All the facilities and amenities were on par with a four-star hotel in a major city; the bedding was excellent, and the cleanliness was impeccable. There's a large forest behind their property, and the owner took us mushroom foraging. Upon our return, the grandmother even helped us sort the edible mushrooms and cooked us a delicious feast. We arrived at the guesthouse around 10:30 PM after the photoshoot, and the owners had already prepared a wild mushroom and yak meat hot pot for us. They even prepared the ingredients on the spot – so touching! The small portion of hot pot for two people was far too much to finish, so we saved some for noodles the next morning and ate it again at lunch! We also added two stir-fried dishes for lunch, both absolutely delicious! Even better than what we ate in Chengdu the following two days, and much more affordable at only 15 yuan a serving! Even though I don't like cured pork, I asked the owner if I could buy some to take home with me. The owner said it was homemade, no wonder it smelled so good! The proprietress was also very talkative, and I felt really lucky to have met both of them on my trip! Finally, a friendly reminder to all tourists: don't eat too much just because the proprietress's cooking is so delicious, otherwise you might experience altitude sickness if you can't digest it properly at high altitudes… Although I would probably still eat there again if I came back, I even packed some to take back to Chengdu to continue eating there!"
