdoor experiences like tree climbing and surfing. The staff are incredibly patient and engaging with the kids, unlike the superficial craft activities you often find at other hotels. Kim's excellent service deserves full marks; she replied to my messages instantly. Based on these two points, I'm giving a full 5-star rating. The hotel really needs to update its hardware, though. The outdated LeTV and non-smart toilet somewhat detracted from the overall stay experience. Plus, most hotels nowadays offer robot room service. And finally, the breakfast, for a hotel in this price range, isn't particularly outstanding."

"Huge thanks to the front desk for the room upgrade! Check-in was super fast, and we got a lake-view room. The view from the sixth floor was pretty good, though the highest floor is the seventh, so it obviously can't compare to the views from higher-floor rooms. But being on a lower floor meant less wind, so it felt really warm and cozy. The hotel's public area pool is beautiful. The outdoor pool is cold water, not heated. However, the indoor heated pool makes up for it – you can swim there and then go for a hot spring dip, which is incredibly comfortable! I'd suggest increasing the frequency of maintenance for the hot spring pools; when I went, the water quality wasn't as good as I'd imagined, and the hot spring water quality isn't quite on par with places like Tengchong or Guangzhou. It's a bit stingy that guests consuming at the lobby bar still have to pay extra for the billiard table. I'd suggest changing this to a reservation-based system with a time limit; guests would probably feel better about that. Breakfast overall was decent. The live cooking stations for noodles and vermicelli were freshly prepared, and the broths were excellent. However, the soy milk and coconut milk were both watered down and flavorless, like too much water had been added, making them very bland. I hope this can be improved, because the self-service Qingbuliang (a refreshing dessert soup) loses its meaning if the coconut milk isn't good! The housekeeping staff are very diligent. For consecutive stays, it felt almost like checking into a new room every day. But as a five-star resort, shouldn't the complimentary bottled water at least be something like Nongfu Spring? This 'Ice Dew' brand is a bit much. A few extra cents in cost wouldn't hurt, right?"

"This hotel was our first stop on our East Coast Hainan island tour, and it didn't disappoint. The service was excellent, especially our butler, Mile. He contacted us two days in advance to ask about our preferences, sent us menus, arranged our room, and even turned on the dehumidifier before we arrived. Our luggage was delivered directly to our room, which made our stay incredibly comfortable. Our room had a direct ocean view, perfect for watching both sunrises and moonrises. The balcony was very spacious and sunny, the air conditioning worked great, and the sheets were clean. The lobby has a fantastic, grand design. Watching the sunrise from the beach was also breathtaking."

"The service was superb, and the place was spotless. My wife and I are older and didn't know much about the place, but the staff patiently explained where to eat and what to do, treating us like their own children. They even had a buffet breakfast in the morning. The whole room was smart home; you could just call out to Tmall Genie and everything would be taken care of. The location was also great, just 200 meters from the beach, which made us feel very comfortable. It was the first time I'd stayed at such a comfortable hotel, and everyone seemed so friendly and energetic. I hope this hotel continues to improve, and I'll definitely stay here again next time. I highly recommend it!"
