Hotels near Boxpark, Dubai

The room was clean and tidy. The hotel itself is located within a commercial mall, with a bakery and restaurant on the first floor, and a large supermarket. Finding a three-story hotel in the skyscraper-filled downtown Dubai area is not an easy choice! I initially booked a non-refundable reservation, but due to special circumstances, I still received an almost full refund! I hope to visit again if I get the chance!

The hotel is great except there is no food or shopping around the area, 10 - 15 walking to Metro under hot weather. The breakfast is not as great as what commented on the review, too simple variety compared to Holiday Inn Express in Kuala Lumpur and Shenzhen. However the staff is helpful, and extended stay until 5pm for 3am flight the next day. Shuttle bus to Dubai Mall stopped operations which is unexpected.

Location & Transportation: Pros: It's a 15-minute walk from the metro station. Don't follow the navigation; it'll take you the long way around. Just head straight in the direction of your destination, trust me, you can walk there. Cons: There are no supermarkets or restaurants nearby. If you want to eat or shop, you'll need to go to Dubai Mall, which is a 30-minute walk away. Room Experience: The room is tiny. Once you open a 28-inch suitcase, there's barely enough room to stand. The bed is very narrow, probably less than 1 meter wide. The desk space is also small, which is tough when traveling with many small items; you constantly have to tidy up. Amenities: The restaurant is fantastic! They offer special à la carte dishes (one per person per day). We stayed three nights and ordered something different every day, all of which were good. There's also a wide variety of other buffet items, so we always had a full breakfast. The gym is amazing and far superior to hotels of similar caliber in China. The pool isn't huge but looks nice. Overall Impression: The value for money isn't great. The room being so small was quite disappointing, but the public facilities are all good. The location is still a bit far from the metro.

Stayed at Rove La Mer Beach for a short staycation in early April 2026 and overall had a really positive experience. The hotel has a fun, colourful, and relaxed beachfront vibe, and the location within the La Mer/J1 development works well, especially with several great beach clubs nearby. It feels like a proper beach destination without being a luxury property. Rooms are on the smaller side, which is probably the main trade-off, but they are well designed and I did appreciate that the bathroom is fully separate from the sleeping area (not always the case in newer hotels). Amenities are fairly basic, with a few things like dental kits and slippers only provided on request, and some small touches missing such as in-room tissues or moisturiser. Nothing major, just worth noting. The hotel’s main dining option is a casual restaurant with indoor and terrace seating, plus a beach bar during the day. One thing to be aware of is that the building’s orientation means the pool and terrace areas fall into shade from mid-afternoon, which may or may not suit you depending on what you’re after. There’s also a convenient on-site shop for essentials, which is useful given the limited nearby retail options at the moment. Service was friendly and efficient throughout. Check-in and check-out were both quick despite being busy, and staff were helpful without being overbearing. The overall crowd during my stay was mostly families and groups of friends rather than couples, so it’s not particularly a romantic-style hotel. Overall, it’s a well-run, good-value stay with a strong lifestyle vibe. While the rooms are compact, the atmosphere, location, and pricing make it an easy recommendation for a casual Dubai staycation.

Right next to the Burj Khalifa, in an area where every inch is precious, 1200 a night offers decent value for money. The room was small, and cleanliness was just okay, but the service was good. There's a construction site nearby, so I recommend taking the hotel's free shuttle to Dubai Mall – it only takes 5 minutes. Walking there yourself will make you question your life choices! The hotel also offers shuttles to Al Seef (the Iranian town), Souk Madinat Jumeirah, and the beach. I'd advise planning your schedule around these shuttles to save a lot on taxi fares, as taxis in Dubai are really expensive! The breakfast selection was limited and didn't really cater to a Chinese palate; I suggest just ordering a sunny-side-up egg, at least that's edible. The Dubai chocolate in the hotel's small shop is cheaper than in Dubai Mall, so I recommend buying it there.

I am writing to share my excellent experience during my recent stay at Towers Rotana on 13th December 2025 for the Learners Education conference. I arrived early at 5:30 am, well before the 1:00 pm check-in time. I requested to use the facilities to freshen up and was promptly offered an early check-in and Club Lounge breakfast for a very reasonable fee. Having a background in hospitality myself, I was thoroughly impressed by this. It is a fantastic example of empowering front-line employees to drive incremental revenue while providing high-value service. I would like to especially recognize Hassan (or Hassim) at the front desk. He was very pleasant, and handled my arrival with great professionalism. I also want to commend the young lady at the Club Lounge (a new staff member from Myamar); she was incredibly friendly and diligent in managing both check-ins and the food supply. Having lived in Dubai for two years and previously stayed at the Media Rotana in Barsha, I found Towers Rotana to be just as exceptional. The convenience and service are top-tier. I will certainly stay here again and will be recommending your hotel to my friends.

Location: 15 mins walk from business bay metro station (red line), 40min walk to Burj Khalifa. The location is fine. There are two 24hr supermarkets next door so very convenient  All of Dubai has new buildings going up, so no matter where you stay you will be around building work.  Clean: Room is clean, however on one day we found the towels were not placed tidy and there was sand on the floor that was not cleaned.  Room: We got upgraded to a Deluxe room, it's big. Room has fridge also which is a plus. Large wardrobe, desk area and large shower / bathroom.  Breakfast Much variety of breakfast, including a chef who will cook for you. Really good choices for Asian (Chinese) pallet, Arab food and Western food.  Gym: Great gym, some cardio machines but a full weight stack on machines and a full dumbbell rack which is rare for hotel gyms.  They have a pool, but we didnt try it. There is also a Sauna room also.  Good Things: It's nearby enough to the station so it's easy to get to.  The room is large and clean and quiet  The AC is great, very quiet but still can make the room super cold if you want it. Bad things: It's what I describe as USA service, everyone is warm, friendly and available, but all seem to only do it if they expect a tip. I guess thats common Overall: The value of the hotel is good, the location is reasonable, the food is good and the service is acceptable. There is nothing wrong with the Hotel, but also nothing that screams Outstanding. 

Had a fantastic stay! The hotel's location is superb, just a 3-minute walk from the metro station. Our room even had a balcony with a view of the station. There's a 24-hour supermarket right downstairs. You can walk to Dubai Mall or the Fountain Show (which was spectacular, highly recommend it!) in about 20 minutes. The room was incredibly spacious, and it had everything we needed. The staff were all very professional and proactive. I have to say, customer service in Dubai is top-notch. The hotel offers a taxi service to the airport for 80 AED (approximately 160 RMB), which is a reasonable price. They also have two morning shuttle services to Jumeirah Beach and three afternoon shuttles to Dubai Mall. The gym is spacious, and the pool offers views of the Burj Khalifa, open from 6 AM to 11 PM.

Stayed here recently for a short staycation and overall had a pleasant experience, particularly considering the very reasonable rate we paid for a suite. The hotel itself is certainly impressive visually, with its distinctive golden tower design and famous status as one of Dubai’s landmark hotels. Check-in and valet parking were efficient, the elevators were surprisingly quick for such a tall building, and the room itself was clean and well maintained. We also ordered room service during our stay and found the food tasty, reasonably priced, and delivered promptly. One thing I did not realise when booking is that this is a dry hotel, so alcohol is not served anywhere on the property. That was my oversight rather than the hotel’s, but it may be useful information for future guests to know in advance. Our suite was spacious and more apartment-style in layout, with a separate bedroom and kitchen area. However, the overall setup felt quite minimalist in terms of amenities and furnishings. Although the suite includes a kitchen, there are notices advising guests not to use it, and aside from two drinking glasses there were no utensils, crockery, or cutlery provided. Similarly, amenities throughout the room felt limited to the basics: two guests but only two bath towels, two rolls of toilet paper across two bathrooms, and minimal additional furnishings such as sofa cushions or dining seating around the kitchen counter area. The room itself was comfortable enough, although there were a few practical details that impacted sleep quality for us. The illuminated touch-panel light controls remain quite bright overnight, and once your eyes adjust the room never becomes fully dark. There was also overnight construction noise nearby during our stay, although of course that may be temporary and outside the hotel’s control. Guests sensitive to light or noise may wish to keep this in mind. Another thing worth noting is that many rooms appear to face sideways toward neighbouring towers rather than directly toward Sheikh Zayed Road or the coastline, so lower-floor rooms may have fairly limited views depending on their orientation. Overall, I would say the stay represented fair value for the price we paid. While it may not feel especially luxurious or fully equipped compared with some other Dubai four-star properties, it was clean, efficient, and suitable for a short stay, particularly for guests looking for a well-located and affordable suite-style hotel experience.
