"Staying at 'Mugeum Gwangalli' during my Busan trip was truly the best decision ever! LOL. I didn't expect much since it was a dormitory, but I was relieved throughout my stay because it was much cleaner and more pleasant than I anticipated. Most importantly, the location is amazing. It's close to the subway station, and as soon as you step out of the alley, you're right at Gwangalli Beach, making getting around super convenient. The strict separation of male and female dorms allowed me to relax comfortably, and the independent single-person cabin structure meant I could sleep cozily without feeling self-conscious. The view was also so beautiful that I enjoyed a relaxing time watching the night scenery. If I had known the value for money was this good, I would have come sooner. Thanks to this, I'm romantically wrapping up the beauty of Busan at Mugeum. I will definitely revisit if I come to Busan again!"

"This hotel was close to Haeundae Beach. My wife and I stay near Haeundae Beach once a year for about 3-7 days. This time, we spent 4 days and 3 nights at Arirang Island in Busan Haeundae. Its proximity to Haeundae Beach allowed us to enjoy pleasant strolls after breakfast and dinner. The owner was also very kind; they personally resolved even our small requests and always greeted us with a smile, making our stay very comfortable. If I get the chance to visit Haeundae again, I definitely want to stay at Arirang Island."

"This was my first time staying in a hostel, and I had a lot of concerns, but it turned out to be surprisingly great!! The room smelled wonderful, and the blankets and pillows were so soft and comfortable to sleep in! There's a women's-only bathroom, but you have to walk through the men's bathroom to get there (I was a little worried about encountering men in the toilet, but thankfully it was fine). There are three shared shower rooms, all very clean. It's very close to the KTX, just 200 meters to the left after exiting the hotel, super convenient. You can still hear the sounds of people washing up in the hallway quite clearly, but everyone gradually quiets down after 11 pm. I was lucky to have such good roommates; the four-person room was relatively quiet. Highly recommended!"

"Ease of Check-in: This hostel is conveniently located in Nampo-dong, close to Busan Station, making transportation very easy. Even arriving at Busan Station around 1 AM on check-in day, there was still a bus to the hostel, and there are direct airport buses nearby. The surrounding Nampo-dong commercial district offers super convenient options for dining, entertainment, and shopping. Security: There's a dedicated area for female guests, requiring key card access for entry and exit. Rooms also have lockers with locks. Facilities: I booked a 5-person room. Although not large, the room was very clean and bright. The beds had curtains, and the bedding was comfortable. There were plenty of power outlets and good lighting by the bed. While the hostel isn't huge, it's very cozy. The toilets and showers are quite spacious. Free breakfast is provided (it's simple, and you need to prepare it yourself). The kitchen is well-equipped with cutlery and cooking utensils. The water dispenser even has an ice-making function. Cleanliness & Environment: The hostel is generally quiet, and the cleanliness is excellent – super clean! Service: Most accommodations in Korea operate with self-check-in, and this hostel doesn't have a 24-hour front desk. However, the hostel consistently sends out emails to guests beforehand with detailed check-in guides and reminders, making the overall check-in process very smooth. The room key card also feels high-quality. It truly lives up to its high ratings and great value for money in Busan. Highly recommended! 👍"

"The best accommodation near Seomyeon Station. Considering both location and price, this might be the top place in Busan. It can be quiet for a guesthouse, but as the welcome message states, it's their culture here. While it's not a place for drinking, couldn't you still chat depending on your own inclination? Although all rooms seem like dormitories, if you look closely, there are also twin rooms. A tip is to go for a dormitory with fewer people (because the more people there are, the higher the chance of someone snoring ㅠㅠ). They provide all sorts of amenities, so you can come empty-handed, and there's absolutely nothing lacking in terms of facilities. It's like a luxury hotel. I'll definitely come again next time!"

"THE GOOD It's important to understand that this is an affordable hostel with a view but is not as fancy as it may seem in the photos. You're not going to get a luxury, super-comfortable stay with a bay view at this low of price. Speaking of the view, it's very nice during the day and at night from the top floor breakfast room and the bay view rooms on the levels right below it. Speaking of breakfast, you do have to cook the eggs yourself, but there are three burners and some other good food options, too. We also had a great experience with the staff at the reception desk, who were friendly, helpful, and apologetic about any issues. The WiFi was good, with a modem and router in each room. The location is great, too, if you love shopping streets, street food, fish markets, wharfs, and a more locals side of Busan. Access to the subway and buses is incredible, so you can get over to Haeudae Beach, Gwangali Beach, Dadaepo Beach, Gamcheon Culture Village, Busan Station (for trains to Seoul and Gyeongju), and more, but if you want to frequent Haeudae, it's kind of a long haul from here. THE NOT-SO-GOOD Our bay view room was a bit gimmicky, because while the view was nice, the room is quite small, has flimsy furniture, and lacks hooks (except the one in the window where the sun will fade your clothes). The wall of windows is cool to look through, but in May, we had the curtains closed 99% of the time because the south-facing room gets blasted by the sun and the AC isn't powerful enough to counteract it. The room was in need of maintenance, too, with ruined flooring due to a poor bathroom door design and things starting to fall apart in the bathroom. Speaking of the bathroom, if you need 100% total privacy, it may not work for you. The shade over the very large window is barely sufficient in its thickness, and it has a two-inch gap on either side where you can see down to the street 9 stories below (see photo). You have to stand in a specific spot in the bathroom while showering with the handheld showerhead in order to feel entirely private, and you have to be very careful to not spray the leaky door. We also discovered that things that aren't used regularly can be dusty, and we found dust bunnies in the hallways. The bed also had a firm, squeaky spring mattress that didn't encourage the greatest sleep. If you're a backpacker or budget traveler like us, you'll find this place passable (especially for the price, location, and breakfast), but if you have normal hotel standards, this hostel may not meet them."

"Kimchee Haeundae Guesthouse is a good budget hostel near Haeundae Beach. The property is well maintained and has spacious dorm rooms. There is a 7-Eleven on one side and GS25 and Emart on the other, making it very convenient. The reception is open only from 4–9 PM. The only downside was that the upper bunk did not have charging points, so I had to climb down every time to charge my phone. Otherwise, it is a safe and comfortable stay in the Haeundae area and is recommended for budget travelers."

"It was much cleaner than I expected, and the accessibility is excellent. There is a Michelin-starred ramen shop right next door, so I was able to leave my luggage and go around comfortably! I recommend this accommodation if you visit Gwangalli in Busan."

"The location is unbelievably good, right next to Busan Station. It's incredibly convenient for catching the KTX in the morning, practically like staying inside Busan Station itself! You can see in the second picture, Busan Station is on the left, and the hotel is the red sign on the bottom right. It's just a crosswalk away. Throughout my stay, taking the subway was also super easy as it's practically at the doorstep. The front desk lady's English was excellent, haha (◍•ᴗ•◍)! She was super friendly, very caring, and welcoming! The bed felt quite comfortable, and I slept well. There's a front desk area where you can cook and make instant noodles yourself. However, I noticed the lady at the front desk had a bit of a tough time with waste sorting, so I hope the hotel can add more clear waste sorting signs (foreigners really struggle with Korea's waste sorting system 🥹). And I also hope all guests staying here try their best to follow the rules!"

Although the room is lying announcing that after 23:00 there was no noise, there was a party above the floors, so there was a feeling that I sleep on a football field, and around me scream and squeeze fans.
