It offers both great value for money and a relaxing atmosphere. **I. Irreplaceable Location Advantage** The hotel is separated from Slender West Lake by a body of water and features an exclusive express通道 for guests. You don't have to queue at the main scenic area entrance; you can walk directly to the core area by the lake. Building No. 1, Shoufanyuan, where we stayed, is the closest building to Slender West Lake in the entire hotel. From the room window, you can see a small patch of lake view with weeping willows, enjoying the scenery of Slender West Lake without even leaving your room. Additionally, Building No. 1 is only a 2-minute walk from the Black Pearl-rated Qüyuan Teahouse, making it incredibly convenient to enjoy authentic Yangzhou morning tea without a long trek through the park. **II. Exclusive Features and Immersive Ambiance** 1. **Commemorative Souvenirs:** You can get exclusive hotel postcards at the front desk, and there are several spots within the garden where you can stamp them as a souvenir. You can also get a custom room key card, which makes for a meaningful travel keepsake. 2. **Explore the Expansive Gardens:** The entire guesthouse is filled with pavilions, waterside terraces, rockeries, and long corridors, with lush greenery everywhere. Every step offers a new view, and you won't get tired even after strolling for half a day. The internal scenery is as exquisite as that of paid gardens. If you get tired of walking in the vast park, you can call for a free shuttle at any time. 3. **Weekend Intangible Cultural Heritage Performances:** On weekends, there are intangible cultural heritage mini-theaters, where you can watch Yangzhou's intangible cultural heritage puppet shows and folk music performances without having to leave the hotel. **III. The space is generous, and the bedding and soft furnishings are meticulously maintained. **Sole Drawback:** The bathroom hardware has a noticeable drawback: the shower pressure is low, and the water flow is weak, making for a mediocre experience when washing hair or showering. **IV. Overall Summary** There's a good reason why Yingbinguan consistently receives rave reviews: it boasts private views of Slender West Lake, its own Black Pearl-rated morning tea, vast garden grounds, unique commemorative souvenirs, and a full range of leisure activities. If you prefer a tranquil, retro atmosphere and want to experience the quality of a traditional state guesthouse, Building No. 1 is an excellent choice. The only thing you'll need to adapt to is the low shower pressure. If you're looking for brand-new modern facilities, consider buildings No. 8 or No. 18. For our trip, having already visited Slender West Lake, staying here meant we didn't need to re-enter the scenic area. We could enjoy a comparable lake and garden experience right within the hotel, perfectly meeting our need for a relaxed vacation."

"Overall, the room was good, clean and hygienic. Since it was still World Cup season, all the staff were wearing German team uniforms. The hotel lobby is on the 5th floor, and on the ground floor, staff were constantly greeting guests, helping with luggage, pressing elevator buttons, and opening car doors. The shower pressure in the room was excellent, and the breakfast selection was quite rich, with all the essentials available and the taste being decent. My only minor complaint is that I booked a two-night stay, but housekeeping didn't make the bed as requested; it was exactly as I left it. While I don't expect the linens to be changed daily, I do believe the bed should at least be made properly. I hope this can be improved in the future."

"Traveling to Yangzhou with my parents and child, I spent ages on Ctrip before settling on Slender West Lake Hot Spring Resort. It was absolutely the right choice! It perfectly met my child's desire to play in the water, while also allowing my parents to relax after sightseeing. The hotel has its own hot springs, which are of excellent quality – a slightly acidic, lithium-rich water that leaves your skin smooth after soaking. There are probably over twenty pools, each with its own unique features, spread out within the scenic area. Enjoying the beautiful scenery while soaking in the hot springs was incredibly relaxing. The hotel also offers many fun activities for children. Across from the hotel is the Slender West Lake scenic area, and other attractions are not far away, making transportation very convenient."

The front desk staff were incredibly enthusiastic; they helped with parking and luggage, and to my surprise, they even washed my car! "The hotel's location is excellent, just a stone's throw away from Dongguan Street and Dongguan Ferry. The facilities are relatively new, making it a great value-for-money option. More importantly, the hotel staff, from the lobby manager to the front desk receptionists and even the doorman, are all incredibly polite. "Excellent! Very satisfied, the facilities are complete. It's great value for money. Getting to Dongguan Street, Ge Garden, and He Garden isn't too far. The front desk service is superb; every time we asked for information, they were incredibly enthusiastic and gave excellent suggestions, even helping us avoid potential issues. It's still quite cold in Yangzhou in the mornings and evenings, though it warms up a bit at noon, and they'd advise us to wear more layers when going out – truly like family. They proactively addressed our needs during our stay and basically solved any problems we had immediately, enhancing our experience. It's really wonderful, five-star rating!"

"In the beautiful month of March, as spring breezes filled the air, the Shangri-La Hotel Yangzhou perfectly embodied this delightful essence through its elegant environment, immaculate facilities, Michelin-starred dining, and attentive service. I particularly want to commend the hotel's comprehensive and thoughtful services. Staying for a week with my elderly parents, the handsome young man at the front desk kindly upgraded us to two lake-view rooms for free, instantly enhancing our mood and the scenic view from our accommodation. When entering and exiting the hotel, the doormen in the lobby were polite and courteous, helping with luggage, opening car doors, and reminding my parents to watch their step, all with a warm, spring-like smile. The waitresses at the buffet breakfast were always beaming, guiding us to our seats and even remembering our different preferences for coffee and tea. What touched us most was the housekeeper, Chen Xiuhong. She meticulously arranged every small request from my parents with great care. She was keenly observant of our habits while tidying the room, proactively providing extra bottles of mineral water for my parents to make tea, changing bed linens, arranging fresh fruits, and adding extra tissues and disposable slippers, all to enhance our comfort. For instance, when my father needed a hole punched in his new belt and was at a loss, Chen Xiuhong found out. She patiently consulted with electrician Master Yang, and together they came to our room with tools to perfectly solve the problem for my father (I captured this moment in Picture 3). Chen Xiuhong's humility, politeness, and excellent professionalism were truly admirable and touching; she elevated an ordinary job to an extraordinary level! Of course, we did encounter one minor unpleasantness during our stay. My parents needed a disposable paper cup to mix their powdered medicine (to avoid staining the room's glasses). On the evening of the 28th, when we inquired at the front desk, a short-haired woman in a red uniform on duty replied, ”There are no paper cups here!” She then pointed to the lobby coffee bar and said, ”You can ask over there; they might have non-disposable cups!” We were somewhat disappointed by her evasiveness and perfunctory response. Although it was a trivial matter, it felt a bit distant from Shangri-La's ethos of 'hospitality from the heart.' Nevertheless, our week at the hotel was overwhelmingly filled with warmth and assistance. We will always look back fondly and be grateful for the wonderful people and experiences."

"Let's start with the downsides: Since the family room can accommodate three adults, there should be three sets of towels, bath towels, tooth mugs, drinking glasses, and coffee cups, not just two. Even children or teenagers need their own bath towel and tooth mug. Also, the curtain button was sometimes a bit unresponsive. Now for the positives: 1. The location is excellent, making it convenient to get anywhere. You can walk to the South Gate of Slender West Lake, and there are plenty of restaurants nearby. 2. The breakfast was good; while not exceptionally lavish, it had everything you'd expect. The coffee came from a machine and tasted great. 3. The terraces on four of the floors are a major highlight! Breakfast is on the 11th floor (top floor), and on a nice day, you can dine on the terrace, enjoying the lush forest view and a distant glimpse of the Qiling Pagoda while being shielded from the sun – a fantastic experience. You can also enjoy the night view in the evening. 4. The hairdryer is a Dyson, and in the lobby downstairs, there's a coffee machine, tea, hot water, and bottled water available."
